It was another busy weekday for Ikjun.
He was still in his home as he woke up that morning. He was alone in his bed since Songhwa had the night shift last night.
Whenever she has to take the shift, he wants to be in the hospital with her so he could remind her to take things easy and he could remind her to rest when she needs to.
It has always been hard for him to leave her in the hospital, but since they're both busy with their work and at home, they both need to get their rest as much as they can.
His first thought upon waking up is Songhwa. He misses her so much already.
Ikjun has it so bad for her, he's so inlove. And he doesn't want to stop falling deeper.
Everyday, he always thanks the heavens that he's given another chance with her, and that she also feels the same way for him.
How lucky must he be, he mused.
These days, even if they're already married, he's still the same clingy and loving boyfriend that he had been. He's always there for her and he never forgets to take care of her.
Since he still have a long and busy day, he immediately decided to get up from the bed and wash himself up in the bathroom.
Afterwards, he went outside their bedroom and he could already see Wang Imo preparing their breakfast.
He greeted her a good morning and she bowed to him and smiled.
Then, he went to Uju's room to wake him up.
He went closer to his bed and said in a still sleepy voice,
”Good morning, Uju-yah! You should wake up now, Mone is waiting for you at school.”
Uju got up from bed and he kissed his father on his cheeks.
Even if he's now a big boy, he still shows his affection to his father. He's still the same appa-holic baby boy that he used to be, and Ikjun's grateful that his baby is still expressive with his love.
Ikjun went outside Uju's room as Uju washed up and got ready on his own. Since he's now a big boy, he's a lot more mature and he could do most things on his own.
He now went to his little girl's bedroom to wake her up. Upon seeing her, he thinks about how pretty she is and he's happy that she looks so much like Songhwa. A real sleeping beauty, indeed. He's so glad she's his.
He then muttered in a sing-song voice,
”Eunha-yah~, love, let's now eat. Jaljasseo?”
She woke up and smiled upon seeing her dad.
He carried her up from the bed and she slings her arms around his father, as she buried her face at the crook of his neck.
”Eung, Appa. I slept well..” she replied as she hugged him tighter and as she rubbed her eyes with her left hand.
Ikjun is now dancing with Eunha as he sways from side to side, doing random steps with his feet.
How the club rat who always sings and dances had turned into this kind of loving and devoted father. He's such a ddal-pabo, and he's proud of it. He doesn't want to stop.
This change is still surprising for him, but he believes that this is the best life there is.
He replied to his galaxy,
”Wow, that's great~... Keunde, Eunha-yah, you're getting heavier as the day goes by, eo? Did you get your eating habits from eomma?”
”Hahahaha, I might have, but that's because I'm growing, Appa.”
”Wah~ you're smart like your oppa even if you're still a toddler. But, my love, even if you grow up, promise me that you'll always be clingy like this, okay? I'm gonna miss carrying you every morning just like what I'm doing right now.”
”Eung, Appa. I promise... Saranghaeyo, Appa!!” the little girl told him cheerfully, as he kissed her father's cheeks repeatedly.
”Aww how are you so sweet, eo? Nado saranghae, love. More than you could ever imagine. I'm so happy you're my daughter...”
”Kekeke... keundae, appa, please put me down now, your arms might hurt since I'm now heavy...”
”Aigoo, arasseo, you're so thoughtful... Can you please stop growing up, I feel so nostalgic I think I'm gonna cry...” he whined as he kissed her cheek and put her down.
Her daughter laughed at his antics.
Then they went outside with their hands intertwined.
This kind of morning has been ordinary and mundane thus far, but it's something he always wants to start his day with.
He feels so happy once he sees his little family first thing in the morning. How he wishes every morning is like this, albeit how ordinary it is. He always feels so grateful for this, and he always feels so special and loved.
His thoughts was interrupted when Uju Oppa called out to them,
”Appa, Eunhayah, the food is now ready. Pap meokja!!”
Because of Uju, he was instantly reminded of Songhwa. And this makes him miss her more that he wants to go to the hospital right this instant.
And as if on cue, Eunha asked Ikjun about her just as they were about to sit,
”Appa, where's eomma? Is she already in the hospital? I miss her already...”
