5 times people thought Lelouch and C.C. were together and 1 time they finally were

Summary:

Set in a world without Geass or codes, the mysterious C.C. transfers into Ashford Academy. She becomes roommates with the leader of the Black Knights, a school athletics collective, Lelouch Lamperouge. Everyone thinks the two are together.

Notes:

Everyone is probably at least a little out of character. I watched this show in three days and then jumped straight into Re;Surrection without any of the recap movies so I might be drawing from both plotlines (it shouldn't really matter too much since this is an AU anyways).

There are probably grammatical errors and thoughts that don't quite make sense. Skip this fic if you're picky about that stuff :)

In case it's not clear from the tags/summary - C.C. is human here and so is Lelouch.

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Chapter 1: Prologue

Chapter Text

As the last teacher proposal for the day was checked and signed, Headmaster Ashford let out a sigh of relief. Though his many students were no doubt getting antsy about their exams to round out the calendar year, he could start looking into what the future of Ashford Academy would bring. His musings about increasing the tree cover was interrupted by a knock on his door.

“Come in,” Ashford said as he set his paperwork aside for his secretary to file. The tarnished brass handle noiselessly turned and the door swung smoothly open.

“If you could please close the door after yourself,” he said to the student that had to transfer at such a strange time.

Once the door had shut, Ashford gestured for the green haired girl to sit down and cleared his throat. “I am Headmaster Ashford and I welcome you to Ashford Academy. I understand you prefer to be called C.C., is that right?”

Noting the slight incline of her pale chin he continued. “Your timing is a little unfortunate. You may know that our students are set to begin their exams next week, so there will be no classes or other activities until afterwards. As you are just transferring in, I cannot have you take formal exams with the other students. As such, you may do as you wish until classes start up again.”

“That will not be an issue,” said C.C. as she spoke for the first time, “my letter said that I would be living on campus, is that correct?”

“Yes. For unconventional circumstances we allow it. You are set to be housed in the Student Council Clubhouse alongside two siblings. Any questions?”

“No, thank you.”

“You may head there now to unpack. My secretary should have the paperwork you’ll need. Included is a map to find your way to the house. Enjoy your time before classes start.”
