Just A Goof

Summary:

Harry had seen a hot new model on the front cover of a magazine. Ever since, he had bought every magazine with even a single picture of them.
When they announced that they'd go on a date with their 10,000th caller, Harry decided to try and recieve the prize
You know... as a goof.

Notes:

While I lay on my bed I was like
"Hey...... maybe this story..."

I have a lot of ideas everytime I go to bed.

Also, WARNING
Harry is VERY oblivious. To the point where you wanna punch him through the screen.

FUN FACT, the horror movie they watched is real :) its called Would You Rather. You can watch it on Netflix!

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

"Congratulations! You are Danni's 10,000th caller!"

Holy...Shit.

"You have received the prize on going on a date with the famous supermodel. What luck!"

Harry's mouth opened and closed. No words could express the surprise he felt. So he sat there. Silent.

A few days ago, Harry had walked past a magazine with a very familiar face on it.

He picked up the magazine and gazed at the woman on the front page. Her face, scarily familiar. She was a very beautiful woman. Platinum blonde hair and unnaturally glowing silver eyes. Arched eyebrows and a pointed chin. Plump lips covered in pink gloss and long eyelashes. Flat chest with well rounded hips

Harry didn't want to say that he had immediately fell head over heels for the familiar looking woman, but he did buy every magazine he could find that included even a single photo of her. He'd rip her picture out and keep it in a drawer for later. Or maybe sometimes stick it onto a wall so he could gaze admirably at it.

One of the magazines, he had found a slip of paper on it. It read:

Without thinking, Harry picked up his phone and mindlessly dialed the number written across the paper.

Now he had nothing to say.

"If you would like to redeem your prize, press 1. If you–"

Harry immediately pressed.

The pre recorded message paused for a second before resuming.

"You have chosen... 1. Thank You! You will be permitted with a 30 minute call with Danni. If you would like to text instead, press 1. If you'd rather call, press 2. If you'd rather have the details of the date with no pre planning, press the hash key."

Harry took more time choosing an answer. He blindly clicked.

"You have chosen... 2. Thank You! Please hold while we put your idol on the line. Thank you for your service!"

The voice stopped. It was immediately replaced with obnoxious music. Music you'd hear on an elevator.

Harry let out a long exhale. What was he even doing?

"Hello! Thank you for calling. I'm Danni. I look forward to our date soon. Due to safety reasons, our date will be heavily protected with security but that won't stop us from having a great time. Enough about me. Tell me about you!"

Harry had tried to say something but it seemed that his throat was glued shut.

Danni's voice slightly deeper than Harry had assumed. It didn't bother Harry at all. Instead, he was even more nervous.

"Hello? Are you there?" Danni called out.

"H-hello. Sorry, I'm just so...nervous." Harry said rather quietly.

"Don't worry about it. You'd have no way of knowing but I'm rather nervous too. Please! Tell me about yourself!"

"Well... my name is Harry...Harry Dursley"

Danni coughed quietly.

"I know a man named Harry!"

"Really?"

"We went to school together. Brave man, he was. How old are you?"

"I'm 21." Harry answered, he was relieved to know that Danni was his age.

"I'm relieved that you're not 50. That would of been a rather huge problem." The voice giggled. Harry's chest fluttered. "Do you work?"

Yes. Harry thought. As an Auror. "I'm a detective."

"That's cool."

Harry sniffed. "I hope I'm not boring you with my dry answers."

"Not at all." Danni replied quickly. "If anything, it's my awful questions. I've never done anything like this before."

"Then why did you host the giveaway?"

Danni stayed quiet for a few seconds.

She whispered. "I can't disclose information like that. But I'm allowed to say that my manager wanted to do something brand new. Bring more attention to the magazine brand."

"I see..."

"There are alot of risks to this. I could of ended up with a murderer, or a pervert. Or someone who isn't even my preference. I'd be forced to endure a full 3 hour date."

"I understand the stress."

"Oh. I sure hope you aren't any of those. But I trust you."

"I'm glad."

"I'll arrange for a car ride to pick you up. From then, the time for our date begins. Are you free this Saturday?"

"I am."

"I'll see you then, Harry."

The call only lasted for around 15 minutes before Harry hung up. But the only thing he could think about was the date.

A date. 3 days from now...

"Stop worrying mate, you look fine."

