Work Text:
It starts with a simple mission. It always starts like that.
Agency has some things to deal with. Information digging, if you may. And who's the perfect candidate to get some information from a beautiful woman?
The first meeting doesn't go as planned. They're supervised by Kunikida and somehow Dazai is not shocked when he gets a call from miss Ichika, asking for a private meeting.
She decided to meet next to the bus stop and from there walk for a drink.
"I just thought you'd be more... understanding. Your friend seems very professional but not so... open".
"Well, that's my dear partner. But you shouldn't be worried about that, right? Your whole business is official and legal, am I right?".
Dazai lets her choose the street and the bar. Her heels echo on the pavement. As they're entering the chosen bar, Dazai barely takes a look at the logo.
"You're right, Dazai," she says, smiling at the waiter that guides them to the small booth in the corner. If he could, the detective would start laughing, seeing to which booth they're being guided. "All is legal, all is in the books, as well. So I don't understand why would I be questioned by Agency..." she pouts, after a moment ordering a tequila sunrise. Dazai decides to stay with the simple whiskey on the rocks, as he takes a look around the bar.
They are served their drinks pretty quickly. It's then when Dazai slides closer to her, his arm already around her shoulders. He seems pretty relaxed, taking a sip from his glass before looking back at her.
"It's funny, you know?", at her raised eyebrows, he smiles. "You're talking about how legit your business is... but you got us a booth in one of the bars on Port Mafia's territory. Doesn't seem too reliable for me".
Ichika shifts in her seat, her hand delicately landing on Dazai's thigh as she looks into his brown eyes with a smile. From the other booths, it probably looks like they're kissing. His eyes just for a moment focus on a bright red light somewhere in the other part of the bar.
"So a detective from the righteous agency not only knows the Mafia's territory but also doesn't seem intimidated or worried about being in one of theirs bars... That doesn't seem too reliable for me".
His fingers move lightly from her shoulder to her head, letting the black strands of her hair tangle and untangle between them as he listens.
"Well then... we have a stalemate" she hums in agreement, her hand moving slowly up his thigh as his lips touch the tip of her ear. Dazai's eyes are back on the bar behind her.
There's a certain redhead now standing next to it. A filled glass of red wine and, when their eyes meet, the red light around him.
"The stalemate doesn't work in your favour" he says quietly and hums, feeling her hand sliding higher and higher. "Once you figure it out... call me again," he says, abruptly standing up and taking his drink.
He winks at her and steps out of their booth, walking towards one of the private rooms.
No one stops him and he doesn't have to look behind him to see the person following him.
The room is dark, not counting dull neons hidden under the sofa. He doesn't wait too long.
Executive Nakahara Chuuya enters the room, the doors closing loudly by themselves. A different shade of red light fills the room, as he steps closer.
"Chibi found himself a new profession? Being a neon lamp?" he croons, his smile only widening when Chuuya straddles him, knees next to Dazai's thighs.
"You talk too damn much," he says, grimace forming on his face as he takes Dazai's chin between his fingers and moves it, investigating his neck. Looking for hickeys.
Others than the ones left by himself.
Dazai fights the shiver when he feels the ghost of a breath of his partner. His true partner.
"And in all of that your stupid head still doesn't get it" his breath gets stuck in his lungs, as he feels the first achingly slow kiss placed on his neck right above the line of his bandages.
"You're mine, Osamu. And I don't share".
