The rays of the sun were beginning to dry up the shy dew, and Jungkook sighed slowly as he looked at his mirror.
He adjusted the stuffy tie around his neck, put his jacket back on and ran his hand through his carefully slicked back hair. He tightened his belt, hoping to accentuate his small waist, wrinkling his nose as he saw his pants refuse to sit correctly on his hips. He clearly should have bought a smaller size. Looking up, he saw his reflection again, this time struck by the ridiculousness of his outfit.
"You're gonna woo an omega, not compare on a trial, idiot," he muttered to himself, undoing the knot of his tie.
He angrily threw his clothes on his bed before diving back into his wardrobe.
The alpha returned to the mirror, wearing a pair of shorts and a T-shirt. The short sleeves revealed his sleeve of tattoos, so loved by Yoongi. He ruffled his hair, smiling at his reflection, the one that made the young clerk at the local grocery store blush. Jungkook blinked and shook his head, growing more and more frustrated.
“You're going to woo an omega, not play basketball, Jungkook!” He cried, undressing.
After an hour, Jungkook was pacing nervously around his room, wearing just a pair of boxers. His closet and dresser were empty, and his bed was invisible under the huge pile of tangled fabrics. Nothing was fitting him! His clothes were either too serious, too relaxed, too stupid, too tight-
The alpha jumped when the door to his room opened silently. Jimin, arms folded, gazed in amazement at the gigantic pile of clothes.
"Jin-hyung didn't want me to come bother you, but I have to tell you that your stressed out alpha pheromones are stinking the whole house. It feels like a beach where everyone has had fun putting their trash, Kook, ”he said without flinching at the naked appearance of the youngest.
Jungkook whimpered, repeating his incessant circles.
"Hyung, nothing fits me!" I can't meet Yoongi completely naked! ”He said. He froze again, focusing his wide eyes on Jimin. "Hyung-"
"Jungkook, no, you can't propose for the Spring Ceremony in Adam and Eve's clothes," Jimin cut in with a mocking smile. "Well, you could, once you're alone with him. I'm sure Yoongi-hyung would appreciate it ”
The youngest blushed. Without answering, he turned back to his bed (still buried) as his scent took on a sad turn on top of being anxious. Jimin visibly softened and came to put his hand on Jungkook's shoulder, hoping to comfort him.
“Yoongi will accept, Jungkook. It doesn't matter what you have on your back. He already loves you, and you know it, ”he said quietly, trying to release pheromones that would calm the younger one. Considering his beta status, the scent wouldn't be strong enough to relax him completely, but he was doing what he could.
Jungkook ran his hands over his face.
“He loves me because he's my best friend, hyung. I ... I have nothing to offer as a courtier. I am an orphan, I have an honest job, I am far from being rich ... ", replied Jungkook with a misty gleam in his eyes.
Jimin shifted so he could fix his gaze on the younger’s.
“Yoongi-hyung doesn't give a damn about any of this, and you know it. Hyung has had countless court requests for years, but he turned them all down. Because he's waiting for you to do something, ”he said, hammering his index finger on his friend's chest. “I know how he looks at you, Kook. You do not have to worry. And you are wrong: you have your love to offer, it is already a lot. That's all he wants "
The younger took a deep breath, his shoulders visibly loosening. He nodded under Jimin's proud face.
“Now you're going to put on your pair of jeans that make you look amazing, get out of here and go charm Yoongi-hyung!” The beta cried, leaving the room with a slap on the head of the alpha. The latter yelped, offended, as Jimin's laugh wandered down the hall.
Jungkook allowed himself a small chuckle. Come to think of it, Jimin was right. He quickly pulled on his jeans, then slipped into a white button-up shirt. Once in front of the mirror, he undid the first button, then the second. At the right angle, the light shone through the linen, revealing his tattoos. Jungkook smiled. He had seen the glances Yoongi gave him when he was swimming in the lake. Boots on, jewelry around his neck, wrists and fingers, he left his room, half confident and half afraid.
In the kitchen, Seokjin winked at him, giving him a plate filled with a vegetable omelet, bacon and rice. Jungkook saw Namjoon, his nose buried in a thick book, and Hoseok, sitting at the counter. The light went through the big windows and was screened by curtains, bathing the open floor in a golden hue. He briefly regretted not bringing his camera.
“I don't believe it!” Seokjin exclaimed theatrically, drawing a groan by the younger alpha. "Our little baby is going to court an omega!" You're already twenty-one, aish. It was yesterday that you moved in, looking like a lost puppy. Oh! Or the first time you had your rut- »
"Hyung!" Jungkook cried, his cheeks burning. He didn't need a trip to his embarassing past just before he went to court Yoongi. He heard Jimin laugh, somewhere in the living room.
