Chapter Text
"Raquel?!" Sergio knocked at the door, it's been a while since she walked in. "Are you alright?" He asked worriedly.
"Yeah, don't worry!" Raquel shouted. "I'm alright." She smiled.
"Okay!" Sergio exhaled feeling a bit of relief. "I will wait for you in the helicopter." He smiled and even though he didn't want to, he left Raquel on her own.
He sat at the helicopter. He didn't know what to think, it was only him and Raquel left now since all the others reached their destinations and they could go wherever they wanted. They still called each other and talked to each other though, but they all went to their homes.
It's been a week since everything happened and the last ones who weren't at home were Sergio and Raquel. They had to take care of most of the stuff which, of course, took some time. Finally this day, they managed to finish everything and hopefully return to their paradise.
Raquel was so excited to see Paula and Mariví and even though it didn't look like it, Sergio was, too. He has fallen in love with that little girl and he loved Mariví. He took them as his family and he couldn't imagine not returning home to them.
"Hey." Raquel approached Sergio after a few minutes.
"Hi." He smiled widely as he saw her sitting next to him snuggling her head on his chest. "Is everything okay?" He raised his eyebrows still worried about Raquel's health.
"Yeah, don't worry, I just still didn't process everything." She looked at the ground feeling tears filling her eyes.
"Mi amore." He wiped her tears off. "Soon it will pass, don't worry." He smiled.
"I hope so." She smiled genuinely as she felt his hand rubbing her hair. "It's just..." She sighed as she remembered everything again. "It's just hard to believe that Tokyo isn't here with us..." Her eyes filled with tears again.
"Hey, listen to me." He rubbed her cheek slowly as her head still lay on him. "It's not your fault." She closed her eyes. "If it's someone's fault, then it's mine," he assured her.
"Thank you," she whispered burying her face into his shirt. He just smiled rubbing her hair.
"We can go!" He shouted at the pilot, so he knew.
The helicopter started and the whole ride was silent. Of course, the helicopter made some noise, but it was pretty silent between them. Not because they didn't want to talk to each other, but because Raquel fell asleep in Sergio's arms.
She was laying on him, her face buried in his chest. He felt so lucky. The most beautiful woman, his fiancee, was laying on him. As he was wondering about everything that happened past few days, he remembered their last trip in a helicopter.
They were all there as a family, happy together. When they arrived at their destination, they spent some time together.
They stayed in a small house for a few days and they were all trying to cool off a but after the heist. It was hard for all of them, but they actually managed to have some fun.
One night, when they had a family dinner, something happened that no one expected. All of them were sitting by the table talking. Raquel, of course, sat next to Sergio calmly holding his hand under the table. They were laughing, having fun until one guy from the gang approached them.
"Hey." The young boy smiled as he stood in front of them.
"Hi." Sergio smiled back at him not knowing about his intentions.
"May I..." He took a deep breath to get rid of his nervousness. "May I ask you, Lisboa, for a dance?"
The both of them raised their eyebrows. And after a moment Raquel knew what was going on. The second of silence was soon distracted by others' laughs.
"Why are you laughing?" Matías asked anxiously.
"Nothing." Bogotá tried to calm down from the loud laughter.
"Yeah..." Raquel smiled as she turned her head on Sergio. "Sure."
Sergio looked at her not wanting to let go of her hand, but she was a grown woman, after all, so he had to.
Matías took Raquel's hand and victoriously took her to the dance floor.
"So, how are you doing after the heist?" He smiled and asked trying to do small talk.
"Good, I'm still not over it, but good, how about you?" She smiled somehow trying to piss Sergio off. She needed him to show Matías to who her heart belonged.
"I'm doing just fine." He looked into her eyes.
All of the others were watching them. They watched them for a minute, then they looked at Sergio what he will do about it, then they watched them again. It was as they waited for some drama.
"Hey, I was wondering..." He smiled as he took her hand. "Is the date still on?" He raised his eyebrows nervously waiting for her answer. Raquel giggled and looked at Sergio.
"I don't know." She shrugged feeling his hand touching her waist.
