Summary
10 years after nuclear missiles wipe almost all life from the face of the earth, 18-year-old Clarke Griffin believes she is the last human being alive. Until a brooding military leader and his platoon show up, that is.
Said brooding military leader Bellamy Blake has spent the past 10 years in search of something called "the key"- also known as the future of humanity- and he has solid reasoning to believe that Clarke Griffin holds that key, whether or not she realizes it. What he soon discovers, however, is that wild women aren't easily tamed and the girl who holds humanity's salvation could also hold his own personal damnation.
