“So basically... ,” Kinro held a tiny metal donut so close to his eyes. “Our mission is to sew together a vast quantity of these little rings,”
“Apparently,” Yuzuirha nervously sweat a bit.
“Awww, how hard can it be with these damn things?” Magma took one from the basket Yuzuirha was holding.
“Well it depends on the amount,” Nikki commented. “We have like a few thousand in that basket,”
“That’s enough isn’t it?” Minami asked.
“Knowing Senkuu… Never,” Yuzuirha slightly sighed.
“Hey, we got this guys!” Taiju hyped up. “Senkuu and the rest of the gang is counting on us,”
“Kahhh, I get that but how vast a quantity are we talking about?” Max asked.
“Didn’t Senkuu say something like 200,000?” Carlos replied.
“I meannnn that’d be no big deal for someone like me,” Luna acted confident but she also feared the actual amount they would need.
“Yeah! That’s our Luna,” Max cheered.
“The 200,000 is for the donuts that need to be wrapped in wire,” Yuzuirha explained to Luna.
“Oh! Oh phew,” Luna held her hands together to her chest. It was more calming when Yuzuirh said it.
Maybe it won’t be so bad.
“As for the magnet weaving work… We’re waiting to hear from Senkuu about that,”
“Hey, we have already been through hell and back. How bad can it be?” Yo shrugged.
Nikki shot him a death glare. “You did not just ask that-,”
“What,” Yo asked.
“Have you learned nothing?” She facepalmed. “You never say it’s easy,”
“Why?”
And as if Senkuu heard their small argument the fax machine started to print out new instructions. As the fax printed more and more Luna was starting to get worried about how long it was. Once it was done printing, Yuzuriha ripped it off to read over it.
“What’s it say Yuzuriha?” Taiju asked.
Yuzuihra’s eyes stopped at a part of the paper as she stared wide eyed at it.
“Yuzu?” Luna asked
“Oh oh I’m fine,” Yuzuirha said like she had just gotten the wind knocked out of her. “Just making sure I read that number right..,”
“What’s it say?” Carlos asked.
“Thirty million of them!?” Yuzuirha nearly shouted.
“Gyahh!” Yo sounded like he choked on his own spit.
“ NO WAY!! ” Luna screamed.
“Ughhh,” The group groaned collectively.
“When I see Senkuu again I’m going to give him a piece of my mind,” Minami glared.
“Right there with ya,” Nikki sighed.
“Well, what are y’all waiting for? A green light?” Broddy asked.
“Right right,” Luna waved off Broody’s words.
“Hey maybe it won’t be so bad you know…,” Yuzuirha tried to keep positive.

Yuzuirha’s optimism was always something Luna loved about her girlfriend but Luna wasn’t even sure that could get her through the hellish work they were tasked with. Picking up small donuts by a small hook so they could sew them together into a small square and not to mention the placement of the small donuts were key! Through a microscope too! Luna sat by Yuzuirha and Nikki as they worked in a line. Once they were done they would put the finished product in a small basket by their side, the work divided equally between all of them.12,000,000 donuts for each of them.
Hours and hours passed with breaks for rest, dinner, and bathroom breaks. Luna looked at the 50 or so magnet sheets done. She wasn’t particularly slow, compared to the others, but she still wanted to do more.
“I’m going to step out Yuzu,” Luna told Yururiha.
“Got yeah,” Yuzuirha looked up from helping one of the other Americans.
Luna stepped outside to get some fresh air out in the cornfield. She forgot how cold it was out when it was night. Luna sat down and pulled her knees close to her chest.
You’re Luna! The capable gal! You can do this!
Luna kept repeating her motto to herself in her head but she still didn’t want to go back.
Ok get up now!
But her body won’t move. She was so tired already.
Luna lost track of time but she knew she was out longer than 5 minutes.
Ok now!
And she still refused to move. “Dang it,” Luna sighed.
“Luna?” The door opened and a voice called for her. “Oh geez it’s cold,”
“Oh Yuzu! Ahh sorry! I took too long huh?” Luna panicked and stood up.
“No no you’re good,” Yuzu yawned. “But maybe come back inside. You’re going to get a cold like this,”
“Oh yeah,” Luna came back inside with Yuzuriha.
“You ok though? You were out there for a while,” Yuzuriha looked concerned as she asked.
“Oh yeah yeah, I’m fine Yuzu,” Luna smiled. She did feel better with Yuzuriha around but she was still tired.
“You sure?”
“Yup!” Luna beamed. “You should go help the others. I’m going to get some warm coffee,”
“Good idea,” Yuzuriha smiled.
“I’ll be back in a bit th-,” Luna started but paused when Yuzuriha pulled her into a tight hug.
Luna was frozen in place for a second before hugging her girlfriend back. Yuzuriha let go and placed a small kiss on Luna’s nose.
“I just wanted a hug,” Yuzuriha smiled.
“Thanks, Yuzu,”
“Well, I’m going to go back. Magma is having some issues… See ya there,” Yuzuriha waved.
Honestly, Yuzuirha was also tried. She was having a harder time focusing on things but she had gotten good at hiding it. She was the crafts expert after all. She had finished her’s hours ago but she was still helping the others.
“Aye, Aye!”
“Huh?” Yuzuirha snapped out of it. “Oh sorry Magma. I spaced out again,”
“It’s fine just don’t like ya staring over my shoulder,” Magma commented.
“Of course of course,” Yuzuriha backed off.
Yuzuriha sat back down next to Luna as she worked.
“You alright Yuzu?” She asked.
“Oh yeah yeah,” Yuzuirha lied. “Just having something else on my mind, that’s all,”
“You sure? You’ve done a lot already,” Nikki pointed. “Maybe you should call it a night,”
“Nah nah, it’s alright, it’s alright!” Yuzuriha reassured.
“Hey, Yuzuriha, can you help me real quick?” Carlos asked.
“Sure sure,” Yuzuriha got up to go help Carlos
Luna was finally getting the hang of it. Kind of getting the rhythm of it, and the coffee was helping too…
“Hey Yuzu I think I-,” Luna looked over at Yuzuriha, but Yuzu’s head landed on Luna’s shoulder. “Huh? Yuzu?” Luna looked at her girlfriend. “Nikki~ Nikki!” Luna tried to get Nikki’s attention without waking Yuzuriha up.
“I think she passed out,” Nikki replied.
“Oh no poor Yuzuriha,” Minami added. “Let’s help her get her to her room,”
“Yeah, We’ll finish in the morning. I’ll deal with any shit Broody gives us,” Nikki agreed. “Now lets get her to her room,”
“Be gentle with her, please,” Luna reminded.
“I got her, I got her,” Nikki lifted Yuzuriha up off Luna’s shoulder. “I think we’re also going to call it a night,”
“Pleaseeee~ I’m so tired,” Minami groaned.
“Are you coming with Luna?” Nikki asked.
“Nah, I’ll be there in a bit-,” Luna answered.

Yuzuriha slowly woke up. She felt around trying to get an understanding of where she was.
“WAIT! THE MAGNETS!” Yuzuriha sat up once she remembered. “Ohhh dang it!” Yuzuriha got out of her bed to go to the room she was in last night. Yuzuriha looked into the room. The first thing she saw was that the basket on donuts was empty. The second thing she saw was Luna passed out on the table, using her arms as a pillow.
“Did she really…?” Yuzuriha walked over to where Luna was sitting and saw the rest of the magnets finished in her baskets. “Luna… You didn’t have to do that,” Yuzuriha smiled.
She bent down and kissed her girlfriend on her head. “I’ll let you rest. Thanks, Luna,”
