Chapter 1: Secret I

Chapter Text

Prettily made tables and chairs everywhere, a buffet of various foods lined up on the side, waiters and waitresses around the place serving the people their food and wine, soft music in the background, and the people's chatter and laughter filling the air inside the cold room.

Being in the corporate world of businessmen and women with everyone wearing formal attire-suits and dresses-wearing their never been genuine smiles, as they were talking and listening to how each other bragged about their wealth with a sip of wine on their hand just to look fancy. They were entirely out of the plan Jihyo had made for her week. It was supposed to be productive but look at her, isolating herself with the wine moving in a circular motion in her glass.

Though it was really not a surprise, nothing really came her way since the very start of involving herself in the business world her family had been into since her father was not yet born. It really was still a bummer, and to think that she had just arrived and there was more time to endure, it only made her groan.

"Jihyo, greet our other partners."

Jihyo looked over her shoulder and saw her father looking at her with her mom beside him, hooked arm and exuding elegance and power. But she frowned upon processing what he said.

"You said I could isolate myself from everyone and that my presence is enough? That's what we agreed on," she complained, frowning as she took a sip on her wine.

She originally did not plan on coming to her father's organized meeting for business partners and their families. She much preferred to spend her time in her room pretending to read a business book that her father had been telling her to read but she always found her way on shrugging the book away and after five minutes she would be holding her phone and playing an online game with Mina.

But her father chided and her mother urged her to come because hello? Mr. Park Yonghwa, her father, was the host of the party and so the requirement of every Park family in the event. So coming up with a defeated sigh, she agreed but on her own term which was that she would stay away from these hypocrites.

"You're already here, lovely. Come on, you are the next to be the CEO of Park Co. you'll have to work with them soon so might as well meet them now," her father said, kissing the side of her head which made her smile a little but that didn't much make her good anymore.

The two were looking at her expectantly, and who was she to decline her lovely parents? So with a sigh, she stood up. "Fine."

Her mother beamed, going to her other side while her father on the other. They went around, and as more business partners she met, she was starting to feel her cheeks hurt with her fake smile, especially when she met this certain family.

Jihyo frowned slightly when they saw which table they were going to now. The grip on her mother's hand tightened but she didn't tear her eyes away from these families who were already waiting for them to get near with a wide smile.

"Yonghwa," the man greeted with a full smile. "Thank you for inviting us here."

"Of course, Mr. Kang, there's no way you would be excluded in my parties."

Her mother went to greet Mr. Kang's wife, while she stood there at the side and watched them. She didn't want to greet the man who was looking at her since they had arrived, they were not close and she's not planning to, but it seemed like the other had a completely different plan.

"Hi, Jihyo," he greeted, smiling at her charmingly with his eyes forming a crescent and barely seen. He also had this smile that could swoon girls-whatever their age was-within a second.

But she was not one of those.

She gave him a tight-lipped smile. "Hey, Daniel."

She looked around, preferring to look anywhere just not him. This man had been bombarding her phone with text messages, in all social media accounts, even her personal number. He was adamant about asking her for a date, but Jihyo was more adamant about declining.

"Do you perhaps have time tonight?"

On her glance at the surroundings of this infamous hotel where her father decided to put up with the event, her eyes found this certain table just behind Daniel. Her hazelnut eyes were locked with those ebony eyes from the woman who was seated there.

And a wink .

"Jihyo?"

She was taken aback. She immediately tore her eyes away from the woman and looked at Daniel who was in time looking over his shoulder as well, and peeked at the way where she was looking earlier.

"Oh, Kim Dahyun," he muttered, then looked back at her. "Do you know her?"

"Not personally," she answered, glancing back at the woman who was now not looking back but entertaining those who were asking for a picture. "Just watched one of her movies. Anyway, what were you asking earlier?"

"Oh, I was asking if you have an errand to do tonight? I want to ask you for dinner?"

She should have known. She apologetically smiled at him. "I'll have my rest tonight, Daniel. Surely, this event is tiring for me. Maybe next time."

