“So what do you want to watch tonight, Dorogoy?” Victor announced as he walked into the living room with a bowl of buttered popcorn and two bottled waters.
“I was thinking Dizunī no mahōnikakerarete. I've always loved this movie. That actor Patrick Dempsey is just so good looking.” Yuuri blushed as he cuddled against Makkachin on the small couch.
“Should I be worried?” Victor joked as he set the bowl and bottles on the floor and cuddled up to his two favorite people in the world.
“Oh, Victor don’t be so dramatic, I would rather be married to you then Patrick Dempsey.” Yurri declares.
Victor’s heart melted. The couple snuggled together as they watched the Disney film.
“Ooooh my favorite song is about to come on Watashi no ai.” Yuuri screamed in excitement.
Victor just admired his lover in fascination. When Victor finally turned his attention to the song on the tv screen it gave Victor a splendid idea.
Well does he leave a little note to tell you You are on his mind?
The Next Morning, Victor for once woke up early before Yuuri, so he decided to make him his favorite breakfast and to start phase one of his plan. Before making Yuuri’s breakfast Victor grabbed a piece of notebook paper and a black marker and plopped down at the kitchen table trying to write how he feels about Yurri.
Yuuri because of you I found parts of myself I didn’t know existed anymore, and when we first met I knew that whatever we were gonna have I didn’t wanna have with anyone else. You are forever and always going to be mine.
Itoshi teru Yuuri.
After finishing the note Victor then began making his husband’s favorite breakfast. After making and plating the breakfast, Victor then put the food and note on a tray and quietly tiptoed into the bedroom and set the tray on Yuuri’s night table and disappeared to clean the kitchen and take Makka on a walk.
Does he send you Yellow Flowers when the skies are Grey
Yuuri was having a rough week at the skating rink, and was unintentionally snapping at his friends and his students for no reason. When someone heard it was because Victor was in Russia to help judge a local skating competition as a celebrity judge, the friends understood completely.
“So have you heard from Victor at all?” Yuuko gently prodded towards Yuuri as they watched Lutz, Axel and Loop skate on the ice up on the bleachers.
Yuuri pouted,
“Not really he’s been too busy with the competition, we try to call as much as we can but since we are both busy and the timezones it’s been difficult.”
Yukko gently patted Yuuri’s thigh in sympathy.
“Am I pathetic for missing my husband so much?” Yuuri questions Yukko.
Yukko gave her friend a soft smile,
“There’s nothing wrong with you missing him Yuuri. It’s natural to miss your significant other when they are away.” Yukko confesses.
Yurri just continued pouting.
“Hey Mr.Pouty Face you have a delivery here you need to sign for!” Takeshi yelled from the bottom of the bleachers.
Yuuri ignored the rude name and tried to think of what sort of delivery would be coming here to Yukko’s skating rink.
“What kind of delivery?” Yurri interrogates as he leaves his seat next to Yukko.
Without hesitation,
“Well come down from there and find out.” Takeshi retorts with a smirk.
Yuuri rolled his eyes and turns towards Yukko,
“I hate your husband.”
Yukko rolled her eyes and stifled her laugh from behind her hand.
Yuuri’s eyes widen in disbelief when he sees dozens of Yellow flowers in the lobby.
“All of these flowers are for me.” Yuuri spoke with such disbelief.
The flower delivery man just nodded his head and thrusted a clipboard and ink pen towards Yuuri. After signing, the man then gave Yuuri a small note card and walked out of the skating rink.
Yuuri’s heart melted when re-reading the note.
It was not easy trying to find such beautiful Yellow flowers this time of year, but you are worth it Yuuri.
In the endless garden of flowers I will always pick you.
-A.J Lawless.
Love,
Victor.
“You have an amazing Man Yuuri.” Takeshi admits softly towards Yuuri.
“That’s exactly why I wanted to become his husband.” Yuuri admits dreamily.
Well does he take you out dancing just so he can hold you close.
“I have two left feet, no way am I going out dancing tonight.” Yuuri calmly tells Victor as he does dishes.
Victor just started pouting.
“Oh come on sladkiy angel, it’ll be fun.” Victor persists.
Yuuri rolled his eyes,
“For you and our friends maybe, but not so much for me.” Yuuri adds.
Victor decides to add the puppy dog eyes onto the pout.
When Yuuri looks over at his husband his heart melts at how adorable he looks. Yuuri then lets out a long sigh.
“Fine, we can go. But you're going to have to make it up to me.” Yuuri playfully threatens.
Victor’s pout and eyes disappeared and was replaced with a devilish smirk as he bends down to whisper something into Yuuri’s ear. Yuuri had the urge to drop the plate he was washing and collapse to the floor.
“You sir are the Devil.” Yuuri pants.
Victor just chuckled,
“That’s not what you said last night or this morning, mal’chik.”
Victor and Yuuri may or may not have been a few hours late to meet their friends.
Yuuri sat next to Phichit as they caught up while everyone else was either dancing or getting drinks. Phichit laughs as he points past Yuuri where he turns around and sees that Victor was heading towards them trying to dance seductively towards his best friend.
“It’s time now for our dance.” Victor announces towards his blushing husband.
“Victor, I can't dance to this type of music.” Yurri points out gently.
“Don’t worry Yuuri I got it taken care of.” Victor cheers.
Before Yuuri could stop his husband Victor grabs his wrist and drags him to the dance floor.
Yuuri sends Phichit a glare when he sees him laughing.
Yuuri stands there awkwardly as the loud dance pop song continues playing over the speakers.
“All right now, I’m going to slow it down for a moment for Yuuri Katsuki-Nikiforov.” The Dj announces over the speaker.
Just as Yuuri is about to scold his husband the dance pop song disappears and Yuuri’s eyes water. Victor then pulls Yuuri close to his chest and starts swaying.
