Hey, everyone!! I saw this incorrect winrina tweet (https://twitter.com/winrinatexts/status/1471687620891607044) and it kind of made me want to write a little something. Hope y'all enjoy.

Work Text:

If you asked Jimin how she ended up here, she wouldn’t be able to explain it well. But basically, it all started when her best friend, Aeri started hanging out with Yizhuo who just happens to be best friends Jimin’s longtime crush, Minjeong.

Jimin has known Minjeong from all her life, they’ve been neighbors since forever. But they never really hangout or spent much time together. Minjeong was always glued to her best friend Yizhuo, which made Jimin think that it would be hard to approach the girl. They still would talk sometimes, Minjeong would always give Jimin her brightest smile and wave at her whenever they saw each other from their front porch before going to school.

Aeri somehow ended up getting close to Yizhuo after some party they both attended, and knowing about Jimin’s crush on Yizhuo’s best friend, Aeri wasted no time in making they all hang out together. So, one thing led to another and now Jimin somehow befriended Minjeong.

And now they’re here, on a Friday night, playing Twister on Jimin’s bedroom.

“Right hand, red.” Aeri says.

Minjeong does as she is instructed, ending up somehow in a position right on top of Jimin. “Done!” She yells.

“Right hand, green.” Aeri goes on, without even giving Jimin any time to process how close her and Minjeong are right now.

As Jimin turns around to put her right hand on the green spot as instructed, she realizes she is now facing Minjeong, who is basically on top of her. The older gulps. “D-Done.”

Aeri hums. “Left hand, green.”

“That’s physically impossible.” Minjeong groans. “I’m too small, Aeri!”

“There’s nothing I can do about that, Minjeong. Just try it.” Aeri starts. “Even if you fall you won’t get hurt with Jimin there.”

Jimin eyes Aeri at that, her friend was acting quite suspicious. But before she can even say anything Minjeong sighs trying to do what she was instructed. The smaller girl stretches her arm as much as she can, and now she is basically laying down on top of a completely reddened Jimin.

“I did it!” She moves a bit while celebrating and her face is so close to Jimin’s neck that the older girl can feel her breath. “Okay, next, quickly before I fall.”

Jimin looks at Aeri with wide eyes while the later only smirks before saying. “Okay, next...” Aeri checks the two girls' positions before proceeding. “Right hand, blue.”

Jimin feels a bit relived because her right hand is right next to said color, but then she realizes that in order to do that she will have to put her body higher, crashing it against Minjeong’s. Speaking of Minjeong, Jimin can still feel the girl’s breath right on her neck and she is finding it harder and harder to think right now.

‘Here goes nothing’ Jimin thinks as she tries to move her hand to the blue spot on the Twister board. She crashes into Minjeong as soon as her hand hits the blue mark making the younger lose her balance and they both fall, getting the biggest laugh out of Aeri.

Jimin can feel Minjeong’s weight on top of her, but she has her eyes completely shut. “I’m going to get a drink or something in the kitchen.” She hears Aeri say but just keeps her eyes shut. She is waiting for Minjeong’s weight to leave, but it doesn’t.

After a minute or two, Jimin decides to open her eyes, and she regrets it instantly. Minjeong has her head on Jimin’s shoulder and she’s looking at her in a way that the older can’t understand what it means.

“Hey, I thought you fell asleep on me for a minute there.” Minjeong chuckles

Jimin smiles. “Wouldn’t it be the other way around?” She says as she points at their position.

“Yeah. I guess it would.” Minjeong starts moving and Jimin thinks the younger is about to get up but instead she just makes herself more comfortable on top of Jimin. “Who won the game?”

Now, from the months they’ve been friends, if there is one thing Jimin knew for sure about Minjeong, it was how competitive the younger was. And how sulky she could get after losing. So, she decides that even though she thinks she won, since Minjeong caused them to fall, she would just give the younger the victory. “You did, I lost my balance first.”

Minjeong hums, moves her head to the crook of Jimin’s neck and lets out a content sigh. “You smell good.”