She bit her tongue. Well, maybe she shouldn't have said that. She knew for sure that there would be no next tim e and she would just keep on rejecting him. She felt more sorry when his face brightened.

"Really? Next time, okay? I'll hold onto that," he said enthusiastically, his eyes once again smiling and sparkling.

"Jihyo, let's go. Nice to see you well, Daniel," Her mom beckoned, holding her hand.

"It's nice to see you becoming more lovely, madam." She smiled sweetly to Daniel who kissed her on the cheek and gave way to them. "We'll see you again, next time."

Jihyo wanted to roll her eyes by his way of saying next tim e, it had emphasis. He wouldn't really stop unless she gives him a shot, but she knew very well than do it. She bowed respectfully to Mr. and Mrs. Kang who fondly smiled at her before they went away from them.

And that's when she realized which table they were going to.

"Kim Dahyun!" Her mother squealed, immediately letting go of her hand to fangirl over the girl who looked surprised at first to see them but immediately stood up and bowed.

"Hello, Mister Park, Madam Park." Her ebony eyes darted again and locked with her hazelnut ones. "Park Jihyo."

"Oh, dear! It's good that you've made it here. I've been meaning to meet you!"

Jihyo rolled her eyes at her mother's obvious admiration of the well-known multi-talented actress in South Korea, the highest-paid icon, and the most sought-after star around the world, Kim Dahyun.

Jihyo just listened to them interact. Her father already bid his goodbye to the actress and went to the other men who called him. She remained standing there, eyes never leaving the woman's bright and flawless face. She had this beautiful smile that could charm everyone's heart, man or woman, old or young, no exception. And her mother was one of those proofs.

"Thank you for inviting me, ma'am."

"No, thank you for accepting our invitation! Have you been enjoying yourself yet?"

"Yes, the food is great. I think, though, I have to cheat on my diet for tonight," she said which caused them to laugh.

Nothing's even funny there. Jihyo thought.

Their eyes met again, there's this glint in the actress' mono-lidded eyes that Jihyo couldn't point a finger on. She looked as if she was flirting, especially when her eyes went down to her lips when she licked it with her tongue, but Dahyun was not looking at her, yet she knew she was looking at her.

"Anyway, who's with you? I didn't see anyone here at your table," her mom spoke again, causing her to realize that she had been staring for too long at the actress so she tore her eyes away and just took her phone from her pocket.

Jihyo found a few texts from her friends, a lot of those messages coming from Sana.

From: Sana

Jihyo! Kim Dahyun is there!?

Hello? Jihyo!

I saw it on the TV!

You look fabulous by the way

But Dahyun looks so hot! Omg

Get her number and give it to me.

I'll wait for your reply and expect the number. Ily! Enjo y

"My manager was here earlier but she has to go fetch something back in our company so I'm alone while I haven't performed yet. But I'm fine, madam, you don't have to worry about me."

Jihyo rolled her eyes upon reading Sana's message and typed her reply.

To: Sana

Sorry, but I haven't seen her yet.

"Oh, dear. That's not a good idea to leave you alone, but hey, Jihyo is here, she could accompany you the whole night."

Right in time when she looked up from her phone, she saw the two looking at her. Her eyes flickered from her mother to Dahyun, unaware and clueless why they were looking at her.

She almost choked on her own saliva when she saw Dahyun seductively smirking at her, followed by a wink. All subtle while her mother was also looking at her. Her face turned warm, something moved inside her, and her heart thumped faster than it should have.

"W-why?" She asked consciously, clearing her throat and composed herself, and reiterated more firmly. "Why, mom?"

"Honey, you don't have anything to do here tonight, right?" She asked sweetly, hooking her arms around her arm.

"Nothing. I want to go home," she honestly said. In her peripheral vision, she could see Dahyun sitting down in her seat. "Why?"

"Don't go home yet, Jihyo. Accompany Dahyun for the night, her manager left her alone."

Jihyo looked at Dahyun again, she had her face perched on her hand while watching the interaction, a smile plastered on her lips— an alluring one.

