As Natasha finishes tying her pointe shoes, she knows exactly what she wants to dance to. She’s going to do it for fun, because seeing the dancer on TV the other day inspired her.
“FRIDAY? Play the Nutcracker”
Natasha puts her weight on her left leg, opens her right knee and shifts her leg behind, big toe to the ground.
The music starts, she steps six times with open knees then lifts her left leg, foot at shoulder’s height. Piqué, then short and quick steps.
Tendu, jump in place, then the fairy’s carillon starts. She smiles; it’s a nice feeling.
