A screen flashed to life, hovering just over the blank wall. Pig pressed gently on the edge of the mat with a hoof and it spoke.
Well… it kind of spoke.
The sound that came out was definitely some alien approximation of some human language that Tommy couldn’t quite place. Also, it had some sort of lilted quality (maybe from an audio overlay filter?) that didn’t quite sound like talking. More like…
The blonde tapped a section of the mat with the tip of his shoe to see if it would respond to him too.
It sang, Tommy realised, in German this time, and the screen above the place he had pressed lit up.

Philza had been touring the space station with his friend Missa, when he ran into his ex, who worked there. Next thing he knew he had been pushed into some sort of escape pod (that shouldn't have been set up yet), and ended up in the 'care' of some not so nice aliens. After being injected with some weird stuff that made him constantly hurt, they end up bringing a pig guy in, that helps him escape
Aka, Phil ends up forced into space, kidnapped by bad aliens, experimented on, befriends a pig man alien that he can't understand (and ends up mentally adopting), escapes, and ends up running into said pig dudes crew, adopting said crew, and falling in love. -

“Are they usually this affectionate?” Phil had started petting the human with both hands, cane set on the floor to the side.
“He was separated from his mother too early. Poaching is a big problem when it comes to humans, either for unethical testing or zoos.”
“We thought about rehabilitation and release, but he’s been raised in captivity,” Sam added, leaning against the wall. “He wouldn’t survive in the wild.”
“He was violent at first, understandably, but he’s since calmed down. As far as I’m aware though, this is the most tender he’s been since we picked him up. Maybe he can tell… Well…” Puffy flushed, looking away.

Techno was kidnapped by aliens, who he killed and may or may not had eaten a few of them, and now he's stuck with a weird metal creature that he's still not sure is alive.
Or B-grade robot Ranboo has no emotions, and big scary alien Techno is bad with emotions.

The adrenaline was slowly seeping away at this point, ragged breaths escaping him as he stared down at the defeated alien.
This was literally the worst possible outcome that could’ve come from his and his foster mothers’ argument. Like, he expected maybe a scolding when he got back, or at worst the police called on him for running away, but no. Honest to god aliens.Or,
Humans are a young race, and Tommy, a particularly volatile human, is plucked from his home and forced to survive in a foreign land. It certainly doesn't help with the fact that the whole of galactic society is under the impression humans lack the ability for complex thought.
OR, OR, tommy is a sewer rat and the rest of space is new york city and everyone is irrationally terrified of the rat. -

After humans are finally added to the Galactic Federation, so many more things are open to them in space. Including being able to send their children to one of the most famous multi-species schools, located on one of the wealthiest planets. Overworld.
They chose, somewhat at random, one child to send to this school.
That "child" happened to be 16-year-old Tommy Innes.
Maybe it wasn't the best idea to leave him without supervision

Tommy gets chosen to be the first human at an alien school, it goes about as well as you might expect

I wrote a self indulgent fic that centers less around the school than it should and instead more around Tommy figuring out how life in space works but oh well.

Summary
Philza was used to visiting alien cities, and while he often didn't know about the festivals that they were throwing, he knew that his crew enjoyed participating in those festivals when they had a chance.
When one crowd turns into an all-out brawl, Phil tries to step in and stop the fight. Unfortunately for him, it may not have been as random of a fight as he'd thought. This just leads Phil to participating in a ceremony that he hadn't intended to, ultimately leading to more than he'd bargained for.
While Phil didn't know a lot about aliens, he was about to when it turned out the fight was actually a ceremonial duel for a particular Piglin's hand in marriage.

And maybe he is—the human, while taller than most species of aliens, was a scrawny thing, all long limbs and knobby knees. Wilbur’s fairly sure that, on Earth (it isn’t called Terra), Tommy fits the qualifications of being a teenager.
And so, Wilbur backs off a little. Gives Tommy more space, because the poor boy looks like he might have a heart attack every time Wilbur so much as references his work on the ship. Which sucks a little, because he loves sharing what he discovers—there’s so much to learn, and yet, Tommy is terrified.

They had given the hairy alien a weapon. They had never given any of the aliens Tommy had dealt with before a weapon. It was some shiny metal looking stick, but it was enough for the hairy alien to get a hit on Tommy, a hit to the side of his head. Everything went black.
When he came to, the world was ringing, he couldn’t move or even breathe for a couple seconds. Panic started to rise, if he couldn’t move then he would die. He was in a fight, all they wanted was death. This was a fight to the death.
AKA: Tommy is sold to an alien underground fighting ring, when an oddly pink cellmate shows up one night. Tommy was absolutely dominating the fights too, killing every alien they put in front of him, until they start to give said aliens weapons. Until one of them gets a hit to Tommy's head and now his pink cellmate is all too concerned about him.
AKA AKA: Tommy gets a concussion in an illegal underground fighting ring... in space!