Hoseok smiles over his breakfast.
“No, no, Seokjin-hyung has a point. Hyung, like when Kookie had his alpha presentation! ”He said, waving his hands in the air.
Seokjin made a tender sound as Jungkook flailed, embarrassed at the highest point.
"Let's talk about something else-"
"I was sure he was an alpha-"
"Jin-hyung, stop talking like I'm not in the room-"
"- But he popped his first knot so quickly!"
Jungkook choked on his own complaint and collapsed on the table. He loved his hyungs, but he hated them a lot. He would have liked to tell the 9-year-old Jungkook who was moving into the foster home for the first time that everything would be fine. Despite their quirks of telling his embarrassing stories to first-comers (read here: Yoongi), they were the closest thing to a family Jungkook had ever had. Moreover, it was during this period that he had met Yoongi ... with a little luck, he would be part of the family, too, being Jungkook’s omega.
He was snapped out of his thoughts as he smelled the sweet scent of Namjoon.
"I'm glad you came to live here, Kook. We're all proud of you", the omega said calmly, smiling.
Jungkook couldn't resist the temptation to hug the older one, losing himself in the smell of rain. Namjoon and Seokjin had been a kind of parental figure to him, the perfect example of an omega / alpha couple. Jungkook had always hoped to have a relationship like theirs. Immediately, three more pairs of arms came in, circling the younger in the middle. Jimin and Hoseok had come to work on the farm, but over time they became part of the family, too. Jungkook smiled, perfectly caught between their respective scents.
"You will always be our baby-alpha, you know, even if Yoongi agrees to be mated with your bunny face," Hoseok said, easing the mood quickly.
Jungkook continued to complain as his hyungs kept telling stories about the younger one. With lots of encouragement and little teasing, Jungkook finally left his house, heading for the love of his life.
He walked up the long path to his courtyard, briefly admiring the view that still took his breath away. The alpha had grown up in this small town. Nestled in a valley between two fairly imposing hills, the town lived mainly on culture and crafts. The soils and forests surrounding them always had a positive effect on their agriculture. They had rather difficult winters, but they were used to it. Their population had grown in recent years, so the Council had started new construction, appointing Jungkook as the architect on the project. There were several other senior engineers, as Jungkook was still in college, however, he contributed a lot to the plans. The village was gradually expanding. Jungkook had always wanted to see the world, to go to bigger cities, to taste different cultures. Yet he knew that his roots would bring him back here, to the top of a hill with bucolic landscapes, enjoying Yoongi's magnificent laugh.
He took a shortcut through the strawberry fields (paying attention to the small plans, otherwise Hoseok would yell at him again) to come out onto the main street.
Outside, the Spring Ceremony was in full swing. He saw the girl of the grocery store with an alpha, hand in hand, visibly in love. A male omega knocked timidly on the door of a house, which opened on the surprised expression of a young alpha woman. Jungkook chuckled as he watched a beta get accosted by two omega girls, clearly embarrassed under their combined attention. The air smelled of love no matter where you set foot, and anyone could tell that court season was open.
The rules for this celebration were simple: Anyone could court anyone, but they had to file their request with their love interest on the first day of spring. Of course, all the partners had to be adults. If the love interest refused, then it was over. If the person agreed, then the courtiers could begin to prove that they would be good partners. The courted person could end the whole procedure at any time, and it was written in the law that any unwanted romantic interaction had to end.
At the end of the season, the pairs mated as summer began, after a few weeks of courtship. Many times people who fell in love out of season would wait until this ceremony to mate, simply because everyone loved the tradition. Jungkook also knew several long-mated villagers who courted each other during the season, just for fun.
He walked up the main street with impatience in his footsteps. He had to stop at a specific place before showing up at Yoongi's, so as not to arrive empty-handed. He turned several times, not worrying about getting lost in the maze of the city. He dodged passing cars, swarms of laughing children chased by a disgruntled merchant, stray dogs craving affection, with agility imprinted in his brain. The alpha had spent his teenage years exploring the nooks and crannies of every street, Yoongi at his heels. They had discovered many beautiful little shops and met lovely people. His favorite moments were when the sun was setting, when Yoongi invariably took a tangerine out of his pocket before sharing it with Jungkook. He could have walked there with his eyes closed.
"Jungkook-ah!"