"Well, hopefully, you will know soon." He winked at her and that was the point when she started feeling uncomfortable. He did look nice and he was nice and gentle to her, but she was engaged to someone else. She was engaged to the man she loved.
As everyone saw the wink they gasped. "Go and get your girl," Palermo smirked at Sergio.
"She wants to dance with him..." He exhaled.
"Well, it doesn't seem like it at all," Palermo smirked as he saw Raquel's uncomfortable face.
Sergio looked at them and notice him holding her around her waist, that was enough for him to realize that he had to do something. He stood up leaving Palermo and quietly approached them.
Matías noticed him and smiled. "Professor." He greeted him. "Will you go and dance with us?" His smile slowly disappeared as he noticed that Sergio wasn't in the mood to dance with them at all.
Raquel noticed Sergio and smiled. Her lifesaver. And that what even more lightened up her mood was the fact that he actually decided to take care of her so no one, only him, could be with her in a romantic relationship.
"Would you mind?" Sergio asked. Matías raised his eyebrows as he saw Sergio reaching for Raquel's hand.
"What? No!" He defended himself. "I saw her first." The smile disappeared from his face as well.
"Excuse me?" Sergio raised his eyebrows being slightly confused by Matías' answer.
"I saw her first," Matías repeated not wanting Raquel to go. "That that you're the Professor doesn't mean that you can take any woman and certainly not when I already asked her out." Matías staged.
"Mhm..." Sergio smiled. "And what did she answer when you asked her out?" Sergio exchanged a look with Raquel.
"She said she doesn't know." Matías shrugged angrily.
"Good, that means she is available?" Sergio smirked. Everyone around watched it quietly laughing.
"Poor boy," Palermo whispered into Bogotá's ear.
"Just wait for him to realize." Bogotá laughed.
"What? I said no, I said she is with me." Matías still tried to defend himself.
"Alright, alright." Sergio tried to calm the situation down a little.
"So?" Matías raised his eyebrows. "Will you finally leave us alone?" He looked at Raquel who seemed pretty much charmed by Sergio. He was angry because he could see the spark in her eyes as she looked at him, but he couldn't do anything. He had to make her fall in love with him.
"Well..." Sergio pushed his glasses on his nose. "I will leave you alone when you will let me dance with my fiancee." He smiled as he looked at Raquel.
"Your what?!" Matías raised his eyebrows terrified and confused at the same time.
"His fiancee." Raquel smiled at Sergio as he took her hand. Matías froze. He stayed in silence. In his face were confusion and anxiety. He still didn't understand anything.
"Congrats Professor!" Bogotá sounded like the first one from the crowd. "You didn't tell us you two got engaged." He shouted and all the others cheered.
"Sergio, come here hermano!" Palermo laughed as he walked towards them. "Andrés would be proud of you." He hugged him with tears in his eyes.
Raquel watched them with tears in her eyes. She was so happy, she was so happy he said it out loud. Meanwhile, Matías still stood there not understanding anything that was happening.
"So..." He said and everyone looked at him. "You two are together?" He looked at the ground nervously still somehow hoping they will say no. He wished for Raquel to be single and of course, he hoped that if she wouldn't be taken it wouldn't be a that big embarrassment.
"What do you think?" Bogotá approached him from behind.
"Yes?" Matías asked unsurely.
"Of course, you idiot." He laughed.
"But, but you said she was single." He stood there confused as he watched Sergio moving closer towards Raquel. He already stopped hugging Palermo and took Raquel's hand and pulled her closer to him.
"We were just messing with you." Bogotá shook his head as they both watched the newly engaged couple.
"Can I steal you for a moment?" Sergio took Raquel around her waist pulling her a little bit away from the people.
"But Professor, why to steal me juts for a moment when you can steal me for much longer." She smiled as she rubbed his beard. He chuckled as he led her to some quieter place.
"Look at them." Monica smiled as she came to Matías and Bogotá. "They are so in love." She sighed dreamily.
"Don't tell me we aren't." Denver appeared behind them.
"You tell me." She smiled at him. He took her hand taking her to the dance floor.
