“You shouldn’t be the one asking me that,” Vi murmurs into her neck, and the vibration makes her shiver. “Caitlyn, you can’t be okay right now. I can’t even ask you that, not now. I know I can’t.”
Caitlyn chokes, running her hand along the rough expanse of Vi’s undercut. “Ask me.”
“I can’t.”
“Please,” Caitlyn begs. She’ll catch me, she thinks, almost on reflex. “Please ask me.”

Following Jinx’s attack on Piltover, Caitlyn and Vi pick up the pieces of their shattered world in the wake of civil war and the threat of a Zaun occupation. Grieving but determined, Caitlyn agrees to team up with Vi once again to bring Jinx to justice, and heal their uncertain relationship.
