When a fear-plagued River Song sets off to find the Doctor, she ends up with a version she barely knows. The Tenth Doctor is almost a complete mystery to her. Even now, after a handful of run ins with him, she still struggles to connect with him. But this time is different. The Tenth Doctor she finds is very different to the one she has met before. He is a man for whom hope has become a foreign concept, and is seemingly doing everything he can to hide away from the universe. Yet, from the meeting of her fear and his grief stricken guilt, maybe they can both find some peace, if only for a while...
