Chapter Text
There were a few things/people in life Andy loves most in the world, one of which was lying next to her resting peacefully, without a care in the world, ‘As it should be,’ Andy thought to herself.
It never ceases to amaze her how impossibly magical this was, how normal it feels to her, as if they have been doing this forever and not solely eight years, ’Should’ve been ten by now,’ she grumbled internally.
Although she had thought back at the start of their relationship they had wasted precious time, she knew now they needed it to work through the dynamics of entering a relationship with long-lasting ramifications: the girls, the difference in age, status, finances, amongst others.
Shaking her head, Andy slowly rolls onto her side, her breath catching in her chest, awed once again at the absolute privilege it is to share her life with this remarkable woman.
A sigh of contentment escapes her as she reaches out and gently caresses the features she knows more intimately than her own skin.
It wasn’t the first time she had done this and to her chagrin she had been caught on numerous of occasions over the years gazing longingly at her wife and could not help sighing.
It never grew old and she often prays it never will.
”I love you so much,” she whispers reverently, hoping not to disturb the sleeping beauty.
”As I do you,” Andy hears faintly, the words entrenching themselves in her heart. Her face beams at the response and she snuggles pulling Miranda closer, basking in the love so freely given and received.
”Honesty,” Miranda huffs as Andy tries to fit her body against Mirandas’, until there’s no room between them. “Comfortable now?” she asks after lifting her arm up allowing Andy to snuggle with a smile on her face.
”Umm hmm,” Andy replies softly, rubbing her cheek against Mirandas’ breast as the steady heartbeat fills her ear, slowly lulling her back to sleep.
”Sleep well my angel,” Miranda whispers as she places a kiss on Andreas’ head sighing contentedly.
