Work Text:

"We have to talk about the Zenkaigers." Nezu had spoken, the staff of UA looking at him in surprise.

"The vigilante group? Why would we need to talk about them?" Vlad King is the first to ask, everyone seeming to nod along.

"Because before the recent events of Hosu, they were simply an ally group who we could depend on in case of emergencies. They were the only ones capable of harming that World Robot, as the so-called League of Villains had named it." Nezu responds, clasping his paws together. "But after their encounter with the Hero Killer, and two of our own students, it's clear that there may be more going on than what the surface stirs."

Aizawa, who had been one of the responders, sinks into his seat, thinking back to the last encounter with the group.

"We gotta go! Come on!" The red, dinosaur modeled robot grabs onto their leader's shoulders, trying to drag the fighter back.

"But he talked with them! He might know where my father is! Please, it's just a question!" The white suited figure pleads, the blue eyes of his helmet looking at the unconscious form of the hero killer.

"Iz-Zenkaiser!" The pink witch cries, tugging on his cape. "Mm-mm-mmm-Magine!" She cries, pink clouds covering her, before moving to the rest of the team.

The yellow cat and blue dump truck follow after, as they all disappear in a puff of smoke. All the while, Zenkaiser is still trying to reach out, desperately crying for the location of his father.

"If we are to believe what was said, than it is likely that their leader is opposing the League in search of his father." Nezu's voice snaps Aizawa from his thoughts, the man focusing on his boss once more. "8f this is true, then maybe if we find his father, we can keep the group from further trouble, or rely on them in future events."

"And how do you suppose we do that? We don't exactly know the guy's identity, and his teammates aren't exactly easy to find either. They show up in armor, only to add more on." Midnight speaks, twirling her finger around a lock of hair.

"Perhaps a search into families with missing fathers?" Snipe offers up, and Nezu hums with a nod.

"It narrows the search, but not by much. We don't have many options, but I remembered an old colleague of mine had a device that could help." Nezu speaks, before looking at Aizawa. "Eraserhead, would you mind going to his place of residence and picking up the device he called the Search Gear? It might help us locate any hostages the League may have once we find their location."

Aizawa nods, standing up.

"Oh, and one more thing, do be careful. He's rather excitable."

Oh great, just what he needs. Another loud, cheery person in his life.

Hisashi Midoriya… Nezu's old colleague. Aizawa had heard of him before, a pretty big name in support tech, and was a revolutionary theoretical physicist.

His home was pretty plain on the outside, if a little big, but he was sure to find the man inside to be anything but. So, bracing himself for hell, he knocked on the door, and waited.

His waiting paid off, when a kid that looked to be around the same age as his students answered the door. Green, messy hair, with eyes to match. He was in a white sweater and a blue vest, a ripped pair of jeans and… And he had the red shoes that signified Quirklessness.

"Uhm, can I help you?" The kid asks, and Aizawa shakes himself from his stupor.

"Uh, yeah. I'm looking for Hisashi Midoriya? My boss sent me here to retrieve a device from him." Aizawa speaks, and the kid looks down in sadness at the mention of the man's name.

"I'm sorry to tell you sir, but Hisashi went missing a couple of years ago." The kid speaks and, oh does that explain his downtrodden spirit. This must actually be Hisashi's kid. "Uhm, if you know the device's name, I can help you look."

"Y-yeah. It's called a Search Gear." Aizawa says, and the kid nods, opening the door to let him in.

Walking in, Aizawa finds what he thought would be a living room to be a small storefront, a few counters with boxes full of baked goods, a small fridge with drinks, even a cash register. A soft smell enters his nose, and the sweet smell of chocolate follows.

"Ah, Doubu, don't forget to grab the Dino Cookie cutters! We need that for tomorrow's party!" A man dressed in red yells from behind the counter, before noticing the man and the kid. "Oh, Izuku! Who's this?"

