She's lying there.
He wishes he could help her. He wishes that this wasn't the case, that this was a dream, that this wasn't real.
It's not his fault, really.
Yet he blames himself for it.
They both wanted a child, a little kid to protect. To watch grow and to teach things to.
Yet some things don't have happy endings.
"hey" she says so quiet he almost couldn't hear it.
"yeah" he responds in the same tone.
"c-can you promise me something" she says.
"of course" he responds in a split second.
"please, take care of our child. I can't hold on much longer."
she says, tears forming in both of their eyes.
"I- I promise I will" he says holding back the tears.
"I love you" she says.
"I love you too" he says as the body once full of life slowly goes to rest. He watches as the life that once was get drained out.
He cried
He swore to never cry again. But as one passes, a new life is brought to this world.
Tubbo.
She wanted to name the child Tubbo if it was a boy.
He swore to protect him with his life, as he swore to never let him, his boy ever feel pain as he did when she passed.
