FRESHMAN TRANSFERS (FOURTH YEAR), 1974 to 1975
Ilvermorny to Hogwarts.
June 16, 1974
Dear Headmaster Albus Dumbledore of Hogwarts,
It is an honor to have such students allowed at such a fine school. Ilvermorny does hope that these children will not be a big disruption, but a big surprise. If you would like these students to come back next year, or have a student replace another, let me know immediately.
I understand that these children will possibly be put to more danger. I’ve picked these select ten students to transfer as they are all gifted in one way or another. Also because I believe they deserve this chance, and will not be a problem to you. My point being, they will be an advantage for your mission.
I have attached information on students transferring. I hope it will help. If more information is wanted/needed, list what is needed and I will have no trouble giving it to you. I do hope your fourth years aren’t too overwhelmed with the new students joining. I hope to do this again soon.
Once again, thank you for this opportunity. I will see you on September 1st.

Thursday, August 29, 1974
It was one day before heading to Ilvermorny, and three to Hogwarts. Jude couldn't believe her chances. Over half of the students at Ilvermorny had applied to transfer to Hogwarts, and only ten had been accepted, and they were all freshmen. Jude thought that was weird, but she couldn't care less. Her parents were excited; not nervous at all. After all, it was just a different school. She would be gone the same amount of time as she would be gone from Ilvermorny.
New school, new students. It was the same thing she experienced the first time going to Ilvermorny. Oh god, she was gonna have to get sorted. How did Hogwarts do theirs?
All Jude could think about was how amazing this was going to be.

Friday, August 30, 1974
Jude was now in the gymnasium of her current school, yawning as the Moon was rising. Jude and her family had taken the same way to Ilvermorny as the students normally would; by train. Tomorrow, she would be in London, getting her stuff, and just the day after that, she would be at Hogwarts.
Her first day at her new school would be a full Moon, but luckily, she didn't have to transform. Jude was a Tribrid; a witch, werewolf, and vampire. By now, she knew how to control her urges as a vampire, but she was still moody as her wolf self would be. She had triggered both species, but her sister, Evelyn, had not, making Jude the first full Tribrid.
Jude was now standing in the girls' group with her two friends, Ruth and Sylvana. She was so happy they were chosen for this, as Jude didn't want to be alone.
"Okay, boys and girls, welcome! I'm so excited you were offered and were chosen for this opportunity. By now, you kids should know right between wrong, but don't be afraid to cause a little mischief." Ilvermorny's principal spoke with a chuckle.
A boy whose name Jude knew as Jace raised his hand.
"Yes, Jace?"
"Excuse me for asking, but why do we even have the opportunity to transfer? Aren't Hogwarts people and Ilvermorny people forbidden to speak or interact? And why are we all freshmen?"
All ten students went to look at their principal, waiting for an answer for questions that were never answered.
"MACUSA and the British Ministry of Magic thought this would be a good opportunity. You are all such gifted and wonderful students that you were chosen! We thought it would be easier just to send students from one grade level, to make it less overwhelming for every grade. And, you still have so much to learn! Just entering "high school" could be good at a different school." Ms. Lambkins answered with a shake in her voice.
She was lying, maybe partially, but Jude had heard it. Maybe she was just nervous, but this made Jude nervous as well. She searched her principal's mind, just for a moment for an answer.
She didn't like what she saw.
A conversation between the Heads of the schools, discussing the future of Hogwarts with a war forming. Hogwarts needed help from powerful and smart students, and Beauxbatons and Durmstrang refused, saying this was their war that they needed to fight. Ms. Lambkins had only accepted because of pity, and because she knew her students' potential.
A small gasp left Jude's mouth as she left Ms. Lambkin's mind. She wasn't there for a random opportunity - She was there for war .
Should she tell the others? She didn't know. She knew that she would be going into Hogwarts, confident with a motive.
"Well, I'll give you all twenty minutes to make sure you have everything and to say goodbyes." Principal Lambkins said as she left the gym. A girl with brunette straight hair and sharp eyes named Elyse was sobbing in her parents' arms. Jude's parents were talking with Flynn's parents, as they were related. Evelyn had ventured off with their parents, and all Jude had were Ruth and Sylvana.
Jude had made her way to Flynn and the rest of the boys, Ruth and Sylvana following.
"Hey, cuzzo. How are you feeling about going to Hoggy-warts together?" Jude asked, hooking her arm around Flynn's shoulder. He had pushed Jude's arm off, "I'm feeling... excited and nervous."
"Pretty sure we're all feeling the same thing!" Sylvana exclaimed.
"Definitely. I'm so fucking nervous, I probably won't be able to say my name once we're there!" A boy named Charles responded. Everyone laughed.
"What are you guys most excited about?" A girl named Haven asked, walking up next to Charles. She had just finished saying goodbye to her family.
"The people! And accents!" Ruth replied before anyone else, jumping a little. Everyone laughed.
"I bet Sylvana is gonna fall in love with some British boy!" A boy named Freeman bet.
"In all honesty, I probably will." Sylvana admitted.
"Hi guys!" Elyse was done saying goodbye to her family, and came over to chat along with the group. "What are you guys talking about?"
"Hog-wash, of course!" A boy named Zachary responded. Everyone laughed again.
The remaining people whose families hadn't left yet were called to say goodbye and to check luggage.
"I'm gonna miss you, Jude. So much." Her mom wept while hugging her. Jude hugged her back. Her dad had said goodbye, and so had Evelyn. This is it. She thought. I'm going off to Hogwarts.
Thirty minutes had passed, and the students were on a flying bus in the night sky. Zachary had made countless "The Magic School Bus" jokes, it was annoying. But eventually, everyone fell asleep.