The man was taken out of his thoughts when he heard his name through the bustling city. He lit up when he recognized the voice.
“Halabeoji!” He cried, walking towards the garage.
Jungkook was still studying to be an architect, but he had needed a job to stay on his feet (because, much to the annoyance of his hyungs, he wasn't going to stay on their farm all his life). After several unsuccessful attempts, Jungkook lamented to his best friend. The next day, Yoongi proudly presented the garage to him. The establishment was run by a very gentle old man called Donghyun who insisted that Jungkook call him halabeoji. He was running the garage with his daughter Eunji, a sweet beta who was mated with a female alpha.
"Jungkook, Jungkook, I wanted to ask you, could you come over this afternoon? Eunji is probably going to rest with her wife, so I was wondering if you could take care of the garage”, said the man, leaning over the open hood of a black car.
Automobiles were rather scarce in the city, as the majority traveled on foot, and in winter, clearing the roads for cars was arduous. However, several people owned them, which meant that the garage had a good number of customers. Jungkook hesitated to answer. He would gladly have helped Donghyun, only he had planned to spend the day with Yoongi ...
“Appa! It's the Spring Ceremony, we can close! Everyone's too in love to come here anyway, ”Eunji interjected as she walked out of the back room. "Look at the young man, appa, he's going to court someone, stop bothering him"
Jungkook blushed immediately. The man turned to the young alpha, looked over him, noticing his jewelry, and laughed.
"Why not! How stupid I am. Go seduce Yoongi, Jungkook-ah, Eunji is right, ”he said, waving his hand.
"I… What makes you say I'm going to woo Yoongi-hyung," he stammered, embarrassed to have been exposed so soon.
Eunji tilted her head back to smirk, her hands still wiping off a huge adjustable wrench.
"If you're not going to woo Yoongi, then something's wrong with you, Jungkook"
The alpha almost choked on his breath. Unable to deal with the awkwardness that was spreading through his being, he bowed deeply before, literally, running away. Eunji's laugh followed him down the street.
Ears burning, Jungkook shook his head. He had to concentrate on his mission.
He walked into the city with an establishment in his mind. He passed several people who recognized him, teachers, friends, colleagues, and all teased him slightly about his activity for the day. Apparently, everyone in town knew Jungkook was in love with Yoongi… except Yoongi. He wasn't surprised, as he was unable to hide his emotions, but his ego was still a bit shaken.
He smiled when he finally saw the familiar storefront of his favorite establishment. The lady who owned the small pastry shop, Aecha, appeared as soon as the bell rang above Jungkook's hair.
"Jungkook-ah! Finally! I was wondering when were you going to finally ask Yoongi to be your omega! ”Aecha exclaimed as she placed some dough on her counter, speaking so loudly that a few clients giggled.
At this point, Jungkook had come to terms with his perpetual state of embarrassment on this day.
“What can I do for you, Kook-ah?” She asked, stretching over the counter to pinch his cheek.
"Ajummaaaaa," Jungkook groaned, stepping back. "I'm twenty-one, ajumma, not ten"
"That I know, young alpha!" Your pheromones are so excited and impatient that I'm surprised all the omegas in town aren't throwing themselves at your feet! ”The little pastry chef shouted, pointing at Jungkook, as if there was something he could do about it.
Aecha shook his head with a smirk.
"Several omegas are going to be sad when they find out you're mated, Kook-ah," she said, folding the white dough back on itself.
Jungkook felt the blush spread across his neck. He knew he was quite popular among the other statuses. Last year, several omega and betas, and even an alpha, came to offer him on the Spring Ceremony. Jungkook had never stammered so much as when he gently refused their advances.
He sighed inwardly, knowing he would never win against Aecha.
"I came for a chocolate eclair and some pralines," he said, waving his fingers nervously.
These were Yoongi's favorite desserts. He always ate the éclairs while smearing the chocolate all over his face, creating smudges that Jungkook held back from wiping each time. And Yoongi loved to chew on something while reading. Jungkook had more than once seen him go through a full box of pralines in one read.
As she placed the desired items in a box, Aecha had an incredulous chuckle.
"Yoongi doesn't need you to give him desserts for him to accept, Jungkook-ah," she said, smiling.
He shrugged. It was a calculated purchase. If Yoongi refused, Jungkook could drown his sorrow in the sweet treats: if he accepted, then his surprised expression when Jungkook gave him the box would be a bonus.
The alpha searched his pockets to pay, but the lady stopped him by putting her hand on his arm.
