"Young master!" Sebastian's patience was visibly thinning. "For the last time, may I request that you get down off of that armoire and allow me to prepare you for your bath!"
"I believe I've made it clear that I will not take my bath this early." Ciel crossed his arms, body pressed tight to the wall. "It's still light out. And besides, you can't reach me up here."
"I would hate to have to call Agni."
"Go ahead," Ciel taunted. "I'll fight him!"
Sebastian turned sharply on his heel and retreated from the room.
Just as Ciel was entertaining the thought that he just might have won this round with the demon and was getting ready to negotiate for a later bedtime, Sebastian came sauntering back into the room, smug smile firmly in place.
With a plate of cookies.
Like a flash of sulky preteen lightning, the Queen's Watchdog scooted down from his perch and snatched one of the chocolate-studded treats. Sebastian chuckled.
"I would have fought Agni," Ciel mumbled through a mouthful of crumbs.
Sebastian smiled, handing Ciel the plate and then scooping him up, the little earl relaxing unbidden into the familiar scent. "I know you would, my lord."