"I'm Shouta Aizawa, a teacher at UA. I'm here on behalf of the principal to grab a support item." Aizawa speaks, bowing to the other man. They look about the same age, but it never hurts to be polite.

"Ah, no need for that. I'm Kyo Akadoriya, one of the squirts' cousins. Nice to meet ya! I'd offer some treats, but we're actually closed today! Though, I guess we're closed everyday, since we're only now setting up the physical store! Hahaha!" The man laughs, crossing his arms.

"We run a sweets shop. With dad missing, and my mom abroad, I'm living here until she comes back." Izuku, as he was now named, explains, a small smile on his face.

Aizawa nods, and out from a door behind the counter steps a man in yellow, a cat tail attached to him. "Hey, 'Zuku, are you sure we can't have cat cookies too? You know they're my favorite!"

"It was Kyo's win the other night, you know that! When we have a full win, we can have all shapes!" Izuku cheers back, shaking his head. "That's Doubu Kirodoriya, another of my cousins."

"Do all of your cousins have colors in their names?" Aizawa asks, getting a nod back, and then a shake of the head.

"See, my dad's family was pretty big, but their family name was just Doriya. When they all got married, they added a color to their name to add a little fun. My dad chose Midori, because green was his favorite color. The only family who didn't was my aunt, who took her husband's name… Which already had a color in it. The Goldtsuikars." Izuku explained, as he took Aizawa further into the back.

The man looked as they passed a small library, a man in blue and glasses was in a chair, a pile of books next to him as he read whatever one was in his hands currently. He looked up and waved at Izuku and Aizawa, who waved back.

"That's another of my cousins, Gou Aodoriya. He's a big reader, and is always trying to learn something new everyday." Izuku goes on, Aizawa being reminded of a certain blue haired boy in his class, who also happened to be related to a friend of his.

Another room, another person inside. This time it was a girl that seemed to be around Izuku's age, dressed in all pink, in a rather… Occult, looking room. (Tokoyami might like this place.) When she took notice of Izuku she perked up a little, but when she saw Aizawa, she started getting nervous. Izuku quickly closed the door.

"That's Mahoi Momodoriya. She likes magic and stuff, but she's a bit shy, more so than even me." Izuku explains, before they continue on.

Finally, the two reach a door with a small sign in front of it, 'Izuku’s Room' written on it in rather mismatched writing. Aizawa assumes everyone wanted to help write his name.

"I usually keep a lot of dad's stuff in my closet, if you don't mind waiting a little, I'll get the thing out for you." Izuku says, opening the door up.

The room was… Well, it wasn't what Aizawa was expecting, considering the other family members' penchant for oddities. It was painted in a cream white, a border of red, yellow, blue, and pink circling the room near the ceiling. The bed was neat, and adorned in green sheets, resting next to a plain wooden nightstand.

For decorations, there were a few hero posters, not one All Might (which was odd, since most kids adore the buffoon) but there were actually quite a few posters of famous locations around the world (they were amateur-ish, almost like they were taken personally). The strangest of the posters though, was one on the wall opposite of the bed.

It wasn't large, about the size of a standard piece of paper, but what was drawn (yes, drawn ) was the attraction point.

It was the Zenkaigers.

Zenkaiser, Zyuran, Gaon, Magine, and Vroom. All of them, in that pose they do after a roll call. It was highly detailed, down to including the small black dots on Zenkaiser's helmet, and the obvious height difference between him and everyone else.

Below it sat a desk, various bits of machinery strewn about, and what seemed to be a blueprint underneath.

"Ah, I forgot I was working on that!" Izuku clamors, quickly covering it with a blanket. "I need to be more careful about putting the anti-static blanket on things, otherwise they could break."

"Are you aiming to be a support artist? What school do you go to?" Aizawa asks, and Izuku lowers his head with a small shake.

"No, I uh… I'm not going to any school. This isn't even a support item, it's just a piece of junk right now." He says, rubbing at his arm. "Have a seat, I'll get to looking for the Search Gear."

