“Boss if you want, I can come back later?” Magna was unsure why Tomura had asked her to come speak away from the others but now he was pacing, scratching and all round looking uncomfy.
“No, I need to ask you a thing...” was the oddly quiet answer
“Ok... what is it?” she was a little worried having never seen Shigaraki like this before,
“Right so um how did you like know, like who you are because I think I maybe” Tomura was becoming more anxieties, taking a shacky breath before continuing
“I’m like... I’m not a girl but like I’m not really a guy or not fully....”
Magna smiled softy it was nice to see Shigaraki being real and thinking on these things, thought she had to stifle a sigh seems no one in the l.o.v has ever thought about who they are or who they like.
“Sweetie do you know what nonbinary is?” the blank look she reserved answered pretty clearly
“Society tells us that gender is binary male or female I’m a binary trans woman I was assigned male at birth but I’m a woman” Tomura nodded knowing this part
“But gender is not a binary some people are in-between or a mix or outside the binary altogether” she was not an expert on all this, but she is their big sis, and she will do her damn best.
“So, this is a thing? I know there are more import things, I just want to understand why I feel like this” seeing Tomura look so unsure and sad really struck her as one of the first times they seem to fully let There guard down, the pair ended up talked for hours, Tomura was going to try out new pronouns still being ok with the old ones but now trying They/Them as well, also seemed really keen on the thought of growing their hair out.
Big sis was for sure living up to her title lately, Toga just came out to her the other day, then Dabi’s whole “I’m straight?...right??” that was a long night, but Magna has never been happier, they are her family, and she will do all she can for them all, she is their big sister.