Her brows furrowed. "And how is she my responsibility now? I'm sure she doesn't mind no company at all."

"I do, actually," Dahyun interjected. "Don't wanna look like an outcast."

"Honey, you're not. You're the best."

Jihyo huffed at her mother's clear flirting with the actress, and the woman obviously found it fascinating and clearly enjoyed it. She wasn't even like that with her father.

"Thank you, madam," Dahyun answered with a bright smile and a chuckle. Then her eyes flicked to Jihyo, "But I really do hope for company with your daughter. She seems fun."

"Trust me, she's not-"

"Mom!?"

Her mom rolled her eyes. "She's really fun, Dahyun. You can take her." Then Mr. Park called her as his muse. "I'm sorry I have to leave you."

"It's alright, madam. I'll have your daughter with me," Dahyun answered, standing up, and gave Mrs. Park a sweet hug while her eyes held Jihyo's.

When they separated, Mrs. Park looked at Jihyo, "Get me her autograph and photo, okay? Don't leave her."

Mrs. Park left the two alone, watching as she made her way back to her husband and converse with their other business partners. That was also when Jihyo realized that she was left alone with the actress, not just a simple actress but the actress who kept on looking at her very differently from the others.

"You can sit with me, Miss Park," she spoke, a wide grin plastered on her face as she eyed her with vigor.

Jihyo just sighed and did not meet her eyes. Instead, she turned her back and was about to walk to the chair across Dahyun but a delicate hand gripped her wrist. She felt something tugged in her heart at the touch, then another tug when those sharp, ebony eyes met hers.

"Sit beside me," she said, hand gripping tighter.

"Why?"

Dahyun looked confused at the question, and Jihyo felt stupid at the question. The actress smiled nonetheless, the smile different to those that she gave to the people who were asking for a picture or talking to her, it was also not sheepish but instead, a bold, flirty one. "Just wanna feel you."

A surge of warm blood rushed to Jihyo's face as she gawked at the actress who in turn chuckled at her reaction. Did she hear it right? Was she really flirting? Was that remark dirty or it's just her? She couldn't tell.

Dahyun pulled her to sit on the chair beside her. "Have you eaten?"

"No. You?"

"Thanks for asking, princess, but maybe later."

Jihyo stared at Dahyun, the actress was looking at her with a smile, the smile that was obviously not up to any good. She scoffed and rolled her eyes. "What's up with you, Kim Dahyun?"

The woman feigned shock and innocence, placing her hand across her mouth, "Oh, me? What do you mean? I'm just answering your questions."

"Really now?" She asked, staring at her eyes with her brows raised, trying to intimidate her but the latter was far from it.

"You look hot when you do that." Dahyun remarked, smirking at her. "And cute when you smile."

A lot had already told her that same compliment, but it didn't affect her much, and would just shrug it off. But with this girl, it was different, she just felt her face warmed.

She drank the water in front of her, seeing Dahyun smile wider. She drank it all up to the last drop then glared at her. "Are you flirting with me?"

"First of all, you drink my water. That's an indirect kiss but I'm not complaining, maybe I would complain if you reject a direct one," The way she said it was blunt. Her eyes flicked to Jihyo's wet lips, then back to her eyes. "Second, well, I don't really know how to flirt, I'm just naturally like this. Maybe I am, maybe I am not."

Jihyo huffed. "You clearly are. Whatever, don't talk to me."

She looked away, her dad was already in front and speaking at the podium, thanking everyone who attended his business party. This party could also be the celebration for being now on top in the business world.

And with that said, it means that every eye now was darted at her like a camera, her every move was recorded, her life would be publicized, the world would wait for a mistake to bash, the pressure would be unbearable.

But she was ready.

"You said you haven't eaten yet?" Dahyun asked after a while of silence, Jihyo didn't answer nor look but nodded, not wanting to be rude, and that was still enough for Dahyun to smile widely as she stood up from her seat.

