   Summary

“I just wanted a night out,” Kira finally managed. “I’m sorry. I just wanted to feel normal for one night. I missed home.” Home, where music was loud and harsh and not at all likely to enchant her into killing herself. Home, where picking an apple from a tree wouldn’t cause her to waste away, longing for that taste for the rest of her life. Home, where at least Kira knew what dangers to expect. Or she thought she did.
