This wasn’t how he planned on returning. He was supposed to come back to the club as a prominent Aikido sensei, working at a dojo that everyone knew the name of. He was supposed to rub his success in Gojo’s face, show him that Megumi didn’t need to rely on him to make something out of himself. Show Gojo that he didn’t need him.