Jimin feels her brain short-circuit and she is sure she is just feeling things that weren’t true, but she could swear she felt Minjeong leave a kiss on her neck. She takes a deep breath, trying to calm herself before speaking. “We just played a whole game of Twister, I doubt I smell any good.”

“You do though. You smell great.” Minjeong is speaking too close to Jimin’s neck and Jimin is ticklish, so she moves a bit.

“It tickles.” She says when Minjeong eyes her.

Minjeong raises one eyebrow at her. “You’re ticklish?”

Jimin knows she made a mistake by telling Minjeong that when she realizes the smirk on the younger’s face. “Kim Minjeong. Don’t you dare.”

Minjeong sits up on top of Jimin, keeping her stuck to the floor. “Don’t dare what, Jimin?” She says, moving her hands to Jimin’s sides. Before Jimin can protest again, Minjeong starts tickling her and Jimin can’t help but laugh as loud as it is humanly possible.

“Minjeong, no. Seriously, I’m begging you. Please, stop.” Jimin says between laughs. Minjeong is beaming while tickling the older, completely ignoring everything she says. “Min, please, I'll do anything you want.”

Minjeong stops at that. Jimin takes the opportunity to take both the girls' hands, to prevent her from going back to tickling her. Minjeong tilts her head looking at Jimin. And Jimin smiles at how much the younger resembles a puppy. “Anything I want?”

“Anything you want. Now get off of me.” Jimin says but doesn’t even try to push the younger.

“Kiss me.”

Jimin’s eyes almost jump out of her head at that. “What did you say?”

“I know you heard me. And you said anything.” Minjeong reasons.

“Get off of me, Minjeong.” Jimin asks again. This time Minjeong looks at her and nods, doing what she was asked and sitting right next to where Jimin is laying down on the floor.

Minjeong is looking down, avoiding Jimin’s gaze at all costs. “I’m sorry. I should go home.”

Before the girl can leave, Jimin quickly sits up right next to Minjeong, taking the younger’s hands in hers. She sighs. “Why?”

Minjeong furrows. “Why I should go home?”

Jimin lets out a little laugh. “Why did you ask me to kiss you, silly.”

“Oh.” Jimin can tell that the younger is thinking of what to answer, so she just patiently waits while drawing little circles with her thumb on the girl's hand. “I don’t know what you expect me to answer but... I just wanted you to because I could never do it myself.”

Jimin didn’t know what she expected the girl to answer either, but it sure wasn’t that. Minjeong is looking right into her eyes and Jimin can feel that the girl is being honest, but it doesn’t make her answer any less confusing for the older. “Why couldn’t you?”

“You’re just... so unachievable.” Minjeong trails off.

“Unachievable?” Jimin furrows.

“Yeah.” Minjeong sighs. “How long do we know each other Jimin?”

“I don’t know for sure. It’s been a couple of months since Aeri and Yizhuo became close so I guess-”

“No.” Minjeong cuts her off. “We live next to each other, Jimin. I know you since I was old enough to play on my backyard. I used to think you were really cool when we were kids because I'd be playing with Yizhuo on my backyard while you’d be riding your bike or skating on the streets with Aeri. And I always thought about how cool it must have been to be your friend back then. I would always smile at you or wave or do anything I could to maybe get you attention so you’d come and talk to me.” Minjeong sighs.

“Min...” Jimin tries to start. She can't believe Minjeong was too shy to approach her when she was the one who always has had the biggest crush on the younger and thought Minjeong was the unapproachable one. But before Jimin can say anything she gets cut off again.

“No, let me talk. Just... let me say everything.” Minjeong lets out another sigh before continuing. “Years went by and I even felt kind of envious of Aeri at some point because she got to be your friend. And I wondered how she did it, because no matter how many times I smiled or talked to you or anything, it would never work. But somehow, something, had worked for Aeri.” Minjeong lets out a dry laugh. “Then a couple months ago, I was with Yizhuo at this party and we saw Aeri...”

