Summary
When River Clarence takes on a new job as a full-time nanny, he expects a fun temporary gig to make some money while he figures out what he wants to do with his life. Recently divorced Joel Harris is struggling as a single father, and his kids are a handful, so River slides easily into the family’s day-to-day lives.
What begins as a simple job, however, quickly gets out of hand when River realizes his relationship with Joel has deepened way beyond platonic. If River decides to pursue his new, unprecedented, and intense feelings, he’ll risk losing his current long-term relationship and the job that’s keeping him afloat.
He’s pretty convinced the white picket fence fantasy was never really in the cards for him. But being with Joel and his family is making him rethink all the assumptions he’s held about himself.