Saturday had arrived a lot slower than Harry had expected, but when it did arrive, the man was freaking out. He bought a nice suit and tried (key word: tried) to gel his hair down. In a rush, he had floo-called Ron to approve his efforts. No matter how many times the redheaded man had told the other that they looked fine, Harry's mood wouldn't falter. Eventually, Ron was forced to step through the floo and calm Harry down in person.

"I can't stop worrying, this is serious!" Harry had screamed.

"I don't get it." Ron confessed. "You've been on like,10 dates and you've never reacted like this."

"Don't exaggerate Ron, it wasn't 10 dates."

"It was around. What's so special about this lady? Whatever she has, you have more."

"Ron, you aren't helping."

"Is she rich? who cares, you're richer. is she picky? You could get anyone you wanted. Is she famous? I don't think they've ever saved the world."

"I just really like this girl..."

Ron sighed. "I can tolerate that."

Harry adjusted his tie for the 11th time. he groaned, attempting to soothe down his hair once more.

"So..." Ron let out a low whistle. Where is this lady?"

At that moment, there was a car beep.

Ron reacted first, he pulled open the windows to reveal the source of the noise.

"Woah...Is that a Limousine?"

Harry opened the door to his house. A black Limo was parked in front of his house.

The tinted window was rolled down. It revealed a man with dark glasses.

"Are you Harry Dursley?" the man asked.

Harry nodded.

The man turned his eyes to the road. "We're ready when you are."

"Go ahead mate." Ron chuckled.

The car stopped. Parked infront of a restaurant Harry didn't recognise. It was only a 10 minute drive from Grimmauld, why hadn't Harry recognised it? It was because the place looked expensive. Harry didn't like to live like a rich person. He preferred to use little of the money he had. Just enough money to survive and buy consumer goods he had wanted.

He was quickly ushered out of the car by the driver. He stood awkwardly infront of the car. The driver hadn't said anything to him.

"...What are we waiting for?"

The driver cast a long look at him before answering.

"We're waiting for Danni."

Seconds after the driver replied, a woman emerged from the restaurant, a smile on her face.

Harry looked at her. His eyes wide in admiration.

She was even more beautiful than he could imagine.

Her hair shimmered brightly in the moonlight, reflecting. Her eyes, more brighter in person. Her lips. Her waist, her hips, her face. Every detail Harry admired of her stood out ever so proudly. She was gorgeous.

"Hello! You must be..." she paused mid sentence. She looked Harry. Up and down.

Harry gave her an awkward smile, worried that she wouldn't like what she was seeing.

"Ah. You must be Harry. You look very handsome." She complimented.

Harry thanked her, his cheeks flushing.

Danni walked towards the car Harry stood infront of. "Did my driver give you a hard time?" She smiled warmly, indicating the joking manner she was referring to in.

Harry shook his head and chuckled.

"You are excused, Blaise. I will call when I need you."

The driver nodded and entered his car. Driving off once he was ready.

Blaise? Harry thought. The name scratched a certain part of his brain. As if he was trying to remember something.

"Here, enter with me!"

Danni and Harry walked side by side. Harry had opened the door open for her. It seemed the right thing to do.

Their seat was on the roof. The moonlight hitting the table and the breeze cooling them down.

The two were handed menu's.

It was quiet for a while. Harry wasn't sure if he needed to say anything. He started to feel nervous. Was Danni quiet because she didn't want to be around him? Had he offended her in some way? If he had, then in what way? Damn it! Harry always messed up everything! He can't even have a simple date before messing up! He was an awful person—

"I think I'll get the Filet Mignon. It looks rather nice here. What about you, Harry? What are you getting?"

Harry looked up suddenly, Danni had asked him a question, her lips curled upwards.

"Uhm..." Harry replied smartly.

Danni chuckled. "Would you like me to order for you?"

Harry nodded, sighing when the knot in his throat came undone.

When the waiter entered, Danni ordered a Filet Mignon and a plate of Mediterranean Shrimp Kabobs for Harry. She had told him that it was basically shrimp. Harry had told her that he liked Shrimp. And he did.

"So..." she started. "A detective huh?"

"What?"

"You told me you worked as a detective?"

Oh right! "Oh, yeah. I do... detective things."

"Can you tell me about a recent case?" Danni leaned forward, her chin resting on her intertwined fingers.

"Well... I don't really like talking about work on a date. I'm... sorry."

Danni pulled back. "I understand."

It was quiet yet again.