"Where are you going?" She asked inquisitively. "You ask my mom to accompany you here but you're-"

"I'll get you food, princess," she cut her rant off, and Jihyo sat there frozen by what she heard. This infamous actress would get her food? That just didn't make sense. "Ain't I one sweet, little charmer?"

"No, wait! There's no need, I could get it myself," Jihyo immediately protested, standing up but was stopped by a hand on her shoulder.

"Just relax, Jihyo." Dahyun put her other hand on her other shoulder, pushing her to sit back down in her chair. She then moved further forward, until her lips were across her ear. "I would love to serve you your meals for the rest of my life."

The presence in front of her was gone, but the way her hand moved from her shoulder down to her hand was lingering, and sent shivers down her spine. And what did she say? Serve her meals for the rest of her life? What does that mean?

Once again, she drank, but the wine this time.

"Here you go," Jihyo looked at the plate in front of her, it was full of various foods.

"This is a lot," she remarked, looking at the woman who called for a waiter and asked for a water refill. "I wouldn't be able to rat all of these and I do not want to waste food."

Dahyun sat on her chair beside her, propping her elbow on the table, and here comes again her alluring smile. "Then we can share. You can feed me and I will gladly open my mouth for you."

Jihyo squinted her eyes, looking at her plate, to the utensils there, then back to the actress's smile. She suspiciously looked at her. "You've thought of this already."

"Oh, no." The woman denied it, but her smile told another story, "I just thought you could eat that much."

"And what do you mean by that?"

"Nothing! Gosh, can you just eat it?"

Jihyo was slightly taken aback by her sudden change of tone. She looked irritated, but it was odd. Jihyo should also feel annoyed by her reaction, but she found her cute, especially when she was red.

Taking the spoon and fork, she chuckled. "You're weird."

"Oh, did I just make the Park CEO-in-line laugh?" She asked with a grin, moving closer until their knees bumped.

Just like that, her face fell and went back into a blank. "I'm a human, of course, I laugh."

"But not to everyone, so it's flattering." Dahyun followed the spoon until it went inside Jihyo's mouth, she gulped and tore her eyes away from her.

"Kim Dahyun is a heartbreaker."

Dahyun gasped dramatically. "Hey! You can't say that without any basis!"

"Your flirty mien says it all."

"I told you, that's not flirting. I'm just being friendly," Dahyun defended, pouting at the accusation.

Jihyo couldn't help but think how cute she was. "So you're being friendly right now?"

"Well, right now, no." She placed her hand on her thigh and squeezed it. "I'm charming you."

Jihyo glanced around, taking her hand off of her thigh, and looked at her deeply. "You don't know what you're getting yourself into, Miss Kim."

"Oh no." She waved her hand as her seductive smile showed again. "I totally know what I'm getting myself into," She placed her hand again on her thigh, leaning closer to her face. "Into your pants."

Jihyo stared at her eyes that didn't back down but only held her stare. She felt her heart quickening, she didn't know what's in this woman's mind, and she couldn't help but scoff. "For a high-end woman as yourself, that's actually so low to ask someone for sex so boldly. Are you that needy?"

Dahyun pulled away, crossing her arm on her chest. "Don't get me wrong, Miss Park. I never approached people for that matter before. You are just so hot with that buttoned blazer, and you turn me on."

Jihyo huffed, turning her attention back to her food and stabbing the pork meat. "You are so blunt in this matter," She ate the food. "I'm not interested."

"Sure, you're not," Dahyun answered coyly. Her hand went again on her thigh, rubbing it up and down, "Yet."

"Never," she answered firmly, shaking her hand away from her thigh, and threw the warm and forming twist in her stomach, trying not to be obviously affected.

"I like my girl tough."

"Can you shut up? I'm eating."

"How about let me eat later too?"

"Oh my god, Kim Dahyun!"

"I'm kidding! You're cute."

"Shut your mouth."

"Make me."

"Not here, babe."

Jihyo snorted when the actress stared at her with wide eyes, her mouth fell open, and she became speechless. "Got ya."

It's fun to tease this woman.

