"I hate the sea, I hate boats, I fucking hate you Seo Changbin!!!, and whoever had the fucking idea of creating these monstrosities!!! ".Seungmin shouts as his hands cling to the edge of the boat and tries to contain his growing nausea that the tide movement caused.
He couldn't believe the great Kim Seokjin did this as a hobby.
"How much longer are you going to cuss the world Kim Seungmin?. I have to take at least a load to the port today if i want to rest for the next two weeks; so if you don't start working right now I'm gonna throw you into the fish net~." Says the annoying (but attractive) voice of Lee Minho.
The clear mocking in his voice has Seungmin turning his head to glare at him, only to find a disgusting (and a little cute) smirk adorning his face.
Now, if someone had told Seungmin that he would spend his winter vacations working to pay for a fire that he had caused in the hotel his friend's dad owned, he would've smacked them right in the face and told them to stop doing drugs.
But now, he finds himself rewinding in his memories and thinking about how he's gotten himself into this mess.
Technically; it all started when Changbin told him his plans to go to australia for the coming winter break.
"I'm gonna miss you so bad minnie!!!". He says while holding seungmin in a bone breaking hug."I feel so guilty for leaving you all alone, because; how are you going to survive without the great Seo Changbin by your side huh?".
This has Seungmin exaggeratedly rolling his eyes just to annoy Changbin, and he succeeds when he hears a few dramatic huffs coming from him.
"You know what? this is for the best, during my absence you'll finally realize how much you love me -Changbin assures with a triumphant smile- "and hopefully you'll learn to appreciate me more. Now; be a good friend and kiss me goodbye". he says while making grabby hands towards Seungmin.
"Oh shut up, with you gone I'll have time to relax for the fist time in my life ever since I met you", he laughs while putting his hands in front of Changbin's mouth in order to stop his attempts to kiss him.
Then, Seungmin throws himself in the bed with a big simile on his face, but the moment is ruined by a sharp pain appearing in his left arm; just as he hears Changbin fake cries.
"How can you be so mean to me Kim Seungmin!!!". He shouts-at the same time he rises his closed fist to punch Seungmin again.
"You better stop, before I murder that doll you have in your bed"-Seungmin threatens.
"Oh, is that so?.Touch dwaekki, and I'm gonna rip all of your Kim Seokjin posters"- at this Seungmin gasps. "don't you dare bring Jin into this".
Changbin laughs before continuing."Ok ok, I'll leave him alone- he raises his hands in a sign of peace -"but seriously, what are you doing this winter break?".
Seungmin shrugs."Well,obviously I'm staying here , I don't have enough money to go anywhere else".
This has Changbin thinking for a moment before he speaks again. "Well, I said it would be better if I leave you here; but I don't have anyone to bother in Australia, and you know I suck at English sooo.... would you like to come with me?"-he asks.
"I just said I'm too broke to travel anywhere in korea Changbin, how do you expect me to buy a plane ticket to Australia and pay for lodging, food, etc.?".
"And I heard you, but you would be working as my translator, so my dad will cover all the expenses as a payment for your services. Let me ask again; do you want to come with me?".
Seungmin contemplates the offer for a moment but he still wasn't fully convinced.
"I don't know, I'm not even that much of a travel person".
Sensing his uncertainty, Changbin decides to bribe him with his major weakness; so he turns around and pretends to play with his dwaekki plushie as he speaks again.
"Come on, don't tell me you wouldn't like to go to the sea when Jin loves it; you can even do that challenge of his new song you showed me the other day". His technique has the desired effect when he senses seungmin moving around the bed to face him directly.
"And , you're studying languages!!, it's a great opportunity to gain some work experience while having fun. It's a win-win situation for you" -he adds in case Seungmin still has doubts.
Honestly, Seungmin doesn't have anything better to do and a change of scenery would be nice for him. "When you put it like that, it sounds very appealing"- Like changbin said it's a win-win for him, there isn't a good reason to reject his offer."Okay, I'll go with you.Let me go home to pack my things so we can leave tonight".
Seriously, what could go wrong?.
