It was early on the 25th of December, and Shoto woke up to the feeling of his husband gently shaking him and the sound of “Wake up! It’s Christmas!” from an excited Izuku. Shoto laughed quietly at his husband's childish excitement for the holiday.
Izuku and Shouto were both wearing matching pajamas, which was Izuku’s idea, and Shouto did it because he was weak to his husband’s smile, plus there is no harm in wearing matching pajamas to see that smile that he loves so much.
Once Izuku had practically dragged Shouto out of their bed and down into their living room to the couch to start opening presents.
Once the stockings were empty and the couple had opened all visible presents, that was when Shouto told Izuku to “Close your eyes and cover your ears with your hands.” Izuku did as he was told.
Once Shouto was sure that Izuku’s eyes were close and he couldn’t hear Shouto anymore, Shouto left the room to go to the front door as he had texted Tsuyu and Uraraka when he had disappeared to use the bathroom after he was dragged out of bed. Shouto had texted Tsuyu and Uraraka to bring him the puppy he had gotten Izuku for christmas but since he couldn’t keep the puppy at their house he had asked his friends if they could house the puppy until christmas day, he had also warned them that Izuku gets up incredibly early on christmas morning. Once he got to the front door he opened it as quietly as he could to see that Tsuyu was holding a bunch of blankets and Uraraka was in the process of texting him that they were here. Tsuyu handed Shouto the bundle very carefully and told him that it was the puppy and that she was asleep.
Once Shouto had thanked Tsuyu and Uraraka and told them they were welcome to come and join them for christmas dinner later today, and then sent them on their way.
Shouto re-entered the living room and went behind Izuku to tap him on the shoulder.
“Turn around but keep your eyes closed.” Shouto said.
“Okay?” Izuku said, sounding confused as he turned around keeping his eyes closed.
“Hold out your hands.” Shouto said and Izuku complied and held his hands out.
Shouto led one of Izuku’s hands to touch the bundle of blankets and said “Okay you can open your eyes now.”
When Izuku opened his eyes all he said was “What's in the blankets.”
“Well if you hold out your arms you can see for yourself.” Shouto said with a small smile on his face. Izuku held out his arms and carefully took the bundle of blankets from Shouto.
When Izuku opened and looked into the blankets he gasped and looked at Shouto with a big smile and whispered “Oh my god, you got me a puppy! I love you so much, come here so I can give you a hug and a kiss.”
Shouto gave Izuku a big hug and kissed him sweetly and asked ‘What are you going to name her?”
“How about Pebble?” Izuku asked.
“Sure sounds adorable.” Shouto said.
Pebble was a nine week old, Blenheim Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, who was now awake and whining because she was hungry and was being held by someone she had never met.
“Oh hush baby you're okay.” Izuku said as he started rocking Pebble. Once she had calmed down they all cuddled on the couch for about an hour before they needed to start christmas dinner.
Once dinner was cooking, Shout went and got a shower and got dressed in some nice clothes. He went downstairs to watch Pebble so Izuku could go do the same. Once they were both dressed people started arriving for dinner.
Everyone was there in couples, Kirishima and Bakugo, Tsuyu and Uraraka, Momo and Jiro, Shinso and Denki, Iida and Sero, Aizawa and Present Mic, All Might and Inko(Izuku’s mom), Eri, Shoji and Tokoyami, Kota, Koda, Ojiro and Hagakera, Mina, Ayoyama, Sato, Fuyumi, Natsuo, Touya/Dabi and Hawks, and finally Rei Shouto’s mother.
Everyone was having a good time and they all eat till they couldn’t eat anymore and they partied until people had to leave. Aizawa and Present Mic left around 10:30pm with Eri and Kota. Ojiro and Hagakera had to leave at 10:00pm because they needed to get back to their baby as the babysitter had called and told them that their baby wouldn’t settle. The rest stayed until almost midnight and then slowly all started to leave until it was just Izuku and Shouto left alone.
After Izuku and Shouto had finished cleaning up as much as they could with how tired they were, they went to bed after one of the best Christmases they had ever shared.