However, it took her completely off guard when a hand suddenly pulled her out from her seat, the food was left out on the table, and the area itself became vacant as she was dragged out of the compact room.

"Where are you taking me? I'm eating." Jihyo asked with an irritated voice. She was pulling her hand but Dahyun would pull it with doubled force. "Kim Dahyun!"

Dahyun didn't answer, she took the empty hallway toward the backstage, and that's when Jihyo realized where they were going. The blue and pink sign on the door said it all.

She felt herself stiffen, her eyes widened as Dahyun pushed the door open and pulled her in, closing it behind her back. But the beating of her heart became potent as her breath hitched upon feeling the wall on her back and a soft body attached on her front, her hands were already above her head.

"W-what are you doing? Get off of me!" She stuttered, squirming but Dahyun only pinned her more with her body.

Her face was so near, she could feel her hot breath on her cheeks, and she clearly did not know what to do and why the hell did she suddenly feel so weak. Nayeon always deemed her the strongest in her circle of friends, Jeongyeon always told her she had a heavy hand whenever she smacked her, but how did that happen that she couldn't move right now?

"Shut me up, babe. No one's looking," Dahyun whispered, blowing her ear.

"I-I was just kidding!" Jihyo croaked, gritting her teeth and glaring at Dahyun. "Get off of me, Kim. Someone might come in and find us like this. Have you forgotten that you're an idol?"

"Kiss me and I'll get off of you," she insistently suggested, her lips now attached to her cheeks and she had no idea how much it affected the other. "Park Jihyo-"

Jihyo harshly turned her face and captured the actress's lips. She knew she wasn't acting for just a simple peck, so her lips were moving. And oh, how she suddenly felt like she was on cloud nine, kissing the softest cloud there was. And oh, how she cursed Kim Dahyun for having this softest lips that she couldn't help but deepen it more.

Dahyun gasped upon feeling a tongue skidding her lower lip, and soon entered her mouth, meeting her own. She felt weak. Her confidence and dominant character earlier were found missing.

And unaware of her, she was now the one pinned on the wall. Her hands threading Jihyo's brown locks.

Jihyo's lips left Dahyun's mouth, traveling kisses down her jaw, her hand caressing the actress's curvy sides. Her jasmine and flowery scent were intoxicating, and Jihyo was intoxicated. A moan escaped Dahyun's lips when Jihyo nipped on her pulse point, marking the woman's neck.

They found each other's lips once more until it came to a stop when both needed air to fill their lungs. They were panting as they looked at each other's eyes. They were a mess, lipsticks smudge at each other, lips swollen which made them wonder how long they were making out, and their faces were still near each other.

Dahyun's smile slowly crept back on her lips as she caressed Jihyo's cheek. "That ended up pretty hot and messy, didn't it?"

Jihyo looked at her lips, then back to her eyes. "This is harassment, you forced me into this."

Dahyun giggled. "Really now? Would you have a look at our position right now? I am basically..." She tried to squirm, but Jihyo's body was restraining her to do so. "Pinned on the wall, am I not?"

Realizing it, Jihyo immediately detached herself from her and stepped three steps backward, seeing now how messy they really were. Dahyun's red dress was slightly lifted up and crumpled, her black hair was slightly disheveled, and her lipsticks were really now smudged.

"You wanted it," she shot back, then it was her time to smirk. "You even moaned."

The pale woman became beet red, couldn't deny the fact that she indeed moaned because of...then she remembered something, she gasped. "Oh my goodness, Jihyo!"

Jihyo looked as she ran to the sink, in front of the mirror and tilted her head, tracing the red mark on her neck.

"I'm still yet to perform tonight!"

"Why are you and Kim Dahyun in the bathroom?"

Jihyo coughed from drinking her glass of water when her sister, Soyeon, suddenly asked that question. She glared at her when she recovered. "Can't we be in the same bathroom?"

Her sister raised her hands. "Chill, I was just asking. Why are you so defensive?"

"That's not being defensive, that's obviously a question that you shouldn't-"

"Shh! Shut up, she'll perform now."