Jimin furrows at that. Aeri never mentioned Minjeong being at the party. Minjeong seems to notice her confusion so she continues. “Yizhuo told me we should introduce ourselves properly, but I didn’t really want to, it’s petty but I didn’t want to talk to Aeri because she was your friend, like I wanted to be, but I wasn’t. So, yeah. Yizhuo went and they hit it off from there and Yizhuo made it her job to make sure you and I would become friends.”

Jimin smiles. She didn’t know this side of how things had happened. She always thought it was just by chance that Aeri got close to Yizhuo and that Aeri was the one doing everything to make Jimin and Minjeong get closer.

“So, after that, we started hanging out. And I told you I used to think you were really cool when we were younger, but when I got to actually know you, I realized you were... no, you are even better than I thought. Then we became friends and I thought that would make me happy but the more time we spent together, the more I realized that I didn’t want to be your friend, maybe I never did.”

“You didn’t?” Jimin asks confusedly.

“I don’t think so, no.” Minjeong purses her lips before continuing. “Yizhuo is my best friend and Aeri is my friend. And I don’t feel about them in no way what I feel about you. I don’t feel like holding their hands, or hugging them for longer than seems appropriate and... I don’t feel like kissing them.”

“But you feel all that about me?” Jimin can’t help the smile that spreads across her face. Did Kim Minjeong just confess to her?

“Didn’t I just make that clear, Jimin?”

“Well, maybe I need to hear it again.” Jimin beams. “But before, you asked me something, so let me.”

Jimin gently cups the younger’s face before bringing their lips together. The kiss barely lasts one or two seconds and she’s pulling away to look at Minjeong’s face. “Was it... okay?” Minjeong nods. “Should I do it again?” Another nod. Jimin chuckles before kissing the girl again. They pull away when the door opens.

Yizhuo screams, covering her eyes. “Oh my God, oh my God, oh my God! What did I just witness?”

Suddenly Aeri comes running. “Were they doing it?” Aeri points at the other two girls. “Did you finally kiss?”

Minjeong groans before hiding behind Jimin, hugging the older. Jimin on the other hand, literally beams at their friends. “We did.”

“I knew it. I told you it would work, Ning! Pay up.” Aeri says shaking her hand in front of Yizhuo.

“Ugh. I can't believe that from all the chances we gave you, you guys fall for the Twister game.” Yizhuo groans.

Minjeong peaks from behind Jimin. “Wait, you bet on us? You bet on me, Ning Yizhuo?”

“I thought it would be easy money.” Yizhuo shrugs. “Wait. Who kissed who?”

“Jimin kissed me.”

“Yes! You pay up, Aeri.” Yizhuo says victoriously.

“But I confessed to her before she did so.”

“Ha! You pay up, Yizhuo!” Aeri says while laughing at the youngest’s face.

“Whatever.” Yizhuo shrugs. “How did it happen, anyway?”

“I made they get closer, both figuratively and physically speaking, during Twister, so, it’s all thanks to me.” Aeri proudly states.

“Wait a minute,” Jimin finally speaks again. “You did it on purpose?”

Aeri smirks at her. “Jimin... I wasn’t even spinning the wheel for the last 20 minutes of the game. I actually thought you’d notice.”

Minjeong hums. “I did.”

“You did?” Jimin gasps.

The younger just nods. “It was quite obvious, baby.”

“Baby?” Jimin smiles. “Whatever. Aeri, I’ll get back at you for this.”

“What do you mean? I literally helped you get your girl.” Aeri says faking an offended tone.

“Yeah, and I’ll help you get yours; you just wait.” Jimin says eyes going from Aeri to Yizhuo who seemed to not understand the exchange at all, Aeri on the other hand went as red as it is physically possible.

“Well, you better make time for me in the middle of doing that.” Minjeong says rolling her eyes while pulling Jimin closer to her. “I need to make up for all the time I couldn’t kiss you.”

“Of course, baby.” Jimin says as she kisses the younger's forehead.

If you asked Jimin how she ended up here, she wouldn’t be able to explain it well. It all started with a game of Twister that went wrong... or did it really?