“You asked him to play our wedding song.” Yuuri whispers into his husband's ear.
Victor shrugged,
“I wanted to dance with my husband to our song.” Victor whispers into Yuuri’s ear.
Yurri was anything but a dancer but he enjoyed this moment with his husband.
Dedicate A Song With Words Meant Just For You.
Victor and Yurri were driving home from the Ice Rink laughing and talking. Yurri was just looking out the window into the darkness watching snow falling. Victor was just humming along to the radio when he noticed the time on the clock.
“Moya Lyubov, do you mind changing the radio for me? I don't like this song.” Victor inquires.
“Sure.” Yuuri agreed, turning his attention to the radio.
Yuuri turned the knob for another station,
“Ehh can you change it again.”
Yuuri nodded.
It took Yuuri five minutes to finally find Victor the right radio station. Yuuri was close to losing his patience.
“Thank you for joining J-wave. We had a very special and romantic request from one of our guests Victor Nikiforov-Katsuki for his husband Yuuri. So please enjoy it!” The female announcer gushes.
Yuuri whipped his head towards Victor,
“What is happening right now Victor?” Yuuri hisses.
Victor shrugged.
Then the car was filled with a soft love ballad.
“Every time I hear this song, all I can do is think about you.” Victor explains.
“Victor pull this car over now.” Yuuri demands.
Once Victor pulled over to the side of the road Yuuri took his seatbelt off and pounced on his husband.
Well I guess now when I hear this song I will be reminded of something else entirely Victor notes.
Because He Will Wear Your Favorite Color Just So He Can Match Your Eyes.
“Victor come on we can’t be late to the ceremony, Gijiroku would murder us.” Yuuri reminds his husband as he gets ready to feed Makkachin.
“I’m almost ready dorogoy.” Victor replies as he enters the kitchen while fumbling with his cuff links.
Yuuri looks up from filling up the bowls with food and water and gasps.
Victor is dressed in a Royal Blue button down with fitted Black slacks and Black dress shoes.
“What do you think?” Victor sounds insecure as shows off the outfit.
“You look breathtaking.” Yuuri stutters out.
Victor beams at the praise
“I was at the shops recently with Makka and I saw this in a shop window and I thought you would like it.”
“You look delicious. I mean you look great, Koibito.” Yuuri mentally slapped himself.
Victor just smirked playfully at his husband.
“At least wait until after the wedding to let me ravish you.” Victor jokes.
Yuuri rolls his eyes,
“With that comment it’s most definitely not going to happen now.”
Victor just lets out a snort of laughter.
Later on during the night
Yuuri tells Victor how much he had loved that Victor wore his favorite color.
Rent A Private Picnic By The Fire’s Glow.
“Shin'ainaru-kun e where are we going.” Yuuri asked for the millionth time.
“I can’t tell you or it would ruin the surprise.” Victor told his lover gently.
Yuuri just pouted.
“It’s our anniversary, I'm sure you can share this with me” he pleads.
Victor just reached out and held his husband's hand.
Once they were finally at Victor’s secret destination, Victor turned to the backseat and grabbed their Royal Blue Satin Blindfold and handed it to Yuuri.
Yuuri just looked at Victor on confusion,
“Victor, we've already done this before, remember.”
Victor rolled his eyes, how could he forget.
“It’s for the surprise, wow, Yuuri get your mind out of the gutter.” Victor playfully scolds.
Yuuri rolled his eyes but tied the blindfold over his eyes.
Victor then got out of the car and went to the passenger side opening the door Victor gently grabbed Yuuri’s hands and gently pulled him out of the car and then carefully led Yuuri to the secret destination.
“Okay Lyubov' vsey moyey zhizni take off the blindfold.” Victor whispers into his husband's ear.
Once the blindfold is gone Yuuri opens his eyes and air leaves his lungs.
They were having a picnic outside under the bright stars. There was a warm roaring fire in the pit.The blanket was at a safe distance from the pit.
“Victor.” Yuuri was speechless.
“Happy one year Lyubov' vsey moyey zhizni' Victor announces.
Yuuri was still speechless as Victor walked him towards the picnic area. Once seated, Victor opens the picnic and pulls out two plates and two champagne glasses. He fills up the glasses and hands one to Yuuri.
“To us.” Victor cheers.
Yuuri smiles,
“To us.” Yuuri cheers back.
After the cheers Victor pulls out a thermos of his family’s secret recipe of Cabbage Soup, some grilled cheese sandwiches, a container of Greek salad, and lastly some dinner rolls.
“Victor, this is wonderful.” Yuuri praised.
Victor just shrugged nonchalantly.
“I wanted to do something special.” Victor admits.
After eating the young married couple just huddled together and just admired the stars from up above.
“What has gotten into you?” Yuuri blurts out of nowhere.
“What do you mean?” Victor’s confused.
Yuuri pulled away to face his husband,
“Not that I don’t appreciate this, but I’ve been noticing that you have been more romantic lately. With breakfast in bed, wearing my favorite color, Slow dancing at a club.” Yuuri rushes out.
Victor blushed.
“It’s like your favorite song you know from Dizunī no mahōnikakerarete.” Victor explains.
“I just wanted to show you the other ways that show you how I Love You.” Victor blushes.
Yuuri’s heart melts.
Yurri grabbed his husband by the face and kissed him with so much passion.
When they pulled back for air.
“Victor Nikiforov- Katsuki, You are my Prince Charming and I couldn’t imagine having this fairytale life without you.”Yuuri whispers.
“Not even that Patrick Dempsey.” Victor jokes.
Yuuri laughs,
“Way to ruin the romantic atmosphere. But no, not even Patrick Dempsey could make me as happy as you do.”
That’s How You Know That He Loves Him.