"So, why did you want to steal me?" Raquel giggled as they both ran to a little bit quieter place.
"Raquel, I know you didn't imagine telling the gang like this..." Sergio started explaining himself.
"Sergio." Raquel simply smiled rubbing his cheek. "I'm glad you showed him that I'm yours." She smirked as she looked in the direction of Matías. He still stood there looking at the blank. Sergio just smiled, he was so lucky he had this wonderful woman standing in front of him.
"I-I wanted to give you something." He smiled a little bit nervously and took a small box out of his pocket. "In the bank, there wasn't really a way to give you this." Raquel watched him slowly open the box. "I want you to be my proper fiancee with a proper ring." He took the ring out of the box wanting to put it on Raquel's ring finger.
She raised her hand so he could and kept smiling at him. "This is so beautiful." She exhaled once she was wearing it on her hand and looked into his eyes.
"I hope it's at least that what you expected." He adjusted the glasses on his nose.
"It's perfect." She exhaled dreamily. "Thank you." She moved closer to him and soon enough their lips met.
When they came back to the gang everything seemed much calmer. People were celebrating, dancing, singing, drinking, only Matías stood in the corner.
As soon as he spotted the couple he made his way to them. "This won't be good," Raquel whispered into Sergio's ear as she saw Matías making his way to them.
"Don't worry, we will manage it somehow." Sergio smiled and still looking at Matías he took Raquel around her waist and pulled her closer to him. She didn't protest and almost even lay on him.
Matías unsurely walked towards them. He wasn't sure what to say, he just tried to steal Professor's fiancee, he couldn't believe his stupidity. "H-hi," he greeted them nervously.
"Hi." Raquel smiled warmly, but Sergio didn't look happy.
"I-I..." Matías sighed as Sergio raised his eyebrows waiting for him to say something. "I'm sorry..." He looked at the ground. "It just turned me on how she took care of Rio when he didn't want to listen..." Matías sighed.
"You never told me you took care of Rio." Sergio raised his eyebrows looking at Raquel.
"Well, there wasn't much when." Raquel giggled and Sergio chuckled.
"I'm really sorry." Matías looked at them, but when he saw that they were both smiling his nervousness slowly disappeared.
"You're forgiven." Sergio sighed shaking his head. "But if you will ever touch my woman..." Matías tensed.
"Yes." Matías nodded. "I promise I will never try anything like this ever again." The couple laughed.
"Good." Sergio smiled as Raquel squeezed his hand.
"Let's celebrate!" Rio shouted from the crowd. "The Professor is getting married!" They all cheered happily. After some celebration, Sergio looked at Raquel.
"Would you mind?" He asked again taking her hand.
"Of course, not." Raquel smiled putting her arms around his neck. "I can't believe that The Professor asked me for a dance." She smiled as they both walked towards the dance floor.
"I can't believe it either." He chuckled. "But I would do anything to make you happy." They both smiled looking into each other's eyes.
"Then let's just enjoy this moment." Raquel rubbed Sergio's hair. She felt like in a dream. Her man who didn't like dancing at all even learned how to dance because of her. She felt like the happiest woman in the world.
"I would have never thought that he would get married." Palermo sighed standing next to Matías.
"Why?" Matías asked curiously.
"He wasn't that type of man." Palermo chuckled. "He was always just-"
"Womanizer?" Matías cut him off.
"What? No..." Palermo laughed. "He was always so shy around everyone especially around women." He smiled at him. "He was always into books, rather reading than talking, but I must say, Raquel, changed him." He looked at Matías. "Not in a bad way, but I can tell you, she is the only woman he truly loves."
"He loves her?" Matías asked still somehow hoping that he will get a chance.
"Okay, boy, look at them." Palermo pointed at Raquel and Sergio dancing. "You see how he looks at her? This look is love." Palermo sighed and so did Matías.
"I love you Raquel and I will love you forever." Sergio sighed as he saw her sleeping in his arms. It's been a while since they started flying in the helicopter. He rubbed her cheek and without waking up Raquel smiled. That evening was incredible, they enjoyed dancing, drinking, talking and now they were finally going home.
