Robin’s Journal
I am still getting used to this Smash mansion. I mean, it's not like I am ungrateful that Master Hand brought us here, it's just that I am still not used to many of the other Smashers, as I think the official terminology is here.
Besides that, I am still confused by the Hand’s choice in fighters. I question why my daughter, Lucina, was chosen to fight along with myself, instead of Chrom. He still shows up from time to time to assist me, and Lucina is a capable fighter, but I would rather not have to fight my daughter and also have my husband help me fight her.
Morgan is here as well and is still as delightful as he ever was. I’m glad the Hands allowed us to bring family along, as given our current circumstances back home, it is nice to have a safe place to stay for a while. Baby Lucina is here as well, again due to the circumstances.
I might as well speak of the other fighters. Marth, the ancestor to my husband and the one my daughter disguised herself as is here, and while he seems like a strong fighter, I can’t help but say he’s kind of bland. I also dislike that his fighting style is so close to Lucina’s, as I occasionally think I’m fighting her, and that can cause me to hold back, even if, when fighting here, no one is harmed for long.
Ike is a straightforward fellow, simply fighting back home to protect his friends. He is also Priam’s ancestor, so I wonder if he has the same desire to fight as he does, or if it is something Priam gained in an attempt to become equal to Ike.
Mario is confusing, as well as his brother Luigi and the, as Maribelle would put it, obnoxious oaf known as Wario. They all claim to be human, but are significantly shorter than not just me, but also Peach and Rosalina, the former is maybe dating Mario, I think. I don’t know.
There are also Falco and Fox, who Ike keeps calling Laguz, but that is clearly wrong. Fox is clearly a Taguel, though I have no clue as to what Falco is. Maybe a bird Taguel. I have to ask Panne about this.
Then there’s Zelda, who Chrom has occasionally talked to. She’s a princess from some foreign land, and while Chrom may no longer be exalt, he is still duty bound to help Ylisse whenever possible, and forging an alliance with another country is a good way to do so. Peach might be another good person to try and forge an alliance with. Bowser’s lands consist mostly of lava, Ganondorf’s is either a desert or has none, and the other lords from our world exist at different points in time from us, so those two are our best options.
There are more, but I don’t really have any thoughts on them, so I’ll stop for now.

Apparently Master Hand still wishes to add more Smashers to the mansion, and so I met some new faces. The oddest one was myself, but male. Male me had apparently been invited to help take my place or to fight me as well. I couldn’t help but think of what that means outside of the main competitions, as if male me is as accomplished on the battlefield and strategy board games as I am, he should provide an excellent opponent to hone my skills against.
He had also brought his family along, which consisted of his wife, Tiki, and his daughter, Morgan. The fact that his daughter has the same name as my son is odd to me, but just suggests that male me and I are a bit more similar than I initially thought. The fact he married Tiki might cause a bit of an awkward situation between them and Marth, but then again Marth is married and while Tiki might have confessed to me that she had a crush on Marth, that was two thousand years ago, and she is also married.
In any case, male and I decided to play a few rounds of the tactical game both me and him had played back when we were in our respective Ylisses, Risk/Reward, and began to see where we differed in terms of strategy. Overall, he acts with more aggression, seeking to end battles quickly, while I had plated more defensively, finding key choke points and holding them. We ended up with a win lose ratio of 50/50, and after a day of that, we retired to our rooms.
Chrom didn’t return for a bit after that, and while I was glad for our cuddling and maybe more time, I got the feeling like he was acting like Morgan after he returned home late after spending time with Nah. Maybe he was just doing something nice, or maybe he spent too long training. Regardless, I do grow more concerned, but it is probably nothing.