Jihyo huffed at her sister's annoying attitude, but she also looked at the stage where Kim Dahyun walked in. A grand piano is in the middle with a microphone in front of her seat. She looked neat now, even refreshed by the retouch they did earlier in the bathroom.

Her eyes traveled down her white neck, she silently praised herself for putting a hickey- she meant, putting a concealer to cover that mark. She was really freaking out upon finding that out, but when she apologized, she just kissed her and told her she loved it and even followed with, 'it's hot, princess, I might return the favor later.'

The people cheered when she smiled and started pressing the keys. Everyone was drawn on her, well who wouldn't? She's the hot topic every day, Whatever she holds, turns gold. She's also perfect.

A good kisser too.

Jihyo couldn't quite make out how did they end up being here in this particular situation- inside her car, at the parking of this certain five-star hotel, the renowned actress who came by the name of Kim Dahyun on her lap, their lips perfectly moving in sync, the car fogged with heated yet another make-out session.

As far as she could remember, her mother forced her again to send Dahyun home instead of waiting for her driver. Of course, Jihyo declined and suggested Soyeon's driver instead of her, but really, Dahyun might have liked seeing her suffer so she agreed with the idea of Jihyo sending her home.

"To be honest, we've kind of built a close relationship with each other, Mrs. Park. Jihyo really is good," Dahyun looked at her knowingly, the sweet smile that she often showed in public plastered on her face, "and fun. So sending me home is a perfect idea."

The ride home was silent, she never dared to look at her even though the actress was blatantly staring at her. She would try throwing a casual conversation that would turn to playful and seductive ones, but Jihyo was so good at shrugging them until Dahyun just gave up and sulked on the side for the lack of attention.

And this was her revenge.

A nip on her collarbone elicited a moan from her lips, then it traveled up to her neck and nipped another one there.

"Don't...mark too many," Jihyo managed to say, her hands traveling up Dahyun's milky thighs, "I have a meeting tomorrow."

Dahyun chuckled, capturing Jihyo's lips and pushing her tongue inside. Jihyo's mouth tasted the wine she drank earlier, it was drunkenly tasty, even addictive, and Dahyun couldn't have enough of it.

Their kiss was stopped by the ringing of a phone, it sure was not Jihyo's as it had the distinct ringtone of Ed Sheeran's Shape of Yo u. But Dahyun kept kissing her, and she had to push her shoulder so she would stop.

"I think," she panted. "You should answer that."

Dahyun huffed in irritation, taking her bag on the other seat and took out her phone, pressing the accept button even without getting off her lap.

"What?"

"Woah, chill! What did I do?" Dahyun's best friend, Chaeyoung, laughed on the phone, "I just want to ask if you're already home."

"Yes, I am. Don't disturb me for a moment, will you?" She met Jihyo's eyes, she was chuckling at her irritated face.

"What's with you? Are you in the middle of sex-"

"No, I'm not!" She held Jihyo's hand on her thigh and stopped it from moving, mouthing a firm 'stop '.

"Yes, you are!" Chaeyoung claimed, cackling, "So, who is it? Don't tell me it's an old, rich, dying man? Gosh, Dubu, are you that desperate-"

"Can you shut your filthy mouth and tell me why you call!?" Dahyun stared at Jihyo's natural big eyes, they were boring through her soul, intimidating but beautiful.

"I'm in your condo so you can't basically drag your sex mate here. Hurry up and go home!"

As soon as the call ended, Dahyun threw her phone back inside her bag and kissed Jihyo once again with an air-knocking kiss. She had kissed a lot of people, especially the nature of her field of work, but no one tied with how soft and delicate Jihyo's lips were. She felt like she never wanted to part her lips with her, and really, if she could, she would.

But she couldn't.

"I have to go," she muttered on her lips after their kiss, Jihyo had her eyes closed.

"You should have already been in your room and resting now fifteen minutes ago," she answered, opening her eyes that stared straight at her. "And I should've been home as well by now."