"So..." Harry started. "What made you want to pursue your career?"

Danni smiled, delighted at the question. "I was surprised as well. I use to wander around the streets and see what life would offer me. I saw a newspaper ad. It offered anyone some money for a few model pictures. At the time, I was broke. So seeing the ad excited me. After my first time visiting, I'm asked to come in everyday. Next thing I know, I have a house, a successful career and amazing fans. And it even got me this date."

Harry smiled, blushing slightly at the last comment. "I'm thrilled that life was on your side."

"What about you, Mr Detective?" She asked in a teasing tone. It made Harry grin.

The two spoke smoothly that night. Harry hadn't felt nervous anymore. It hadn't felt like having a date with a famous celebrity, it felt more like getting together with old friend.

The food came a little while after. It also arrived with menus for dessert.

"Woah. The shrimp kabobs are actually really good." Harry had commented.

"I'm glad you like it. It's one of my favourite meals to eat here!"

"So... how is your...dating life?"

"P-pardon?"

"W-well, I just mean, you're an incredibly beautiful lady! And it shocks me to know that your still single and I... I guess I'm just a little curious is all... actually, nevermind, forget about it."

"Its a reasonable question, I'm just a little startled is all. No one really asks about me unless its about work."

Danni chuckled lightly. Harry smiled.

"I've been sort of... Well, off the market for a while?"

"So there was someone before?"

"An old boyfriend I had back in school when I was... uhm, I believe I was 14. And he was 18."

"Woah." Harry had said rather intellectually.

"I know right? I was young and rather giddy on the idea of an older boyfriend. Especially one from another school. His name was Viktor.

Huh. What a coincidence. Harry also knew a Viktor.

"Was he a good boyfriend at least?"

"Haha. No. Not really. In school, they hosted a big dance. He didn't ask me to go with him. He asked another girl and danced with her while I was sitting right behind him."

"I'm sorry to hear that."

"The only thing he wanted was attention and sex."

"You were 14. You didn't actually do anything with him. Did you?"

Danni sighed a heavy sigh.

"I lost my virginity to him on the night of the dance."

Woah.

"He had asked for me to walk with him to his room. He said he wanted to apologise to me then next thing I know, I wake up in someone else's bed in the morning."

"Oh... I'm sorry, I-"

"–didn't know, I know. I don't really like talking about it."

"Is that why you...stopped dating?"

"No, I had another relationship when I was 16. His name was Aiden."

"Was Aiden nice?"

"Aiden was everything I dreamed of. He was amazing, but our relationship was risky."

Why? Harry had thought, not wanting to ask aloud, worried that he was coming off as nosey.

Danni didn't seem annoyed at him. She had answered the unasked question.

"My father... didn't take... kindly to his kind."

"'His Kind'?"

"Aiden was...different to my family. Let's just say that he didn't hold the traditional blood my family cared so deeply for."

"What happened to Aiden?"

"My father killed him."

"...I'm sorry?"

"Look Harry, I know I'm making you uncomfortable. And this is our first date... I've already said too much." Danni frowned deeply.

"Its my fault, I shouldn't of asked such a sensitive question."

"How could you of possibly have known that my past relationships ended in disasters?"

Harry frowned at that.

"Listen" he had brought his hands on the table, grabbing Danni's hands and wrapping his fingers around hers. "I don't blame you for any of this. I'm really nervous and I now know that I've asked the wrong thing."

Danni looked thoughtful. "What about you?"

"Pardon?"

"Have you had any relationships in the past?"

"I did."

Danni didn't push, but Harry was insistent on expanding.

"My first relationship was with a girl named Cho."

"Cho?"

"Cho was a smart girl. We never really dated, but I shared my first kiss with her. I kissed her when she cried for her ex boyfriend's passing in the hopes that I would comfort her."

"That's awfully romantic, Harry"

"Not as romantic as it sounds." Harry had grimaced, remembering the wet and salty kiss he had shared with Cho while tears and sweat ran down her nose.

"What about your next relationship?"

Harry sighed, remembering his ex.

"Her name was Ginny. She was my best mate's sister."

"Ginny... what an exotic name." Danni smirked.

"Your name is just as unique, Danni." Harry smiled, the line leaving his lips smoothly.

Danni's cheeks and nose coloured a shade of rosy pink. It looked adorable in Harry's eyes.

"Why did you and W-...Ginny, break up?"