Ikjun smiled at her and replied,
”Eo, Eunha-yah. Eomma hadn't gone home yesterday night because she has a surgery. I miss her too...”
He then turned to Uju and asked him,
”Uju-yah, what will you do after school today? Will you have a playdate with Mone?”
Uju told his Appa,
”No, Appa. Mone said they have something to do so I guess I'd go home early. Waeyo, Appa?”
Ikjun smiled at him, ”Aniya, it's nothing.”
But little did he know that Ikjun is planning something at that moment.

Ikjun is now ready to go to work and he's now in his car. He called Songhwa and she's now in the speaker mode of his car.
When she received the call, Ikjun immediately chirped,
”Songhwa-yah! Bogoshipo~ I'm now going to work kekeke. How are you? How was your night shift?”
”Eo, hi Ikjun-ah. Be careful with driving! I'm fine, I'm just tired because of the surgery, that's all. Later this day, I'd be staying till 8pm and I have outpatients and back to back surgeries... Will we go home together?”
”Aigoo... you have a long and busy day... good luck with work, take it easy! Don't forget to take breaks and to eat!”
”It's alright! It's not that busy. I guess I'm fine now that you called. Also, how are the kids?”
”The kids did well, you don't have to worry about anything. Eiiih, are you saying you got energized because of my voice? ㅋㅋㅋ you love me too much. Nado saranghae yeobo!!!”
”De~ That's great. I want to go home and see Eunha now ㅠㅠㅠ... Ah mwolla! stop with the teasing, Ikjun-ah. Bye.”
”Yah, I'm just kidding hahaha bye, love you!

The day went by in a blur for Songhwa due to the busyness of the hospital. The next thing she knew, it was already dark and she's done with her work for the day.
She now can't wait to go home. She came out of the OR as she fishes out her phone to text Ikjun.
She received a text from him saying,
”Hi, love! Let's go home together. I'll be waiting in your office. <33”
She texted him saying,
”Eo, arasseo... I'm so tired i wanna go home already... TT“
He replied,
”Aaaw TT you did well today, my love... I'm proud of you!! hwaiting eomma!”
Songhwa smiled as she turned off her phone. Then she went inside her office and she was surprised with what she had seen and heard.
As she opened the door to her office, Uju called out,
”Eommaaaa! Surprise!!“
This was something she had least expected upon coming in her office. She only thought that Ikjun would be the only one inside it.
But just like how he came in her life, she was also gifted with Uju and Eunha at the same time.
This made her smile unconsiously. Her heart is full.
She noticed how Eunha, who is currently being carried by Ikjun, had tried going down and she's now running to her.
Songhwa squatted down and she hugged her very tightly.
”Eomma, I missed you sooo much! Appa went to our house and said he wants to surprise you with our presence. So we went here to the hospital.” Eunha proudly narrated to her mom.
”Aigoo, keuraesseo, uri Eunha? Thank you for coming to see me, I missed you too!!”
Uju also came to her and kissed her cheek.
”De, Eomma. Nado bogoshipoyo~” Uju told her.
”I love you both~~~ Eomma really appreciates it!” Songhwa told them.
Ikjun went to them and said,
”Yeobo annyeong! Won't you kiss me too?”
Songhwa told him,
”Aigoo~ aren't you too old enough to be clingy towards other people?”
He then pouted and whined dramatically,
”Hmph. Now that your two babies are here, you don't appreciate me anymore.”
He then turned her back against them, as the three looked at one another, with laughter bubbling in their throat.
She then stood up and wrapped her arms around Ikjun's waist, in a form of a backhug.
Ikjun was touched by this, it's not everyday that Songhwa is clingy and loving towards him, in the hospital, no less.
He hid his smile by biting his lower lip.
She told him,
”I missed you too. Yeobo saranghae~ Gomawo for this. Gomawo for taking care of the children while I'm working. I love you~”
He replied,
”Nado saranghae!”
This made Songhwa smile and become happy. Ikjun truly makes her laugh in every way.
And just like that, all the fatigue and lethargy of the day simply went away. This had truly made her day.
For Songhwa, they are the best pick-me-up for her and she's so grateful to have them in her life.