Aizawa takes a seat at the desk, and despite knowing better, lets his curiosity overtake him, and he peeks at what part of the blueprint remains uncovered. It shocks him, to say the least.

It was Zenkaiser again, but different. He was in a bulky set of armor, a spear in hand. He almost looked like a dragon, the way his helmet crested. Though, the drawing was a little crude, almost like it was just an imaginative idea.

"Are you a… Fan of the Zenkaigers?" Aizawa asks, and his attention wanders back to Izuku, the boy exiting the closet, with a bulky grey object in hand.

"Ah, yeah, you could say that. I mean, nobody knows what their Quirks are, because they all use that tech, right? So, they're essentially fighting Quirkless. It… It gives me hope that maybe one day, I can be like them." Izuku looks down, his grip on the device tightening.

Aizawa remembers his shoes, and looks down as well.

"I… I wanted so badly to be a hero when I grew up. Helping people was my dream." Izuku starts, and Aizawa listens in. "My mom, she treated me like glass, but dad, and everyone else… They encouraged me to keep going. I took martial arts classes, and studied hard, but, no matter what happened, it seemed they would be the only ones to support me. But then… Dad went missing, and mom went overseas, and…" Izuku wiped at his face with an arm. "Sorry, I don't know why I started talking about that stuff."

"It's okay, I've been told I'm a great listener." Aizawa says. It's not a lie, he has to be in order to be a better teacher, as well as a hero. But the things Izuku is saying… He needs to be heard, all the way through. "Please, continue. I don't mind."

Izuku looks at him in shock, before looking down. "I, um… Well… Back in middle school, on the first day of our final year, I… I was told to do something awful." Izuku said, and Aizawa knew well enough not to go any further than that. "And after that, I… I had a run in with a villain. One of those World Robots the news has been talking about."

And then, Aizawa realizes something. Last year was when the Robots started attacking, which means the league was in motion even then. Shit, how had they forgotten this?!

"I thought I was gonna die, but would you believe it, All Might saved me!" Izuku continues, but the smile on his face isn't that of joy. It's a tired smile, one that aches. Aizawa begs the universe to lead this story away from where it's going, but…

The universe hates him.

"I finally had the chance to ask a hero, The Hero, if a quirkless person could be a hero too! And he said…! He said…" Izuku looked down again, tears threatening to spill out. "He said no."

And Aizawa grit his teeth. The boy had said it so quietly, so softly, like it was a curse. Like nothing had mattered after that.

"I went home and… Accepted reality. I couldn't be a hero, no way, no how. I was stuck in my room for weeks, not even going to school, until I remembered something my dad said." Izuku brings the device back up, and hands it to Aizawa.

The Search Gear was, well, a giant Gear. It had small buttons and touch interlays, as well as a seam that hinted it could open up.

"He said, 'Even if one dream dies, you can always find another. The world is full of firsts, so find yours! Always go at Full Force Full Throttle!'" Izuku smiles, running in place. "When I heard Zenkaiser said the same thing, I figured that he must have been influenced by my dad too, considering all the tech stuff."

And that was another possibility. With all of the gear tech, including this device from Hisashi himself, could the Zenkaigers have been his friends? In fact, was he the one Zenkaiser was looking for? But if that were the case…

Aizawa looks at Izuku again, and puts Zenkaiser overtop of him. The heights match, the voices seem similar, and they even say similar sentences…

But Izuku just seems too timid, too messy. The kid is way too normal. And, the kid uses 'boku' while Zenkaiser uses 'ore'.

Perhaps they're brothers then, and they just haven't met. Aizawa has experienced weirder after all.

"Well, I'm glad you can find inspiration." Aizawa says, giving the kid a smile.

