Work Text:

Tommy's hands were on the soft petals of the flowers, being surrounded by them and their beautiful colors and delicious smell.

The sun was at the top of the blue sky, surrounded by fluffy white clouds. The birds were singing and chirping happily, no crow in view, something that made the blond relax more, knowing his father's crows weren't there to spy on him.

His ears twisted at the sound of footsteps, they were heavy and familiar, making him stay in his relaxed state.

He slowly turned his head around, already knowing who was there, meeting green and red eyes, they were looking softly at him, like he was something frail and couldn't stand any sharp or harsh look. That didn't make sense to him, being used to them, but it was something he appreciated.

"Ranboo, what a surprise seeing you away from Wilbur's van." He said slowly and quietly, nothing like his once loud and harsh voice.

"He said it was my day off, so I decided to be with you." Ranboo's voice was calm and gentle, something normal of him.

"Mm, it's not something I understand from you Boo, but okay," Tommy looked again at the flowers. "You can sit with me, if you want."

The older one didn't say anything, just made his way to the other teen and sat down beside him, also watching the flowers.

"They are beautiful, aren't they?." The half and half boy asked, looking gently at the flowers, knowing they were important for his blond friend.

"Yes, they are." He didn't say much, and it's not like it was needed, even if he was rude to Ranboo In front of everyone else, he knew the other very well, they met first after all, they talked in exile and did hang out a lot in that time.

Both teenagers sat in a nice silence, words not being necessary at the moment.

The wind hit both of them gently, making their hair move, especially Tommy's hair, since it was longer.

Soon, Ranboo's hands were on his own, connecting their fingers together. A smile was on the taller one face, making the blue eyed teen smile back.

Tommy's fingers were on Ranboo's hair, caressing it with gentle movements, his eyes were half lidded, while the taller boy's eyes were closed, enjoying Tommy's moment of softness.

For many this could be weird, having almost always seen the young blond with an angry face, but Ranboo had seen more, he had seen his friend in his saddest, happiest and softest moments, that being a privilege for him.

Sometimes he wonders if Wilbur or Tubbo had seen him like that, or maybe even Phil or Techno, he doesn't know and to be honest, doesn't care right now, not when his shorter friend is finally relaxing.

"Hey Boo." Tommy's voice made him stop thinking and opening his eyes to look right into the bright baby blue eyes of the blond.

"Yeah?."

"Are you going to do something tomorrow?." His voice was quiet, something he got used to in exile.

Even having his memory problem, the older teen remembered something, something he knows could make Tommy don't trust him again.

"Yes, I'm sorry, but I have to do things tomorrow, y'know, the things from my book club." He said, knowing he couldn't tell the reason why he couldn't.

"Oh, yeah, I know, Techno and Phil can be very strict with things, even more when they are for only close ones." The blond voice sounded nostalgic, surely remembering how everything was before the wars, before entering the server.

Before that bastard hurted him.

"Yeah, they are."

Ranboo looked at Tommy's face, looking at his pale red nose, his fluffy long ears and his bright eyes, eyes that looked at him with so much care, even for someone as broken as Tommy, who somehow still had love for people and the things earth gave them.

Tommy, one of the people he trusted the most.

"Tommy, I want you to know, you're a really good friend." He said, watching how Tommy's cheeks became a rosy color because of the complement and embarrassment.

"Please, shut the fuck up." The blond said quietly, not looking at the half enderman.

Ranboo just giggled at his friend.

Tommy knew the older one was gonna make fun of him in the future, and he was ready to know how he shouldn't anger a bunny hybrid.

But for now? They could have fun, and forget about everyone else.

Notes:

Remember, this is platonic.