Dahyun smiles cheekily. "But you're still here because you couldn't resist my charm."

"I'm still here because you harassed me once again."

"You like it."

"Who says I didn't?"

Dahyun's smile widened at her answer, she giggled and peeled herself out of her lap and sat on the passenger seat. "That's not harassment if you liked it."

"You keep on annoying me to kiss you, so that counts." She shot back. "But really, you should get your butt out of my car and rest."

"Is that a concern that I'm hearing?" The actress teased, and Jihyo rolled her eyes.

"That's my way of telling you kindl y to get out of my car." She crossed her arms. "Get out of my car."

Dahyun snorted, "Wow, you were just so enjoying biting on my lips earlier and now you're acting like we're strangers?" She feigned offense, "I'm Kim Dahyun, don't you know it? Everyone wants me."

"Okay, Kim Dahyun that everyone wants but not me, get out of my car," Jihyo said which only made Dahyun pouted cutely.

With a glare, she gathered her things and fixed herself, glancing once more at her skill s such as the hickeys on her neck and collarbone before she opened the car's door.

"I'll see you when I see you, babe." Dahyun let out, winking and puckering her lips for a flying kiss before she closed the door.

Jihyo watched her walk to the hotel's entrance, glancing once at her before she vanished out of her sight.

When both were already home, that's when they realized that they had no each other's number.

"So, where is it?"

Jihyo glanced at Sana who walked beside her as they entered their company. Sana worked under their firm as an office manager, along with Nayeon who was the accountant. She was holding a cup of tea in one hand and her bag on the other, she was looking at her expectantly.

"Where is what?" She asked puzzlingly. The employees who saw her greeted and bowed, which she smiled in return.

Sana huffed. "The number? Kim Dahyun's number? I told you to ask for it."

Jihyo pursed her lips, couldn't help her mind but flashback to the happenings of yesterday night. She could still feel the tenderness and softness of the actress's lips, the jasmine scent that was intoxicating her, the milky white neck that she marked up. It all felt like a dream, but when she looked at the mirror when she woke up, she saw the indubitable hickeys on her collarbone and neck that she had to wear a turtleneck today.

"Jihyo?"

She blinked, then realized that her hand was on her neck. She immediately put down her hand and cleared her throat and answered, "I didn't meet her."

Sana scoffed loudly. "You know for sure that that business party had the media present inside, do you?"

"Yes, and?"

"Gosh," Sana muttered. She fished out her phone from her pocket and showed her a certain picture. "Tell me how you didn't meet her."

Jihyo gawked at the picture—it was the time when Dahyun held her shoulders and leaned for a whisper. The caption was just simple— Next CEO of Park Co. Park Jihyo and Star Kim Dahyun's interaction is too cute to handle.

"It's nothing. I just accompanied her for a moment as mom asked me to." She shrugged, tapping her shoes on the floor as she watched the changing of numbers. "And I don't want her to think that I'm a creep to ask for her number just like that. I don't have the confidence like yours, Sana."

"Really? May I see your neck then?"

Jihyo whipped her head at her instantly, her eyes wide and a baffled expression displayed on her face. "W-what are you talking about? There's nothing here."

"Oh? I didn't say there's something there, I just wanna see your neck," Sana innocently said, but the smile on her face was taunting.

"No, go back to your work." She used her superior voice, pushing Sana out of the elevator when it stopped on her floor.

"I know how it feels when I also hide something, a hickey for example," she meaningfully said and laughed loudly before the door closed.

Jihyo sighed loudly, she was left alone inside. She pulled the turtleneck slightly and looked at her reflection on the elevator, it was really noticeable.

"I should have given you more, Kim Dahyun," she muttered to herself and fixed her clothes, concentrating and motivating herself to work again.

Yet, she found herself staring at the billboard across their building where those very familiar ebony eyes, and familiar smiles were staring right back at her.

A buzz on her phone peeled her attention from the woman, she took it from her pocket and found an unknown number calling her. She hesitated for a bit but then pressed the green button.

"He-"

"Hi, babe."
