Summary
Steve and Herobrine have been trapped in a seemingly unending cycle of battle with the Ender Dragon for countless years. Complications always arise during each battle, resulting in the Dragon’s continued existence and threat to the Overworld. Notch finally decides to join them for a final battle, but it all goes wrong, resulting in Notch trapped in the End.
Steve and Herobrine regroup in the Overworld, but Herobrine must ask Alex for help when unexpected events force his hand. Eventually, Herobrine, Steve, Alex, and Notch find themselves in the End, finally hoping to put a stop to the Dragon and its plans once and for all.
...But there’s always a complication.

Unique fic with a neat twist! Cool things slingading does that are different from many other Mimecraft fics(INCLUDES SPOILERS):
-Herobrine is not inherently evil nor did he become evil because of past trauma. We love to see a different Herobrine backstory. Plus, he’s generally pretty chill and not super formal or full of rage and hatred all the time, which is also nice
-Alex is not usually factored into the whole relationship between Herobrine, Steve, and Notch, at least not in the more intimate way Herobrine and Steve are, so to see her have a personal relationship with Notch is pretty interesting
-Notch is a pretty awful dude but the fact that he genuinely had the best of intentions and had good chemistry with the main cast makes him different from other Notches. It’s also quite tragic because he could have SO EASILY seen the error of his ways, but he was blinded by his own prejudice against the End simply because it was unknown

“I thought you said you had this under control!” Alex yells, running desperately from a group of pigmen chasing after her. Their raised gold swords barely miss her as she sprints away from them.
Herobrine holds his stomach, a residual grin on his face as his laughter fades. He takes a deep breath and stands up from the steps leading down into the courtyard. “I'm pretty sure I never said that.”