"I felt bad. She was excited in the relationship, she put effort and time to try and build a future for us... but I wasn't feeling the same way she felt."

"It's not your fault, Harry."

"I can't help but feel like it is. When I broke up with her, she was destroyed. Ron wouldn't talk to me for a month afterwards."

"Ron, who I'm assuming is her brother, may of reacted harshly to you. But it's better to break a one sided relationship then to make both sides suffer. Do you still see Ginny?"

"When I visit the house, I see the way she looks at me. She still wants me. But not in the way I want her."

"How do you want her?"

"I... I want her to be a sister to me."

Danni smiled at Harry.

"You're a sweet person, Harry."

Harry returned the soft smile. The half eaten plates now sat cold on the table. Harry gazed deep into Danni's eyes. Memorising the rare silver. Her eyes glowed a soft white in the moonlight.

At the same time, the waiter had approached their table, taking their cold plates. "May I interest you two in desserts?"

"None for me, thank you. I'm full." Danni had told the waiter, not taking her eyes off Harry.

"Same for me." Harry had also said when he caught the eyes of the waiter in his peripheral vision.

"Then here is your check."

The waiter placed a piece of paper on the table.

The two finally broke eye contact.

"I can call Blaise to take you home." Danni started, her hand reaching for the check.

"Wait... I can pay."

"You pay? But... it's your special night, you don't need to pay."

"It's okay. I really enjoyed spending time with you. And I want to pay for us."

Harry reached into his pocket and took out four £20 notes.

"Harry, this means so much to me."

"It's my pleasure."

The two exited the restaurant together. The stood infront of the road.

"I've called Blaise. He'll be here any second."

"I...I've had a nice time with you tonight."

"Me too Harry..."

Danni took out a crumpled piece of paper from her purse.

"Here's my number... I'd love to see you again..."

"Really... you mean it?"

A car honked loudly. Blaise had parked closeby and was waiting for Harry to enter the car.

"Call me when your free. Maybe we can go out for ice cream. And this time, I'll pay."

Harry had no time to protest. A pair of soft lips caressed his cheek ever so lightly. His face heated up and his cheek tingled.

"Hurry! Blaise doesn't like to be kept waiting."

Harry smiled a toothy grin and ran into the car waiting for him.

"How was your date?" the driver spoke suddenly. Harry was snapped out of his daydream paying attention. He felt bad for not knowing what the driver said.

"Sorry, I didn't get that..."

The driver shook his head. "I saw the kiss Danni gave you."

Harry blushed at the memory. The reason for his daydream earlier.

"She's really fond of you. I'm glad to see her finally putting herself out there. It's been a while since she's began dating again."

Harry hummed in acknowledgement. He looked at the car mirror, glancing at the driver. He swore he could recognise the man...

"Do I... do I know you?"

The driver glanced back at Harry. His face expressionless.

"Probably."

It was 2 weeks since Harry's date with Danni. He couldn't stop thinking back to the day.

Harry had Danni's number sitting on his bedside table.

Harry had so desperately wanted to call Danni and ask her out for a second date, but he was too worried about coming off as creepy or clingy.

Ron sat next to him. The redhead was once again over to fill Harry with self confidence. Ron was the only friend that seemed to know how to do so which is why he was over at Harry's house so frequently.

"Harry mate, if the chick gives you her number and kisses you on the cheek, she's obviously waiting for you to call her. She's interested."

"I don't know Ron, what if she's expected to kiss me? Her manager seems like a really bossy person. I don't want to make her feel awkward."

"Okay mate, I understand. But what if you're overreacting? That's a negative trait to have."

Harry sighed deeply.

"Tell you what, call her right now and try to make it so she asks you on a date? Then you can find out if she's interested or not?"

"Ron, you are a genius!"

Harry swiped the number on his table quickly dialing the number.

"I'm really good with woman." Ron replied, leaning back smugly.

Harry dialed the number.

It rang.

"Put it on speaker." Ron whispered. "If she picks up before the third ring, she's interested."

Riiiiiiiiing

Riiiiiiiiing

Riiiiii—

"Hello?" A voice called out.

"Hi Danni, its me Harry."

"Oh Harry!" Danni gasped, "it's been a while, I was worried you wouldn't call!"

Harry looked up at Ron. 'That's a good sign' Ron mouthed.

"I'm sorry about that, I've just been very busy."

"With your detective stuff?"

