Summary
Headmaster Snape had had his eyes on the ultimate goal and no time to feel sorry for himself for a long time, this Hellish year being no exception. That was until the hatred in Minerva McGonagall's eyes reminded him of all of his sins... nearly breaking him in the process. He just didn't think the last straw would have been about a stupid Christmas Dinner.
This is my participation for the 1st week of SnolidaysI played with the suggested prompts and inserted all of them in the fic to spice the challenge up a little. They're bolded in the text.
This was inspired by one of my (very) old french text that's still up on ff.net Le voleur de Noël - if you're curious (and read french!!)

you know the similarity to beloved Mish, 1.5yrs before may 2024, she also had such a thought that it is wrong to have such a thought and I cannot do this to my family. But her eyes and mental health got progressively worse until she genuinely was too pained in her heart to continue without any hope she could bounce back as she was so tired mentally which culminated over the years since her eye problems first started in J1 2017 and she genuinely believed we will be better off without her and that she is a burden. So thankful that Guru Maharaj, Srila Prabhupada and the Lord in BG have assured that a person already on the path of KC will attain happiness and peace of mind and attain success in reaching the goal in life – love for Godhead and devotional service unto the Lord – in their very next life
If you are reading snape fanfics because of this similarity with your life you can read about personalities with low self esteem, self-hurt, with many past regrets in Srimad Bhagavatam. That will actually change your heart.
Everything equivalent is found in Srimad Bhagavatam. Instead of reading snape getting bullied by his father and classmates, you can relish Dhruv Maharaj and Prahlad Maharaj getting bullied by his father and demon classmates. Instead of Snape’s and Harry’s terrible home life, you can relish the astounding pastimes and ideal parent child relationship of Krishna and Ma Yashoda through Krishna book. Krishna book is full of Lilas. Full of magic.