Me and male me decided to have a bit of a competition in Risk/Reward, and after a few games, he elected to have us gamble on our next two games. The winner of the first game gets to choose the name of the other, and the second game the winner gets to decide the name of our respective Morgan. I should explain a bit.
You see, having two people with the same name causes a lot of issues, and having two sets of people with two names is even more so. As a result, this causes issues, like how one of us may get called, and we both showed up. Or just confusion amongst our fellow Smashers.
A recent pair of entrants, the Corrins, had elected to have the female one be called Kamui. I asked what about their children and what we should refer to them as, as they both had a child named Kana.
They had apparently left their spouse and child behind when coming here, saying that the child was used to it and the spouse was busy. Which made me and the male me both agree is poor parenting and spousal behavior. Regardless, we had agreed to try and find a way to give each other and our children additional names to differentiate each other.
As it turns out, we are both stubborn as can be in regards to this, and so this bet was a perfect idea to decide how this would happen. Both games were close, but in the end I won game one and he won game two. He gave my son the nickname Marc, after the tactician Lyn, one of the assistant fighters had traveled with. Which was nice, especially after the name I gave him.
From now on, male me will be referred to as Mr. Obin, or just Obin if I don’t want to write the prefix. He was a bit annoyed at this fact, but at least Tiki and Morgan liked it. Marc and I shared our laugh in private, given that he helped come up with the name. Lucina didn’t laugh, not understanding the humor in this situation, at least until she got it like an hour later and was laughing alongside us.
Chrom was apparently busy throughout the whole altercation, and so found his room with his daughter, son, and wife all laughing at the expense of the male alternate universe counterpart of his wife. When did my life get to the point where I can utter that phrase? Right, after joining this event. I still think this place is nice, even if it causes my husband to go and train for most of the day. I understand he wishes to help me, but I want to spend more time with him.
He seems to spend most of his time training with Zelda, oddly enough. Maybe he just wants to get better at working with a magic fighter and, given that Mr. Obin (still can’t write that name without smirking) and I have been comparing notes and playing Risk/Reward, she’s his best partner. I think that’s what is going on.

I spoke to Mr. Obin about his life before the event. As it turns out, the events in question were similar to mine, but he had been living with Tiki and Morgan on the Mila Tree, speaking often with Say’ri and getting visits from other Shepherds, but the events up to that are remarkably similar.
I know Chrom worries about Ylisse and how the provincial government is doing. It is mostly made up of former Shepherds, so they should be able to make sure the country doesn't burn down or get conquered by Plegia at least.
In any case, I am happy here. Many of the fighters are odd, some even actively causing issues, and it is not at all what I am used to, but still. I have new friends, a rival in games of strategy, and a safe place to raise my non-timed displaced children. Actually, in addition to the latter, I have some news.
After talking with that doctor version of Mario (still can’t get used to that), I got some surprising news. As it turns out, I’m pregnant with Marc (the baby will still be named Morgan, this is a temporary arrangement), I can’t wait to tell Chrom the good news. Marc may take after me, but he still loves Marc with all his heart, or at least the parts of it that aren’t reserved for me, Lucina, and the other Shepherds.
After this, I shall tell him, regardless of where he might be. I believe he should be in the training grounds, and what better reason to interrupt him then to tell him he will be a father again. I believe I might have to take a maternal leave for the tournament, but thankfully, (and incredibly surprisingly) Morgan Obin (hah, found a way to differentiate her) had found out and stated that she was willing to sub in for me during the event. While I imagine Mr. Obin will be concerned for his daughter’s safety and will likely have the same qualms as I do about fighting Lucina, it should be fine.
Regardless, I can’t wait to see the look on Chrom’s face.

Robin’s Journal
I… I can’t believe what I saw. It was… Chrom and… Zelda… they were… they were… kissing. I know that may not be the most horrifying thing, but Naga damn it if it didn’t hurt. He... he promised on our wedding day that he would never hold the same feelings for another woman as he does for me. While I thought it was insane, stating that he should move on if I were to die (a morbid statement, but I am a tactician of numerous campaigns), this is betrayal.
I loved him, I cared for him, I helped him lead an army through numerous battles, never lost a man, had children with him, and he goes and does this. He may not have saw me, but I have no doubts that he would not care if I were to see it. The damn face he made while in the act reminded me of the first time we kissed, on that battlefield so long ago.
And as for Zelda, I thought higher of you. Chrom is a married man, and you are the princess of a respected kingdom. Not to mention he was disgraced, no longer an exalt or in line for the position. I thought you were smart, or at least wise, given the Triforce nonsense. Doing this gives you no benefits and all the reasons to DIE.
But in the end, I know what I must do, or at least, what I want to do. And when that happens, I hope both Zelda and Chrom know, they created this monster. No, not a monster, a GOD.
