Work Text:
It's already past nine in the afternoon. Changbin and you are lying on the couch in your little apartment when suddenly his phone starts ringing. As fast as he could he stops the alarm and looks at you with big eyes.
“Sorry for this.”
“What was it anyway?” He coughs and looks away. “What?”, you ask confused.
“It was my alarm for the gym.” Now you know why he looked away.
“So you want to go to the gym even though we have a movie date night?” You question, feeling kinda sad.
“No that's… that's not it. I made the alarm before we decided to have a date night. I don't need to go today”, he tries but you are already standing up.
“Yah!” He grabs your hand. “Don't be mad, please.” You can't hold it back anymore and start to smile. Changbin then gives you a death stare.
"I'm not mad, Binnie. I'm just getting ready." He looks at you surprised.
"You what?"
"Getting ready? I will come with you."
"You will what?" He is still more than surprised.
"You want to go to the gym, I want to spend time with you so we are going together.”
“But you never go to the gym”, he tries to argue but you just roll your eyes and then look at him.
“Binnie I know that but I still wanna spend time with you.” Now he starts to smile.
“Alright but you have to promise me that you will work out with me. You will try everything I'm gonna do.” For a moment you just stare at him, weighing up whether you should do it or not.
“You know what? I think it will be worth it. We didn't have much time together in the last few weeks. And maybe I will even like it.” Changbins face lights up and he finally gets up from your couch.
“Let's go.”
And a few minutes later you two leave your flat, walking towards Changbins favourite gym. Gentle you take his hand.
“Yah! Why is your hand so cold?”, he asks loudly and looks at you.
“Because you didn't hold it! Of course it's cold”, you reply, trying to hold your laugh back.
“I hate you, I swear.”
“I love you too, Binnie.” You can see how his cheeks are getting all red. He tries to hide his big happy smile but fails. You pieck him into his red cheek, smiling but not saying anything. Normally you would tease him for being so flattered but you still want to go to the gym with him.
You two walk in silence till the gym but you love it. Being with Changbin just feels safe and comfortable.
“Are you ready?”, he asks, not flattered anymore. He looks at you inquiring. You know, would you say you changed your mind, he would go home with you but you still want it. So you give him a smile and drag him with you inside the building. He starts to giggle at your behaviour.
You lock away your things and walk towards the training equipment. You now feel kinda nervous.
“First let's warm up a bit”, Changbin says, while looking for a free studio.
“Warm up? What's that?”, you ask jokingly. For a second Changbin stares at you in disbelief.
“That was a joke, right?”
“It was a joke. You know I do Yoga, right? We do warm ups too.” He rolls his eyes, while you just smile at him with your sweetest smile. You two warm up before you start to work out.
Or more like before he starts to work out. For the first few minutes you are just standing next to him and watching what he is doing.
“Are you training to become a statue?”, he asks teasingly, looking up to you. You roll your eyes but then walk towards the treadmill. It's the safest option for the moment. Again and again you feel Changbins glance on your back.
After what felt like hours, Bin stops next to you.
“It's boring without you next to me”, he whines.
“You go often just by yourself.”
“True but when you are here I want to workout together.”
You start to smile and stop the treadmill.
“Then what do you want to do now?”, you ask, leaning your head to one side. For a moment Changbin goes quiet and looks at you with big eyes. You start giggling and shake your head. Softly you slap his cheek and then steal a short kiss from him. “I love you”, you whisper next to his ear. You hear him sigh.
“You're gonna kill me someday, I swear.” All you can do is to give him a big smile and a little wink.
“What about I show you a bit of yoga?” Changbin stares at you surprised.
“I don't think I am good at it”, he tries but you just shake your head smiling.
“You don't need to be good at it, Binnie. It's about fun not about being perfect. I'm far from perfect too.” For a moment, he hesitates but then he nods slightly.
Together you walk towards the little studios the gym has in the back. Luckily because it's already late most of the studios are empty. Changbin walks into one with a big mirror.
“Is this one good?” Lightly you nod.
“Alright. Let's begin with a bit of stretching. We will start on the ground and then work our way up.” As you look at Changbin he has a smile on his lips that you have never seen on him.
“Whatever you say”, he giggles walking up to you. You give him an amused look and then sit down. He follows you and together you start the stretching. You are quite surprised that he is kinda good at it but then you remember that he does that everytime before and after they dance.
It feels good to do Yoga with Changbin together. He makes you laugh and it's just nice to spend time together.
Suddenly you hear him cry out for help. You look at him and see him laughing but still struggling to do the pose you showed him.
“What did you do?”, you ask, trying to hold your laugh back but failing.
“Yah! Stop laughing and help me”, he whines still struggling.
You release the pose and step next to him. Careful you place your hands on his body and guide him into the pose.
“And don't forget to breathe. The breath is the most important thing in yoga”, you whisper. Now you can feel how Changbin lets out a breath he kept in for too long. “You are doing great.” You see him chuckle.
“It does not feel like I'm doing great.” Now you also start to giggle. “Moving on. You can release the pose.” Changbin lets out a happy sigh.
“I didn't think yoga would be so exhausting”, he huffs, as he stands next to you again. You nearly roll your eyes.
“And you made fun of me when you learned that I do yoga”, you say as you tickle him. He backs away but you just follow him.
“No stop!”, he shouts between laughing.
After a few minutes you slowly stop. Changbin is standing against the wall and you in front of him. Just now you realise who you two are standing. It seems like Changbin realises it too because he starts to smirk. You roll your eyes but let out a surprised noise when he pulls you closer.
“Did you do that on purpose?”
“You wouldn't believe me when I say, it wasn't on purpose, am I right?” Now he starts to laugh and you are reminded why you fell in love with him back then. Softly you wrap your arms around his neck and lean in a bit. Immediately he stops laughing and just stares at you. Now it's your turn to smirk.
“I didn't do it on purpose but it's not like it's a bad thing”, you whisper and give Changbin an affectionate kiss. He lets out a low sigh and pulls you closer. You smile into the kiss.
“I love you”, he whispers as you back away a bit. Your whole body starts to feel warm and safe. You start to smile.
“I love you too, Binnie.”
“I think we are finished here. Let's go home, what do you think?” Lightly Changbin nods, while taking your hand.
“Let's go home”, he whispers, giving you one last kiss.