Izuku nods back. "Mhm! I did find my new dream too! Together with my cousins, we're gonna be the number one sweets seller for heroes! Uhm, All Might excluded, of course. Though, they don't know that yet…"

Ah, makes sense why the kid was hesitant. His family doesn't know, or they do and he hasn't brought it up with them.

"Well, I'll make sure to keep my lips sealed." Aizawa says, and Izuku nods. "I'll get out of your hair now. Thank you for your help."

"Thank you for yours." Izuku replies back with a nod.

Aizawa exits the Doriya household in higher spirits than he came in with. Though, upon stepping outside, he finds Kyo leaning against the house with his arms crossed.

"We've been trying to get the kid to open up about that day for months. He's never talked about the All Might part, but… But we're glad he has now." The man says, and Aizawa nods. He's not surprised they listened in, a strange man enters a room with the youngest of the family, and there's bound to be caution. "He never mentioned the kid who told him to do that thing, not to you, but that's because he's too nice for his own good. Me? Well I like to say it how it is, so I'm gonna drop the smile and tell you how it is." He pulls a piece of paper from his pocket and puts it to Aizawa's chest.

The hero takes the paper and unfolds it, before looking it over. It's… "A list of names…" And right at the top, was one of his own students.

Katsuki Bakugou.

"That's everyone who was in his middle school class, including his teacher. The kid at the top was… Was his childhood friend, and the one who said that shit." Kyo clarifies, crossing his arms once more. "My email is at the bottom. If you want to help me show Izuku these things need to be addressed and rectified, send me an e-mail, and I'll give you all the evidence I've managed to accrue over the years."

"Why are you bringing this to me? Why not the police?" Aizawa asks, and the man lets out a barked laugh.

"Like the police would ever help a quirkless kid. You're a hero, right? You work at UA, after all. I'd rather you than a blue boy." And that was all Kyo said, before going back inside.

Aizawa looked at the list again, and crinkled it a little in his grip.

Suddenly, the door opened, and a bag of cookies was in the same hand. He looked back, seeing Mahou shaking in front of the door.

"U-umm, a taste of our goods, i-in case you want to c-c-c-come back." She said, before sprinting back inside.

Aizawa went back to walking away, putting away the list. He opened up the bag, and pulled out a small pink cookie in the shape of a witch hat. He took a bite…

It was really good.

"Don't forget to pack snacks for the camping trip. I don't want you all complaining if you get hungry." Aizawa says, as he hosts the final homeroom of the day.

"Yes sir!" The class replies and he lets out a sigh.

Speaking of snacks, he was thinking about going back to Colorful, the Doriya's sweets shop, to get some more. Ever since he finished the bag he had, he had been craving more like crazy. After work today, he'd head back.

The final bell rang, and the class looked at him in anticipation. "Alright, class dismissed." He says, and the class launches into conversation as they scramble up for the day.

He goes to leave himself, but then a certain explosive blonde walks past him. An angry scowl crosses his face, and for once Aizawa is happy for that.

He decided to trust Kyo, and sent an email. The things he received as evidence… They were enough to convince the principal he was bad news. So, Bakugou, in fear of him being a future villain, is being forced to attend anger therapy and volunteer at quirkless facilities to learn why his way of thinking is wrong. In fact, this has given Aizawa the idea to have the whole class work at these facilities to learn about the world they ignore.

"Have you guys heard about this bakery? They opened to the public a couple weeks ago! They were only online at first, but now you can actually eat in!" Aizawa hears Ashido say, and he realizes that they must be talking about, "It's called Colorful, and it's actually super close by! Why don't we go check it out?! It's supposed to be super good and pretty inexpensive too!"

"Well, I guess it wouldn't hurt to try." Asui responds. "Uraraka, I'd get you something too, kero."

"Really? Uhm, okay, I guess I'll come with then." The brunette responds.

"Hey, mind if we tag along? I could go for some sweets right now." Kaminari and Sero approach, the blonde's desire to get with ladies clear behind his intent. (Aizawa dreads what the boy would be like if he had allowed that perverted applicant to stay in his class. Even if the class is a member short, it's better than a sequel harassment lawsuit waiting to happen.)

