Tobirama's No Good, Very Bad Day

Summary:

It took Tobirama everything in his body to not throw his hands into the air, scream, and curse out everybody in the immediate vicinity. Instead he begrudgingly picked up his damaged phone, threw it into his back backpack and went home.

Tobirama hated his life at that moment.

Notes:

so for 2022 I've decided I'm gonna try and write every day. To do so I came up with doing a rare pair challenge, where each day I write and post for different pairings.

Big thanks to the people in the Kisame's Corner Discord for helping come up with 365 different rare pairs. Most Definitely wouldn't have been able to do it without you guys <3

Unless noted stories will not be related to one another.

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

Tobirama wasn’t having a good day.

Anything that could have gone wrong did.

Tobirama knew he had bad luck but he always wondered why the bad luck couldn’t stagger itself out and make all the shifty things happen on different weeks. No usually it all happened within the same week and more times than not the same day.

Hashirama would not stop pouting anytime he came near him and refused to tell the reason, Toka was in the hospital due to a persistent cough that wouldn’t go away, Izuna was mad at him for some reason or another, he spilled boiling hot coffee on his favorite shirt and burned his chest a bit, and he lost his wallet that held a little bit of cash, some cards, and his ID.

As the bad day carried on all Tobirama wanted was to go home and cuddle with his loudmouth boyfriend. Madara Uchiha was his saving grace from the little demon known as depression. Madara always knew how to make his day better and less shitty, whether it was from cooking his favorite meal or making jokes at others expense or just letting him vent about the little things Madara always made it better. Unfortunately his saving grace left him for the day. Madara texted him that he had a very important, top secret job that he couldn’t miss out on so Tobirama had to spend today by himself. Tobirama was so frustrated with Madara because today of all days he had to accept a new job. It was their anniversary. Tobirama knew Madara didn’t have a good memory but he was usually so good with remembering the important dates like birthdays, holidays, and up until that day anniversaries. Instead of shooting Madara a text back Tobirama angrily put his phone in his back pocket. He didn’t place it far enough so it fell out his pocket and onto the concrete face first, completely shattering the screen.

It took Tobirama everything in his body to not throw his hands into the air, scream, and curse out everybody in the immediate vicinity. Instead he begrudgingly picked up his damaged phone, threw it into his back backpack and went home.

Tobirama hated his life at that moment.

He ran to his shared one room apartment and angrily shoved in his key in the door. He threw it open with enough force to slam into the wall creating a small hole in the plaster behind it.

“Oh for the love of all that is holy and unholy.” He whispered to himself.

He gently shut the door despite the urge to slam it and placed his forehead against wood. He takes a few deep calming breaths before he tensed. Soft music was playing in the background. He turned around and took stock of the room. Rose petals littered the floor leading to the bedroom in an organized path, fake candles lighting the way in the dark hallway.

With a questioning tilt of his head Tobirama followed the path leading to the closed bedroom door and placed his hand on the knob. He slowly turned it and pushed the door open. The sight that greeted his eyes was amazing. Even more fake candles cast a gentle, lazy like glow around the room, rose petals laid this way and that way on the floor in a messy yet somehow organized pattern. In the center of the room on the king size bed was Madara in all his (naked) glory, (the only thing that preserved his modesty was a sheet), even more rose petals surrounded him, a rose in his mouth, a wicked smile on his face and ‘come hither’ eyes that he used only in the bedroom (or the office if Hashirama wasn’t around.)

“Madara...? I thought you had an important, top secret, absolutely couldn’t miss even if the world was ending job?” Tobirama whispered, unwilling to break the spell that seemed to be casted in the room.

Madara removed the flower from his mouth and mumbled back, “What’s it look like Baby Boy. I’m on it right now.”  He quickly placed the flower back in his mouth and motioned for Tobirama to come closer.

Tobirama could do nothing but smile at Madara. Tobirama thinks to himself that this was probably the sweetest thing Madara has ever said and will ever say to him in the near future.

Tobirama took a step closer to his lover.

“Happy anniversary Madara.”

“Happy anniversary baby boy.”
