   Summary

Each and every summer as he grows up, a truth blooms deep in Sam Wilson’s chest, a truth as sticky as those red-white-and-blue firecracker popsicles that he only gets when he can spend his own change on the ice cream truck. A truth as humid as the steam near the docks, making his glasses fog up in the morning until he’s old enough for contact lenses. A truth as perennial and incessant as the arrival of the sound of peepers and cicadas in the evening.

Here’s the truth, every year: Bucky Barnes is more annoying than the year before.