"Huh? O-oh right! Yes. Work is especially busy this time around."

"Still, I'm glad you had the time to call me."

Harry felt his cheeks heat up.

"So...what have you been up to?"

"Not much actually. I have been a little under the weather. Nothing too serious. I think I caught a cold or something?"

"Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. You don't sound too sick?"

"I've healed last week. I don't feel bad anymore. I think I'd like to go out this week." Danni confessed. She sounded shy.

"Do you? Where do you wanna go?"

"I was thinking... maybe to the cinema? There's a new horror out and I'd like to see it."

"I'm sure you can do that. I hope you enjoy it."

It was quiet on the other end. A few seconds had gone by with no reply. Harry looked up at Ron who wore an exasperated expression.

'You're losing her!' He mouthed frantically, 'ask her to the movies!'

'But you said steer the conversation so she asks me out!' Harry mouthed back, just as panicked.

'SHE HINTED A DATE, ASK HER OUT.'

"A-actually Danni... I was planning on going to the movies tomorrow. Will you come with me?"

"Harry, I would love to come with you!" She finally spoke. Her tone happy.

"Great! Meet at 6?"

"I'll see you there!"

The line cut.

"So..." Ron spoke after a long drawn out silence, "Am I a good Wingman or what?"

And Ron was right.

He was an amazing Wingman.

"Are you sure she'll like this?" Harry looked at his reflection in the mirror.

"Of course!" Ron chuckled lightly. "It matches your personality well. And it's a casual date, you don't want to go to the movies with a 2 piece suit."

Harry wore some navy worn out jeans and a white buttoned shirt, the top button undone. He wore leather black dress shoes. His hair was styled purposely messy but charmed to be softer than usual. It hung over his forehead, covering the scar that sat atop it. He wore his usual round glasses that sat on top of his nose, but they were gold rimmed. He also wore a gold watch. His shirt folded up above his elbows.

"You look stunning! She won't be able to keep her eyes off you." Ron clicked his tongue. Harry snickered softly.

Harry's phone vibrated on his bed. Ron picked it up and handed it over. Danni was calling him.

Instinctively, Harry put it on speaker before picking up.

"Hello?"

"Hi Harry, I just wanted to ask if you were ready."

"I've just finished changing. I'll start heading to the cinema in a minute."

"Are you sure you don't want me to send Blaise over? It'll only take a second since he's in the neighborhood."

"It's okay Danni, the movies are only 10 minutes walking distance. I'll be there in no time."

"If you say so. I can't wait to watch the movie with you."

"Me neither. It'll be fun."

"I'll see you later Harry."

"Bye Danni."

Harry hung up. He looked up to see a smirking Ron.

"What?" He asked curiously.

"Mate," he laughed, "She is so into you."

"Harry! Over here!"

Harry practically ran over to Danni who waved him over. He observed her appearance.

She wore a thick, black jumper that was tucked into her black tennis skirt that had a white stripe around the perimeter of it. She wore some matching, thigh high socks and black trainers.

Her hair was put into a high pony. It was held up with a white ribbon.

Her lips were glossy and pink dusted over her nose and cheeks.

She looked adorable.

"Harry." Her cheeks seemed to darken even with the blush already powdered on her face. "You look really handsome."

"You too." Harry began to stammer, "Wait, not handsome, you don't look handsome. W-wait, I mean, you do! But I mean... Beautiful! You look like a beautiful woman! But handsome too! Gorgeous even!"

Danni began to chuckle. "Thank you Harry."

"I'm sorry if it seems like I've overdressed..."

"Not at all! I feel like I've underdressed. I feel my legs starting to freeze. So let's hurry up and sit in the theatre."

"What about snacks?"

"I've got it covered." Danni pulled out a plastic bag she had hidden behind her back. Inside were bags of popcorn, crisps, chocolates, sweets and fizzy drinks. She was prepared.

The two entered the theatre and sat in the middle of the room. The cinema wasn't busy at all. There weren't many people in the room.

The movie was a horror. It starred a woman with a sick brother. Before entering the theatre, Harry caught a glimpse of the title. It was called 'Would You Rather.'

Halfway into the movie, Harry felt Danni tense next to him. Her fingers tightly gripped the chair. On instinct, Harry moved to grab her hand and squeeze it. She looked over at him, smiling.

The movie had freaked Harry out also. He seeked the comfort of the smaller hand in his own.