"It is not wise to eat sweets before dinner! Though, I suppose bonding with classmates is also an advantageous thing…" Iida speaks, thinking over the options.

Aizawa merely lets out a sigh. Seems his want to get sweets will be noisier than he would like.

Of course, by the time he gets to Colorful, his students are still there. It seems they even managed to rope Yaoyorozu, Jirou, Sato, and Kirishima into their little outing.

"Ah, Mr. Aizawa! A pleasure to see you!" Iida says, and Aizawa desperately wishes he could be elsewhere. But the heart wants what the heart wants, and all that.

"It's good to see you again, sir." Izuku says, walking from behind the counter in an apron, and how happy Aizawa is to see a reasonable child. "Did you need another one of dad's devices?"

"Actually I came to see if I could get another bag of cookies, and maybe more. My co-workers kept pestering me about how good it smelled, and I'd rather them stop bugging me."

Izuku lets out a small laugh. "Well, we can't have that, can we? I'll set you up for a cookie bag and an assortment box." The boy heads back behind the counter, and toward what Aizawa assumes is the kitchen.

Not wanting to stand around to wait, the man instead takes a seat near his student's table, hoping that Izuku would be back soon, and that he would fade into the back of the kid's minds.

Something that was done far sooner than he thought.

"Jirou, you should totally ask for the cashier's number!" Ashido speaks, that usual high pitch in her voice when she talks about romance. "I totally saw how you blushed when he laughed at you making fun of Kaminari!"

"O-oi! No you didn't, stop lying!" The violette retorts, her jacks going haywire.

"Man, even here I get bad luck…" Kaminari pouts, flopping against the table.

"Better luck next time, sparky." Sero mocks, patting the boy on the back.

"Still, it was a good idea to come here. It's surprisingly quiet, and the treats are so tasty! I suspect this place will become a top study location for students. I wonder if they would mind catering for one of the family parties someday…" Yaoyorozu comments, speaking mostly to herself.

"I admire their dedication to the craft! Baking is so manly!" And there's Kirishima's usual odd statement.

"It really is incredible! I'll have to see if they'd be willing to share some recipes!" Sato comments, as he prods at a piece of cake.

Suddenly, a small beep starts coming from nearby. Aizawa looks around, and in the corner of the room, he sees a robot bird of all things resting on a bookcase, eyes blinking as it's head moves from side to side.

Suddenly, the whole Doriya family comes rushing out of the kitchen, looking at the bird.

"Seriously, now? We have customers!" Doubu complains, before Kyo smacks the back of his head.

"That's just how sudden closings are, man. We'll set everyone's stuff to go and head out." He says, before looking at the students. "Sorry kids, but an emergency is an emergency. We have to get going."

The kids whine, but Aizawa clears his throat, reminding them of his presence. They quiet up, and quickly start heading out. Izuku runs over to him, handing him a small box, and a bag of cookies.

"Sorry, but that includes you too." He explains, and Aizawa nods, but as he touches the door to leave, he looks back at the family.

"What is this alert for anyways?"

"Oh, it's a family call alert. If we need to meet up with them in a hurry, that guy rings and lets us know we gotta go." Kyo explains.

"Indeed! We take family matters very seriously, after all!" Gou adds on, and everyone nods.

"I see. Well, I won't keep you." Aizawa says, leaving the house. The family follows after, Izuku locking the door, before they all run off.

As they do, Aizawa swears the family, minus Izuku, begin to glow in the color of their clothes.

Half an hour later, Aizawa finds an alert on the hero net that the Zenkaigers had shown up and fought another World Robot.

The trip to the campsite is long, and Aizawa knows that. It's why he's using this time to look into the Doriya family. After their little rush out, and the appearance of the Zenkaiger's, he can't help but be curious about their history.

