Black Hat growled as he paced back and forth. “How dare they,” he muttered, his claws flexing. How he wanted to rip someone apart right now.

Flug nodded from where he sat on the bed, watching Black Hat pace around the room. “They mocked me on their stupid picture shows. I’m weak?” his tongue flicked out. “They think I’m so easy to defeat and that’s why I’m not fighting them anymore. It won’t do. It just won’t.”

Black Hat threw his arms up in the air as he struggled to keep his form in check. His skin rippled and mouths formed on his hands before disappearing. “They dared to disrespect me. Heros are getting in vain. I ought to show them all their places.”

Flug tilted his head and laughed softly. “Then do it.”

Black Hat froze and turned to his scientist. “What?” he whispered, shocked Flug had spoken.

Flug’s goggles reflected the red light of the bedroom making his expression unreadable. “Show them who they’re messing with. You’re the most powerful villain in the universe. Maybe they need a reminder of who they're messing with.”

Black Hat slowly grinned and nodded. “Yes,” he whispered. “They do need a reminder. It’s been too long since I’ve shown them what I'm capable of.”

“Heros are so stupid messing with an all-powerful being. You can easily crush them like the cockroaches they are. Pests the lot of them.” Flug paused and clenched his fist. “They need a reminder of what they are compared to you. Bugs for you to squash.”

Black Hat preened and straightened his tie. “I could. I could destroy all of humanity if I wanted to. Wipe this snivelling rock off of this solar system.”

“Of course, you could. Humans are nothing compared to you. You could easily destroy the planet and leave humanity nothing more than a story. A story on why you are not to be messed with.”

Black Hat turned to stare at Flug. The strange white pupils on his goggles stared back at him unblinking. “Is everything ok sir?”

Black Hats smile widened and drool dripped down his chin. “You’re wrong.”

“Sir?” Flug asked.

“I’d keep you.”

Flug leaned back and pressed a gloved hand to his chest. “Sir, I'm honoured.” he breathed out.

Black Hat laughed. “You should be. I’m amazing,” he said as he slipped his coat off and laid it over a chair.

Flug nodded quickly. “Yes, you are sir. Absolutely amazing.”

Black Hat slowly approached Flug as the other spoke. He bent down to rest his head on top of Flug’s. “Keep praising me,” he hissed, pressing Flug onto the bed so he could lay on top of him.

Flug nodded as he was moved up onto the bed in a more comfortable position by shadowy tentacles and snuggled by the eldritch horror. No, not snuggled more like a parasite latching onto someone. A parasite that wanted attention. “Well, that hero who started it has nothing on you. Strength and flight. So cliche now. You can do both and more.”

Black Hat purred and pressed closer to Flug. “I can.”

“I mean none of the hero league has anything on you. The only reason they’re here is because you find them amusing. All of us are so lucky you have shown such amazing restraint in not killing us.”

Black Hat nodded and brushed his claws on Flug’s neck. “Continue,” he growled.

Flug squeaked as the claws neared his throat again threatening to strike if he didn't continue his praise. “Of course sir!”