At the end, Harry felt a little heavier.

They left the theatre, not bothering to watch the after credits.

"Well..." Danni began, "that was..."

"Scary? Disturbing? Shocking?"

"Yes, yes and yes. I'll keep better care of my eyes also." Danni turned to Harry. "But I enjoyed watching it with you."

"Me too Danni. I had a nice time."

The two looked into each other's eyes. The world suddenly felt as if it were only them two.

Harry placed his hands on Danni's waist.

Danni wrapped her arms around Harry's neck.

It was a position the two loved immensely.

"Danni?"

"Yes?"

"Can I..."

"Yes Harry."

Placing his lips onto Danni's own had felt even better than he could ever imagine. It was an activity he had done many times before but none of them had gave him the sensation he had felt at that very moment.

Harry was kissing Danni Black.

HE WAS KISSING THE WORLDWIDE MODEL, DANNI BLACK.

But it didn't feel like he was kissing Danni Black. It felt like kissing Just Danni

Danni was the first to pull away. she had a frown on her face.

"What...what's wrong? did you not like it?" Harry asked concerned, Did he taste bad? Was he a horrible kisser?

"No... its not that, i loved the kiss! I'm just disappointed... in myself that is...I haven't been completely honest with you...or with anyone."

"Danni, what are you talking about?"

Danni seemed to be in deep thought for a moment. Harry knew better than to interrupt her. She sighed.

"Please don't say anything until I've finished talking, okay?"

Harry nodded. Danni took a deep breath in.

"Harry. When I left Hogwarts, I was...going through it."

"You're a Witch?!" Harry blurted out without thought.

He quickly apologised when Danni sent a glare his way.

"After the battle, its been difficult on my family. The trials, the funerals... it was all so overwhelming.",

Harry wasn't surprised to find out that Danni had struggled through her healing. It had messed everyone up. Hell, Harry still wasn't fully over the nightmares and trauma of the battle.

"My father was sent to Azkaban for his role in the war. My mother, the poor thing, took her own life shortly after my father's sentence. We were both sure he would die by the hands of his inmates."

Harry frowned. He was overwhelmed with pitying emotions.

"It was my responsibility to clear out her wardrobe. I couldn't bare to pass by her unused clothes. I couldn't even afford a proper funeral! The ministry locked our finances. We were broke.

When I cleared out my mother's wardrobe, I looked at the skirts and dresses she owned when she was younger. She had kept the clothes in hopes I would have a daughter to wear them when they finished Hogwarts.

I looked at the dresses... I couldn't help it. I put them on. I tried them all. I loved it all. It was so wrong, but deep inside, it felt so right."

"What..." Harry spoke quietly. "What are you trying to say?"

"Harry..." Danni smiled, "I'm Transgender."

Harry was speechless. He didn't know what to say or how to say it.

"After a while, the ministry forced me out of my Manor. I couldn't afford the land it was built on so they siezed it. So I was on my own, the only other place I could stay at was in Muggle London.

For 2 weeks, I lived in the clothes of my mother. I was homeless. I often walked with no destination. At night, I slept in allyways. I didn't have my wand, and once my mother died, the magic through her wand stopped responding to me.

But after 2 weeks, a man came up to me and gave me the newspaper. It was ripped on an article. It was a beginners modeling job. I... decided to try it out.

I tried it and they gave me £40 a month. It wasn't much, but I managed. Eventually, a man came up to me. He described my 'Ethereal beauty' to be almost inhuman. He promised me a job that would pay handsomely.

He was amazing to me. He bought me a phone, a flat... I ran into Blaise. Can you believe that i bumped into my best friend in Muggle London?! I'm still shocked! I immediately hired him as my driver! I wanted to help him. An amazing guy he is! He doesn't show his emotions alot. He's really quiet when he's driving anyone who isn't me, I hear..."

"Danni... I think..." Harry spoke up.

"–rambling... sorry..."

"I'm... I'm really glad you told me this. And it's okay! I don't care that you're trans."

"You don't. I'm still saving up for an operation?"

"Of course not. I'll be with you through this journey."

"Oh Harry..." Harry moved in to kiss Danni but she stopped him, "not yet... there's still something... bigger I need to tell you."

"Yes?"

Danni... she trembled slightly. Whatever she was planning to say, it made her nervous.

"Harry. My name is Danni Black. My dead name is Draco Lucius Malfoy."