So, here he is, looking over their student files.

First, Kyo Akadoriya. Oldest of the cousins, graduated from UA in general studies. His grades were pretty average, and he seemed to be noted as a delinquent, though only because he got in fights with far worse students. He had a good head on his shoulders. His quirk is Dino Scale, and lets him cover his body in metallic scales, making him resemble a sort of Dino-Human-Robot. No pictures, which was weird. (Wasn't Zyuran like that too?)

Doubu Kirodoriya was next. A graduate of a Kosei, he had originally intended to become a veterinarian, but was excommunicated due to his support of quirkless rights. His quirk is Neko Bot, which turns his body into a metallic Cat-Human figure. (Gaon…)

Gou Aodoriya. Also Kosei. He never figured out his career path, and said he might become a librarian. Instead, he became a janitor at… The Hero Commission. While there, he learned a secret he shouldn't have, and was fired. His body is Motor Body, which like his other cousins, gives him a robot body, but makes it more truck themed. (Vroom too?)

Mahou Momodoriya, the second youngest of the family. She was actually eighteen, and had just recently graduated from Ketsubutsu. She is interested in the Occult, as mentioned, but is also socially anxious. Seems this is because she has a past of several bullying. Her quirk is Metal Magic and, guess what, makes her a robot like her cousins, somewhat based on a dragon. (And there's Magine.)

All the clues lead to the family being the Zenkaigers, and Hisashi Midoriya being the man who was kidnapped. But why would they hide from the public? Izuku especially, since he could be in UA with his prowess as Zenkaiser. Who cares if he's…

Quirkless. Right.

All Might forced him away from his dream. He's too scared to be a true hero, so being a Vigilante is the next best thing. Aizawa curls his hand into a fist, then looks back at his class. Particularly, at Bakugou.

The blonde had made strides in his efforts, and even told Aizawa he wanted to apologize to Izuku one day. Maybe, if the boy can change… He shakes his head. He doesn't have time to worry about this.

He needs to make sure this trip doesn't go to shit.

The trip went to shit.

Villains invaded, Bakugou was kidnapped, Jirou and Hagakure were hospitalized for unknown damage to their lungs, a number of students suffered more physical injuries…

And the Zenkaigers were currently facing down one of the strongest villains Aizawa has ever seen alongside All Might.

It's a mess, rubble everywhere, civilians trapped on the edges of the area, and All Might was beat to hell, close to being his weaker self.

The man looked ready to take the villain down, but only if he went down too… It was painful to watch, but Aizawa could only think about how Izuku felt during all of this. It's obvious the boy is Zenkaiger now, so working alongside All Might must be awful considering the last time they interacted.

The camera pans away from the fight, which seems to be at a temporary stalemate until the villain strikes again, and focuses on the other Zenkaigers assisting the heroes in getting civilians away from the scene. Just then, Zyuran pulls out a phone and types away at it.

Aizawa's message gets a ping, and he finds a new email in his inbox.

'Go to Izuku's room and press the tail on the robot. Key is under the mat. Leave all doors open. Will explain later.'

Aizawa knows what to do.

"Punch after punch, all you do is bore me, All Might." All For One speaks, walking closer to them by the second. "At least your friend is proving to be amusing. Zenkaiser, was it? I will remember you for giving me a laugh."

"Oh, give me a break. Like I'm gonna be remembered as fodder for an All Might fight." The leader of the Zenkaigers speaks, dragging himself off of the ground. "I'll just have to think of a better Sentai team to counter him. Gokaiger maybe?"

"Your nonsense won't get us anywhere. Why do you insist on fighting? You should help your team." All Might says, his jaded mind clouding his words. He only means to protect the boy.

"Because, unlike you, I won't ever stop trying to get people to smile. This guy stands between people and joy, and I won't let him ruin that bright future!" Zenkaiser yells, and in a cosmic moment of trust in him, his cape seems to flutter in a sudden burst of wind.

