Donghyuck hates feeling silly and stupid but that's been happening way too often ever since he started dating Yuta.
Sure, Donghyuck is older and more mature compared to when his crush started at 15 but it all falls apart the moment they're together in the same room. They don't even have to be alone, even among their friends all Donghyuck does is act like a fool.
He has dated before, during high school when Yuta was just an unattainable wish, but this is different. It's been years of crushing, years of infatuation and years of yearning that finally culminated in being in an actual, real relationship with the person he's had wanted to hold hands with and kiss for the past seven years.
Donghyuck is not a child anymore, he knows that but he opens his mouth to speak and it's as if he's forgotten how to talk, it feels like he's just a baby. He plans everything to the minimal details but when the time comes, it all falls apart.
Yuta thinks it's funny, teases him about being too in love and Donghyuck can't even argue because it's the truth.
Being with Yuta is like falling in love over and over again, he's always out of breath and dumbstruck.
Donghyuck was so sure he knew everything, thought that dating before and researching the internet on how it all works would be enough, but it's not.
In the end, he's just talking nonsense.
Yuta laughs at him, watches as Donghyuck turns red in embarrassment and reaches out to hold his hand.