"WHAT?"

"I've told you already Ron, Danni is a trans woman. She's Draco Malfoy."

"So you mean to tell me, this hot chick–" Ron motioned to a picture of Danni on Harry's wall "–is the Draco Malfoy?!"

"Careful Ronniekins, your wife might hear you slobbering about another chick." Harry teased.

"Mate, I don't think you realise how serious the situation is. We just found out that Draco Malfoy is a girl now. And not to mention, AN ORPHAN."

"Ron, he may of been Malfoy, but she's Danni now... and Danni is different... I think... I think I may love her."

Ron furrowed his eyebrows. "You love Danni?"

"Yes Ron. I do."

"Hm... okay... then tell me, what did you do when you found out that Danni was Draco?"

Harry frowned deeply.

"I..."

"You...?"

"I...ran–"

"YOU RAN!" Ron clapped his hands imitating an excited toddler. "And tell me, what did Danni beg you to do?"

"Ron, i don't think this is necessary..."

"Step one is realising you're in the wrong." Ron lifted a finger.

"She..."

"She begged you to...?" Ron urged.

"stay..." Harry mumbled quietly.

"I'm sorry, I didn't catch that?"

"SHE BEGGED ME TO STAY, DAMM IT RON."

Harry had so desperately wanted to slap the smug expression off Ron's face.

"Call her, Harry. Apologise."

Harry was reluctant, but he picked up his phone and dialed her number.

It rang.

Riiiiiiiiiing

Riiiii—

'Hello! You have reached Danni Black. I'm sorry I couldn't catch your call. I may be busy with a photoshoot. Please leave a message after the beep.'

BEEE—

Harry hung up.

Ron sighed and shook his head.

"What?" Harry asked.

"It sent you straight to voicemail barely after 2 rings. She hung up on you."

Shit Harry... you really messed up big time...

"What do I do, Ron. I don't know how else to contact her."

"Call her on my phone, she won't know it's you."

Harry snatched Ron's phone from his hand and dialed Danni's number all in a short period of time.

The phone rang

Riiiiiiiing

Riiiiiiing

Riiiiii–

"Hello, Danni Black speaking, who is this?"

"Danni? Hey it's Harry, I... I need to talk to you."

Harry heard a faint, prolonged sigh from the other end of the phone. "What do you want Harry, I don't have time for games."

"Danni, listen. I'm sorry I ran away from you today, i was just so overwhelmed! I... I don't want you to think that I hate you."

"Its okay, i understand that you don't want to be in a relationship. I've established it."

"Danni, it isn't that at all."

"Please don't call me, I need the line open for fan calls."

Sensing that Danni was about to hang up, Harry blurted out, "Danni, I love you!"

It was silent from both sides of the phone. The outburst was strong and left them both in shock.

"Excuse me...?"

"Danni... I love you. I know it seems like a desperate attempt to keep you on the line, but it isn't. So I beg... please let me explain myself to you."

It was quiet once again.

Until

"I...i'll call Blaise to drop me off at your house... we'll talk in person."

"Thank you!"

Danni hung up.

Once Danni was stood infront of him, he was at a loss for words. He was afraid of ruining the only chance he could make things right.

"So?" Danni crossed her arms over her chest. "Explain yourself."

"Danni." Harry took a deep breath, "I know it seems that I don't like you because you are-... were Draco Malfoy. But it took me a while on my own to realise that... you aren't Draco anymore. You're Danni Black. And Danni, I am sorry it took me a while to realise that. I acted like an arse and now that I see you now, I want to slap myself in the face for acting foolishly."

"How about I do it for you?"

Harry felt a sharp pain graze his cheek before it burned almost mercilessly. Harry had no time to react before a pair of soft lips smashed onto his.

Harry wrapped his arms around Danni's waist and pulled the girl closer to his body. Danni placed her hands on Harry's chest.

"I love you." Harry whispered against her mouth.

"I love you too."

"You look relaxed." Ron smirked at his friend."

Harry had floo called Ron the morning after his night with Danni. Ron had immediately sensed his friend to be a lot less tense than the day before.

"I am relaxed."

"Do i even wanna know?"

Harry smiled a toothy grin. He had always loved Ron's sarcastic humor.

"I'll just assume you and Danni sorted your situation out."

Harry looked back to his bed. He smiled softly at the small body fast asleep under his bedsheets.

Indeed they did.