A small roar echoes across the battlefield, and a dash of grey and green rockets into his arms, knocking the boy back a bit.

"ZENKAIJU GEAR!" The device announces, a robotic dinosaur moving in his arms.

"What? I thought I left you at home?! Did Secchan find out how to open the door at last?" The leader speaks, before shaking his head. "No matter. You're just what I need to even the odds!"

He brings out his gun and twists the dinosaur into resembling a beast's head, before loading it into the gear slot at the butt of his weapon. He begins to crank the handle, until a confirmation sound rings out.

"SUUUPERRRRRR!!"

"Super Change Zenkai!" The boy shouts, before firing the gun out, a gear turning in air, before slamming back into the boy.

His body is covered 8n bulky gray armor, resembling a dragon and a knight, as he holds a spear in hand.

"Secret Power Up! Super Zenkaiser!" The leader chants, posing effectively. "I'm not letting my dream die! Not this one, or any other! I'll speed towards the top… FULL FORCE FULL THROTTLE!!" He runs forward, moving at a speed far faster than All Might expected.

"Don't think a change in appearance will help you!" All For One cries, using his monstrous arm to throw out a punch.

However, Zenkaiser twirls his spear, stabbing it into the ground, and launching himself over the attack. His foot makes contact with the villain's face, and causes him to stumble back. The vigilante's head turns, and All Might makes eye contact. The man in armor nods, and All Might does as well, the hero launching forward and following the attack up with a mighty punch.

Finally, the two are working together.

Aizawa watches the Doriya's TV with bated breath, as All Might and Zenkaiser go in for the final attack.

" UNITED STATES OF…!"

"CHO ZENKAI! SUPER…!"

"SMASH!!! / BUSTER!!!"

The two shout, as All Might lands a punch on the villain's face, sending him crashing to the ground. Zenkaiser fires out a blast of green energy, sending his spear spiraling towards the villain in a flurry of green light.

The resulting impact whips up a Tornado, bathed in green, as rubble, heroes, vigilantes, and civilians are pushed back.

Finally, the wind clears, and with an air of tension, the news camera zooms in.

All Might, weakened, but not beaten, stands in victory, with his fist raised to the sky. He buffs up once more, for what could be the last time, as he staggers, keeping a foothold to keep society safe.

Meanwhile, Zenkaiser has returned to normal, and is currently helping a woman out of the rubble, as he looks to the hero he had fought alongside.

Aizawa watches as news copters land, but his eyes stay focused on where Zenkaiser is, as his teammates rush up to him, hugging him as they overflow with emotions.

The cameras spin away from them, and focus on All Might, as he watches the other heroes load away the villain for transport. He raises a finger, and says with as much strength as he can muster:

"Next, is you."

And to many, he was talking to criminals, a warning. But to Aizawa, the man who paid attention to detail, he saw how All Might wasn't pointing directly at the camera. Just a tad off… Where the Zenkaigers were.

He was talking to the future heroes. It was their turn to be the pillars of hope. Their turn to fight.

Aizawa sighed, and let his head fall against his clenched hands.

They were children. His students, Izuku, Mahou. They were expected to fight this kind of battle? Why… Why did the world hate him so?

"So, what do we do about the kid?" All Might asks, and Aizawa wishes he wouldn't.

Izuku was currently in a police holding cell, having been caught after the fight with All For One. His family was in other cells, but they weren't able to communicate. It made Aizawa seethe.

"Well, considering they weren't using Quirks, and their tech doesn't count as support items, legally? Nothing. Emotionally? I'm pretty sure this is breaking them." Naomasa says, and Aizawa is thankful this man knows his law. "There's no real charges to be had, so we just have to let them go."

"And let them continue to endanger themselves? You saw what happened tonight!" All Might yells, and Izuku flinches.

