Summary
After the Temple of Mythal, Solas has been acting strange. It's a subtle change, but Inquisitor Lavellan has spent enough time with the apostate by now to notice that something is off. Whatever has him acting more subdued also has him treating Lavellan differently. But that's not necessarily a bad thing. In fact, it seems like he's trying harder to open himself up to her. While she's definitely not complaining, she's also concerned.
Right now, he is taking the Inquisitor on a trip, although he refuses to tell her where exactly they're headed. He claims that he has a surprise for her when they reach their destination, and Lavellan is eager to find out what that is. He's been spending extra coin for rooms that they can sleep in along the way, and pays for all of their meals. Tomorrow, he says, they will reach their destination. But in a way, Lavellan almost wishes that their journey there could last forever. Any moment alone with Solas is a good one, and this trip has proven to be one of the happiest moments alone she's had with the elven apostate since this all began.
