Gingerbright’s eyes shined brighter than any of the lights strung up upon the Kingdom or even the star on the big tree. Strawberry smiled, this was why she loved her.
There never was a competition about which lights shone the brightest when Gingerbright was around. The answer was always so clear, it was her.
She made everything better, always carrying a smile. She was easily impressed and found interest in everything. It was cute, even if she had no intention of remembering it. She always wanted to hear everything’s story. She was like a puppy—curious with energy to match.
There was a fresh blanket of snow on the ground that left a crunch as they walked. It was still snowing little flurries. Gingerbright was running around trying to catch the snowflakes on her tongue.
Strawberry didn’t have the same type of energy so she watched her partner run around. She shivered, even with her hoodie she was freezing. How was Gingerbright not freezing? All she had on was that dress, how?
Gingerbright noticed Strawberry's shivering and ran up to her. Strawberry was confused until suddenly Gingerbright squeezed her with a tight hug.
"A warm up hug!!"
Was all she had to say. Strawberry hugged back. She felt warmer, whether it was because of the hug or the blush it left on her face. She didn't know, but what she did know is she was sure this cookie was the love of her life.
She was truly the star of Strawberry's life. The warmth that kept her alive. The center of her universe. Her star.
Her star then threw a snowball at her. It was on. With Gingerbright's usually terrible aim Strawberry already knew she would be going down for this.
Never mess with a gamer. She may be her girlfriend but that won't stop Strawberry from going all out as she formed the snowball.
She looked Gingerbright dead in the eyes as she prepared to throw the snowball. Last thing she saw before throwing it was Gingerbright’s face of 'I fucked up' and then her being struck with the ball.