"I saw you nearly die and that kid save your life! If anything, we should send him to UA and make him a legal hero! Hell, I'll sign his license myself!" Naomasa argued back, and shut the hero up.

"You know, that's not a bad idea." Nezu finally pipes up, getting the room to look at him. "Considering the arrest is public knowledge, if we tell them they will instead be made UA affiliates, and put into the Vigilante reform program, we might be able to solve many issues at once."

Aizawa scratches at his chin, before looking at Nezu. "Do we have the budget to move their house onto UA property?" He asks, and all he gets is a laugh in response. To be fair, it was a silly question.

Of course they have the budget.

"IZUKU IS GOING TO SCHOOL!!" The Doriya cousins cry, as they cling to their youngest family member, the kid trying to get them off.

"Guys, I'm going to be late!" He says, trying to move over to Aizawa.

"You make sure to knock heads if anyone tries to bully someone, okay?" Kyo says, ruffling the boy's hair.

"Always be kind to others, no matter their life." Doubu continues, fixing the messed up hair.

"Study hard for your future!" Gou adds, putting text books in the boy's backpack.

"And b-be sure to make p-plenty of friends!" Mahou finishes, putting a smiley face sticker on Izuku's tie.

Izuku, released from his family, nods, and hurries over to Aizawa, the two walking over to the Heights Alliance dorms. "Are you sure I'll be okay? I mean, classes don't start for another couple of weeks, and I'm a new student, and I'm sure I'm taking someone else's spot, and-!"

"You'll be fine. Just keep your chin up, and go at your own pace. I'm sure your classmates will like you, otherwise I'll give them all a hard lesson in respect." Aizawa says, placing his hands in his pockets.

"My own pace, huh?" Izuku mutters, before walking a little ahead of Aizawa, turning around to walk backwards. "You know, I think I want to have more dreams than ever these days. I mean, I still want the bakery to succeed, and now that I'm here, I want to be as great a hero as I can be, alongside my family, but I think I have a couple more dreams now too."

"Oh yeah, like what?"

"Well, I think I want to be friends with everyone in class, that way, we can all be great heroes together! And then, I think… I think I want to be good friends with you too!" Izuku smiles, and Aizawa can't help but smile back.

"Well, looks like you've got your work cut out for you. Sounds like you'll need to put some effort in."

Izuku shakes his head, and turns back around. "Not just some, but all of my effort! I'll need to go Full Force, Full Throttle!!!" The greenette runs off, heading towards the 1-A dorm, where Aizawa will be introducing him to his classmates.

The man lets out a small chuckle, and pulls out a small bag of cookies. He pulls out a gear shaped one with white frosting, and takes a bite.

A full power cookie, and it's all okay.

Notes:

AU Notes I came up with for curious readers:

-Hisashi is in fact being forced to make the World Robots for the LoV. He is eventually forced into becoming Hakaizer by them as well.

-Inko is a delegate for Hero Commissions across the globe. None of the Doriya’s like it, not even her, but it puts food on the table.

-Zox, Flint, Cuttaner, and Ricky are cousins of all the Doriya’s, and live on I-Island. They put on a pirate themed show for the children of the island, but still do Twokaiser things as well. If the Zenkaiger’s ever need their help, they are more than willing to come over and assist.

-Zox and Izuku are both quirkless.

-The Zenkaiger tech is from Hisashi’s own research into parallel worlds. He stumbled onto the OG team during their fight against the Tojitendo, and decided since his nephew’s and niece’s quirks fit the team members, if anything were to happen, he could ask for their help. Hisashi was meant to be Zenkaiser, but Izuku took the role instead.

-Secchan can still talk, but since they’re Vigilantes, won’t do so in front of anyone who would rat them out.

-Alongside the Zenkaiju Gear, Izuku will be the one to develop the Zenryoku Zenkai Cannon. He’s much smarter than he lets on (even if sometimes he ends up falling into the same mannerisms as Kaito when he gets too excited).
