Jungkook’s agitation started one November night when he gets up to get a midnight snack after gaming for hours and sees a faint light from Seokjin’s room . Seokjin sleeps early , he doesn’t stay up all night like him of course he needs the beauty sleep to look perfect not that Jungkook wouldn’t love Seokjin with pimples on his face , he will always remain the most beautiful boy in his eyes but seokjin likes to sleep in pure darkness . When it happens once he doesn’t bat an eye but when he sees Seokjin’s lights on for the 10th time in two weeks it’s a little suspicious .
When he looks at the entrance he sees Yoongi’s shoes and well that shouldn’t be so surprising , they are best friends and understand each other , they are probably drinking and talking about their problems but jungkook’s just curious maybe he would just peek a little say hi ask if they needed blankets and leave right away . That’s what he was going to do , see if they are comfortable and say hi and then leave but obviously that’s not what happened .
As Jungkook tries to drink his lemon kombucha he hears soft moans from seokjin’s room , now he’s worried something has happened to his hyung maybe he drank too much and needs to puke and Jungkook’s just worried so he puts his bottle down and goes towards the room and he turns the knob and peeks –
Well umm what happens next is not something Jungkook must have ever dreamt of not even in his nightmares . What he sees is Seokjin sitting on Yoongi’s lap and kissing along his neck with the faint colored lights on . At first he doesn’t want to believe it maybe it’s not Yoongi maybe it’s just some one night stand , Seokjin is an adult and he can be with anyone but Jungkook’s lovesick mind filled with jealousy and rage doesn’t quite have the time to rationalize his thoughts so he runs to his bathroom and goes inside turns the shower on till the heat from his body has calmed down .
Once he has the energy to , he leaves the shower changes into his PJ’s , switches off his game , finishes the rest of the kombucha brushes his teeth and goes to sleep .
When he wakes up the next morning , he pretends yesterday was just a dream he had because he was tired . It’s easy to lie to your brain sometimes than to face heartbreak . But when he steps out to get some cereals and finds Yoongi sitting on the dining table eating eggs and scrolling through his phone , he is forced to accept reality .
There’s a huge lump in his throat and Jungkook wants to cry and also scream a little but what he does instead is grabs a cold bottle of water goes to his room and calls Jimin .
Jimin . Jimin is probably the only hyung who would understand the intensity of what Jungkook was feeling right now. Jimins on his treadmill as he sees his phone ringing , he pauses , steps down and answers “goodmorning baby bun –” “hyung I need you , i am coming to your place in 20 minutes please be there , bye ”
Jungkook wears his running shoes , grabs his headphones and steps out. When Jungkook is feeling too much he needs to burn it off , running , working out , boxing are all of his coping mechanisms to help what he’s feeling and he is jittery and impatient right now , to sit and drive is probably not going to go well for him , and he’s too impatient to sit and wait for the bus , so he runs .
Jimin is different from Jungkook he is calm , composed specially when Jungkook’s jumpy , he needs to be the one who’s calm . So he quietly wipes the treadmill , packs his stuff and leaves the gym immediately . He manages to go to a drive through and gets some coffee and bungo pang and hotteok considering Jungkook might not have had his breakfast .
When Jimin reaches home Jungkook’s already there entering the pin to his apartment . “Hey baby ! ” Jimin smiles as he calls Jungkook .
“Hyung” he reaches out to hold Jimin’s hand as he kisses him . He kisses like he really needed to touch him , to be reassured that he is there . Jimin holds Jungkook’s cheeks with his free hand “lets go inside , I got us breakfast”
As they sit on the couch Jimin let’s Jungkook lays down on his chest and hugs him . “Seokjin hyung is dating Yoongi hyung” Jimin’s hand stroking his back come to hault, “I had a hunch he was seeing someone because he was staying past his bedtime but yesterday I accidentally saw them , because I was curious .” “Did we miss our chance ? Did we even have a chance ?”
“Baby , it’s okay” Jimin urges Jungkook to look up and he’s met with his teary eyes .
“Hey it’s okay listen it hurts , terribly but we have each other okay . Do you want to stay at my place for some days ? Or maybe …”
“hmm …” Jungkook wipes his tears .
“Do you want to go on a vacation baby , we could go to Busan for a week , stay near the beaches and then we’ll think about this , how about that ?”
“No , I’d rather just talk about this now and stay with you for a few days please , I promise I will be okay after that .”
Jimin strokes his hair “Okay bun as you wish , let’s eat right now okay and then we can cuddle and watch a Ghibli movie – or we can drink ” Jimin smiles “come on , you know I am taking a day off let’s drink ”
“I love you hyung a whole lot ,hyung I love you so much and I love him too , I am sorry this is so hard , can I take a shower before I eat because my heart’s hurting too much to eat anything”
“Do you want me to wash you up koo ? I think you need to wash your hair baby”
Jimin can feel the vibrations as Jungkook speaks “hmm please take care of me” He reaches up and meets his lip , there’s salt on his lips when Jimin kisses back ,he strokes his ears to calm him down .
