well not alone anymore, he's got this really small adorable looking alien now! and he's in too deep, he's already sworn his life to the guy.
Tommy picks up alien friends left and right to slowly work his way around space to survive. His hell through space does not prevent the affection that his heart still retains and he slowly begins to heal the scars that have been formed from being treated like an experiment, an animal.
now if only he could talk to them.

"Uses the air currents like feelers, I think," Dream's breath was coming heavier as he carried on running. "Gets an idea of where things are in relation to him. He doesn't always get it right, sometimes there are cracks in things big enough to feel like an escape route and he slams into a wall. Or he doesn't angle close enough to the ground and trips on things. He's uh-" Dream flipped the communicator around, and Techno blinked as Bad flew through the air, screeching the whole way. "He's slippery."

The boy took another sip of tea and licked his lips nervously as he skimmed the words there, no doubt planning his escape should they find him. Phil laid a steady hand over the boy’s shaking one, brushing his thumb against his knuckles. Tommy reacted to the touch as if he had been struck, flinching and hunching in on himself.
A better man probably would have released his hold on Tommy immediately but Phil didn’t get this far by being a good man. He kept the contact, squeezing gently in reassurance. “We will keep you safe, Tommy.”
Tommy swallowed hard and stared where their hands touched, “Ok, sir.”
You will be ok. Phil promises silently. I know my love is as terrifying and as all-consuming as a forest fire but I promise you it will only cradle you close and will not burn. My fury will be your safety and I will make sure all your scars are a distant memory.
Or: Phil drugs Tommy but it doesn't go as planned.
