Work Text:
Alice could feel her blood burn. It was perfect... Her plan was absolutely perfect! How could this happen!? She planned EVERYTHING!! EVERY LITTLE THING!! The only mistake was Henry... That idiot ruined her perfection! Her feet ran as fast as she could allow herself to. Her face was an inch away from Henry's, when she felt an horrible pain in her back. She looked down to see the sharp sword stabbing her. She did, in fact, recognize de sword. Or at least, its owner.
When she fell, and her body hit the cold, old ground, she saw one last thing. Her face. Allison.
“Allison... She is so beautiful... She's prettier than me... She has always been. Why do I think just now about something so ovbious...?„
She felt her heartbeat slowly stopping. Her eye(s) started closing, and she lost sight. Everything was becoming a confusing mess of feelings and memories inside her mind during those last moments. But there was something missing. Who was she? Alice Angel. The name she used almost all the time. But it was another ridiculous lie to herself. She had to remember. Her real name. And her real life. She heard a soft, gentle voice coming out of someone's mouth.
"I'm sorry, Susie... I really didn't want to do this..."
Susie. That was it. An anwser that was so easy, but so difficoult at the same time. And... That was it? Was that the end of it all? Everyone thought so.
Except for Allison. She had hope. Hope that Alice would come back to accept her mistakes, hope to bring her old friend back. And her determination couldn't be stopped. Not even by death. That's why, when she took the girl's body in her arms to get it to the safehouse, no one was surprised.
...
Susie woke up, with a hard headache. She looked around, trying to remember where she was at. She didn't remember anything from the last few hours. Someone opened the door.
"OH MY GOD YOU'RE ALIVE-!"
Susie rubbed her head.
"Yeah, I think so."
Thomas Connor, also an old coworker. She didn't remember much about him, only that poker face he made all the time. Such a shame they didn't really talk to eachother. Finally, the person she WAS waiting for came in.
"You're... Awake..."
A short silence interrumped the moment.
"Yeah. Hey, Liz."
The younger girl's eyes filled with tears, and jumped to hug her.
"I knew you would come back!"
That moment, full of tears, full of warmth and full of memories... It felt as if it was going to last forever. It was perfect. But of course, nothing is infinite. Not even friendship. That's why they had fallen apart before. But none of them would let that happen again.
