the authorities haven’t released anything?? something this high profile? all might may not be an active hero anymore but he still is an important figure and they have to know that the public wouldn't be happy without a proper explanation of what exactly happened. there's just-

All Might was a person?? Like he’s not just some fictional case where you get to play detective and figure out all the grisly details, his family and loved ones don’t deserve to have their lives dug into for this

Chitose tears her eyes away from her laptop screen, tapping her pen on her notebook. The pages are adorned with scribbled handwriting, most of which are scratched out with negative comments written alongside them. She shakes her head, muttering, “This is absolutely ridiculous.”
She wouldn’t normally go this route, preferring her usual method of interviewing to get answers. However, Yotsubashi explicitly advised her to stay under lockdown, citing that they might need her for the next step in the Meta Liberation Army’s plans soon enough.
After the news of All Might’s death broke, the nation was in a heightened state of security, with most citizens on lockdown, confined to their houses or workplaces. Any business was to be cleared with the local authorities, and while the members of Shoowaysha Publishing would be able to operate as normal, Yotsubashi insisted that she keep her head down on this one.
She vehemently disagreed, reminding him that it was his own words that inspired her to conduct face-to-face interviews to satisfy her curiosities. After a lengthy discussion, Chitose reluctantly relented, looking up various forms of social media to try to find information regarding All Might’s death.
Unfortunately, so far, the posts she has observed seem to range from grossly incorrect to unhelpful at best.
This is where she has gotten stuck; this method was far less conclusive and very unlikely to win over readers’ hearts. Hell, her heart hasn’t been swayed by any post she has read so far.
She sighs, gently massaging her wrist. Nothing would get done if she doesn’t continue, so she opens a new tab in her browser and continues searching for more sources. There was something that caught her eye in her latest dive into the Twitter trending posts regarding All Might’s death; it seemed very unlikely that the former hero would go down so easily. Even taking into account his frail constitution after his fight with All For One, he has continually shown in public that his instincts are still sharp enough to survive encounters with those that want to hurt him, calling for backup.
She vividly recalls being able to interview him after one of these instances; it was a wonderful article that garnered so many hits and comments that she was overwhelmed. She thinks back fondly on the memory, gaining strength to continue her internet dive in earnest. She can do this, she can find the truth of the matter and assuage both her mind and the publics’ minds.
The most promising thing she finds is the many, many theories that because a knife was spotted on the scene, that it was probably the Hero Killer Stain. Which isn’t saying much, because this theory was filled with holes; it was common knowledge that the Hero Killer killed those who did not embody the ideals of All Might. There was no reason to believe that he would do that, but it would be an amazing scoop if she would be able to figure out he did. She makes sure to circle this bullet point in her notebook.
After about an hour of unfruitful searching, she’s about to give up for a break. “One more, then I’ll take a walk around the office to clear my head,” she tells herself. An All Might fan forum thread pops up under recent posts. Clicking on it, she reads,

IcyShoutoI have seen many theories regarding All Might’s recent passing. While he deserves to have his privacy and not to have his death thrown about for public speculation and entertainment, he also deserves to have his legacy respected. Without knowing what truly happened, I am of the mind that people are going to continually dig into his personal life, and this must be settled to prevent that. He was an honest, earnest man who should deserve to rest easy, without even making mention of the countless deeds he has done for the citizens where he upheld his hero duties.
Please join me within the following Discord server to discuss this and help us figure out what really happened to All Might, so that he and the public can rest easy.

Chitose hums, the pen tapping increasing in frequency. She has not yet considered going outside public sites for discussion, the concept of the chat channel piquing her interest despite the forum being locked instantaneously. She reaches out to IcyShouto in private messages, and receives a response with a link to the server.
Were these people actually children? What would a cereal box have to do with anything? Chitose slams her pen into its holder and resists the urge to create a landmine on her desk equipment. This was a waste of time. Forget what Yotsubashi said, she’s going to go outside and do some interviews. She takes her cell phone, dialing the police station to clear herself for outside work, leaving her laptop open on her desk.
The chat continues to ping even after she’s left.
