Work Text:
Morgan didn’t know how he ended up in this situation. Alex was fighting an A tier team and Morgan was caught in the crossfire. It all started when the A tiers got word of Morgan’s relationship to Alex and decided to kidnap him. He was bagged on the way to a date with Alex and transported to the team’s base. He wasn’t questioned or tortured, wierdly enough, no they were only using him as bait.
It worked. As soon as Alex saw that Morgan was missing he went looking for the person who kidnapped him. That led him right to the heroes’ base. He bust through the door, ripping it off it’s hinges and throwing it in the heroes’ direction.
“Heroes, I would love to spare your lives. Only if you give Morgan back to me.”
“This time we will defeat you S tier. We have your only weakness. This lowly D tier. It would be a shame if something happened to him.”
“Alex! Don’t listen to them. Please leave!” Morgan tried shouting, but one of the heroes’ powers was muting his screams.
The fight started when one of the more impulsive heroes lunged at Alex. Alex easily fought them off. But you could tell he was holding back. If he went all out it meant Morgan would get hurt or die. By now Morgan managed to get himself out of the restraints and was trying to leave so Alex could finish the heroes.
Morgan tries going for the door, but Alex’s nemesis stops him. They release a charged attack clearly meant for an S tier vilain. But before Morgan could feel the atack hit him Alex flew in front of him shielding him from the atack. He turned weakly towards Morgan.
“I’m sorry love… .. .”
His eyes rolled back and he fell into Morgan’s arms. Morgan looked into his face, the already pale skin even lighter. All the heroes stopped fighting. Tears started rushing to Morgan’s face.
“H-Hey… Alex, Wake up…” He said weakly. “ R-Remember, you’re not allowed to die. Please. Wake up! Wake up I can’t lose you! Please!” He pleaded.
A scream wrung out through the wrecked base. He sobbed and screamed over the loss of his love. The heroes are taken aback for the heavy display of grief. Morgan’s vision clouded with anger. His face darkened with anger. He gently set Alex down and readied himself for a fight. He stood up, grabbed a knife from his pocket, and looked up at the heroes.
The heroes weren’t expecting a hard fight, so they didn’t see what would happen next coming. Morgan teleported behind one of the heroes and snapped their neck. The other heroes were shocked as the body of their comrade fell to the ground. But before they could react, Morgan teleported again stabbing another hero in the back of their head. He slowly went through all the heroes killing them one by one. The last one left was Alex’s nemesis.
Morgan teleported behind them, but instead of killing them quickly, he stabbed him in the chest slowly. He then teleported right up to his face. And he started punching him, and punching him, and punching him, and punching him, and punching him, and punching him, and punching him, and punching him, and punching him, and punching him, and punching him, and punching him, and punching him, and punching him, and punching him, and punching him, and punching him, and punching him.
His vision cleared and he held the hero’s mangled corpse. Morgan tossed him to the ground. He went back to where he set Alex. He cradled his face and cried into his face. He cried and cried. It felt like it had been hours. He looked down and he saw his chest, slowly rising. With a dash of hope, he checked his breathing and- He was breathing, he was breathing.
Morgan teleported them to the medic bay of the villain’s base. One of the medics took Alex’s body and promised Morgan they would take care of him. Morgan sits in the waiting room, face and clothes bloody, staring into the wall. He was comforted by some of the henchmen he always said hello to when he visited the lair. He was inconsolable though, he wouldn’t be okay until he had his lover back again.
The doctor came back and he immediately stood up. He told Morgan that Alex would make a full recovery. He rushed to Alex’s assigned room in the infirmary. He sat by his bed slowly taking in the sight of his injured lover. He sat in the corner of the bed and began muttering. “Please wake up.” over and over. The exhaustion of the day finally hit him and he fell asleep in Alex’s arms.
Morgan woke up to someone petting his hair. He relaxed into the touch before realizing what was happening and he sat up. Alex lovingly looked at him and said.
“I’m sorry for the scare my love, do you forgive me.”
Morgan didn’t respond and just kissed him.
