Chapter Text
Who knew after everything camilo would marry the person of his dreams! It was the night before the gift ceremony for his little gremlins. So the la familia madrigal decided to have a sleepover in the middle of Casita.
Everyone came! What joy, his sons and daughters snuggles their pillow as camilo gazes as his loved one with so much adoration.
Dolores elbows her brother making him sputter! "You're staring again" she whispers in his ear "I can stare all I want, we're married!" He says
"Ay Camilo, show some decency" you gently scold, he rolls his eyes, earning a flick on the on the forehead
"Sí, mi amor" he ran kisses up your arm, rolling your eyes, you sigh, is this your punishment for marrying such a whipped idiot.
"Ew papá!" Your daughter covers her eyes yet peaked through her fingers.
Buckling under another elbow at from Dolores, "there's plenty of love to go around mi princesa!"
Your sons however took a liking to their tío Bruno, pulling at his ruana, he ruffles their hair turning them into a giggling mess.
Your other daughter pulled at your shirt, demanding a bedtime story for their large sleepover.
"A bedtime story! About tío Bruno misguided rumors!" Raising a brow at the children, before looking over to Bruno who waited expecting with his rats for a telenovela.
"mi principes, that quiet the story, did you tio convince you, did you ask him? "
Bruno had to admit the song was kinda catchy, even if it was a bit misguided, Isabella smirks knowingly, elbowing her sister who shuffled with her glasses.
"Yeah (name), Camilo tell the story" she
Says.
"Ay, so back when me and your papá we're teenagers-" you started, pinching camilo who wrapped his arms around your waist.
"They never talked about your tío Bruno, since his gift was seen as a bad omen- no offense tío Bruno!"
Bruno waves the couple off "none taken!"
" Everytime he was mentioned they'd say 'we don't talk about Bruno!' which I don't get why not, look at him he's gorgeous!"
"Mi amor!" Camilo tugs your ear from jealously, pouting as a grown man old habits died hard.
You snort, ignoring his Lil hissy fit. "It runs in the family, you're just as gorgeous! Mi vida" to really sell it, you pepper his face with kisses making sure to go over his freckles.
Tía julieta clears her throat, and you whisper a quick'later 'Milo'
" They don't talk about Bruno, no, no, no
They don't talk about Bruno, but
It was abuela's wedding day (it was abuela and abuelo's wedding day)
They were getting ready, and there wasn't a cloud in the sky (no clouds allowed in the sky)"
Get the idea of where this was going, Camilo takes you for a spin.
"Your tío walks in with a mischievous grin (thunder!)
You telling this story or am I?
I'm sorry, mi vida, go on"
He pecks your nose.
"Tío Bruno says, "It looks like rain" (why did he tell them?)
In doing so, he floods her brain
Bisabuela, get the umbrellas
Married in a hurricane
What a joyous day! But anyway
They don't talk about Bruno, no, no, no
They don't talk about Bruno"
"Hey, grew to live in fear of Bruno stuttering or stumbling
Tía Dolores can always hear him sort of muttering and mumbling
associating him with the sound of falling sand, ch ch ch
It's a heavy lift with a gift so humbling
Always left bisabuela and the family fumbling
Grappling with prophecies they couldn't understand
Do you understand?"
You nail that part, all of the sudden your tugged to the side, his lips briefly touch your cheek before shifting into his interpretation of señor Bruno, towering over you while attacking your waist with his arms
"A seven-foot frame, rats along his back
When he calls your name it all fades to black
Yeah, he sees your dreams and feasts on your screams (hey)"
You dust off invisible dirt, pinching camilo's arms.
"They don't talk about Bruno, no, no, no
They don't talk about Bruno
He told someone their fish would die, the next day, dead (no, no)
He told someone they'd grow a gut and just like he said (no, no)
He said that all the priest's hair would disappear
Now, look at his head (no, no)
They said- your fate is sealed when your prophecy is read"
" He told prima Isabella that the life of her dreams
Would be promised, and someday be hers
He told her that her power would grow
Like the grapes that thrive on the vine (bisabuela says, Mariano's on his way)
He told tía Dolores that the man of her dreams
Would be just out of reach
Betrothed to another
It's like she hears him, now
Prima Isabella, she wanted not a sound out of Mirabel
Um, Bruno
Yeah, about that Bruno
Prima Maribel really needed to know about Bruno
the truth and the whole truth, Bruno
Your papá yells
(Isabella, your boyfriend's here)"
'ay Camilo'
"Time for dinner!"
"A seven-foot frame, rats along his back
When he calls your name it all fades to black
Yeah, he sees your dreams and feasts on your screams
You telling this story or am I?
Bisabuela says, Mariano's on his way
Bruno says, "It looks like rain"
In doing so, he floods her brain
Married in a hurricane
he's here!
They Don't talk about Bruno, no (why did she talk about Bruno?)
Not a word about Bruno
She should've brought up Bruno!"
You gulp for air, it's been a while since you danced so much. Camilo obviously memorized by such a dance.
"Because your tío was practically harmless!" Camilo finishes, hugging you close, stuffing his face into the corner of your neck
"Look at him he's all grown up!" Cue the tiny snow storm "mamí! We talked about this!" Camilo was nothing short of a momma's boy everyone knew.
"Come here mijo! Let me squeeze you!" While Antonio question why the hunk was the man of Dolores's dreams.
What a nice sleepover