“You don't owe me a dime, Jungkook. Now go get your omega, ”she said with a wink, eerily similar to the one Seokjin had given him earlier.
Jungkook grinned as he thanked her deeply.
Once in the street, he realized that nothing was holding him back. Nothing was between him and his love. Without realizing it, his steps gradually picked up, and the next thing he knew was that he was running towards Yoongi, holding the box delicately in his hands. He nearly tripped several times, drawing laughter and stares from the other villagers. His hormones must have been crazy, carrying a clear message: he was heading straight for his love interest. He waved his hand when he saw his friend Yugyeom leaning out of his house window after the latter shouted encouragement. People were smiling at him, and even the smirks conveyed a message of encouragement and happiness. His boss at the construction site, behind the driving wheel of his car, saw him quickly and gave him the time to cross the street.
“Good luck, Jungkook!” The man shouted, waving his hat as the young alpha ran past his automobile.
Jungkook responded with a huge smile.
Finally, he arrived in front of the only house that mattered to him. He stopped in front of the delicate pattern of the wire fence, a pattern he could have traced while sleeping. He knew every nook and cranny of the Mins family home, after years of annoying his best friend by arriving without telling him. He knew that at this hour, Yoongi's mother was busy in the garden while her husband corrected exams, always staying close to her.
Both were betas, giving birth to an omega, then a young alpha, Taehyung. The latter had kept his mother's maiden name, as the old village tradition wanted, while Yoongi had his father's. Ms. Min was gentle and petite. Yoongi's height clearly came from her, but Taehyung had inherited Mr. Min's tall height. It was the latter who had inspired Yoongi to become a teacher. At first Jungkook was jealous of his friend's perfect family, but over time they had become his family too.
He inhaled the delicious scent of the flowers tightly woven into the wire mesh, trying to smell the omega. Jungkook closed his eyes. His courage shouldn't slip through his fingers, for it was now or never.
"Are you planning to stay there long?"
Jungkook jumped violently. He looked up at Taehyung, who was staring at him with a smirk between the doors of the gate. He and Jungkook, despite their similar age, had a rivalry, no doubt caused by the endless battle for Yoongi's attention. Taehyung wanted to protect his sweet big brother and Jungkook wanted the older one for him alone.
Taehyung crossed his arms after a few moments. Jungkook told himself with frustration that the alpha had probably smelled his intense pheromones by now.
"Guess you came to propose to me for the Spring Ceremony, Jeon?"
The man frowned, easily irritated by the alpha in front of him. He moved closer to Taehyung, as Jungkook wanted to prove to him that his extra few inches didn't intimidate him.
“In your dreams, Kim,” he said. "I'm here for Yoongi-hyung"
Taehyung gave a mocking sneer.
"If you think I'm going to let you woo hyung, you're even dumber than I thought"
"Taehyung," Jungkook replied, intentionally omitting the mark of respect for someone older. "You can't stop me from seeing Yoongi-hyung. In addition, I know that you are going to court Jimin-hyung, so we are on the same footing "
Taehyung blushed violently, without losing his piercing gaze.
"If you hurt Yoongi," he finally muttered. "I won't hesitate to castrate you, Jeon"
Faced with his victory, Jungkook couldn't help but smile.
"The same goes for me, Kim," he slipped, stepping around him.
With an evil chuckle, he hit the older alpha's ass with a heartfelt slap, darting off as he heard his offended yelp.
Jungkook walked through the maze of vegetation surrounding the Mins house without fear of getting lost, paying close attention to the box in his hands. He would always remember the first time he had come, terrified of the huge plants of various vegetables and fruits. Yoongi's mother was a botanist, and tended to her huge garden in her spare time. The land was surrounded by the silver fence, with the house in the middle. In front of it were rows of plans accustomed to the temperature, with a gigantic greenhouse in the back.
Jungkook, still chuckling, stopped in Yoongi's favorite corner, the little bench between the raspberry and strawberry bushes. Even though the omega loved picking the tangerines his mother grew in the greenhouse, he loved the berries in those bushes just as much. He often studied there, curled up on the bench, stretching out his hand from time to time to pick up a small red fruit.
"Jungkookie?"
Never before had Jungkook turned around so quickly.
Before him stood the love of his life, in all its magnificent glory. Yoongi wore a cream long-sleeved sweater and his favorite long skirt, the one he wore when he was helping his mother in the garden. The light purple fabric gently rippled in the breeze, making the omega even more splendid. On top of it he had put on his dirty and worn work apron. His jet black hair was tousled, his hands were stained with dirt, and he had a trail of it on his cheek, but Jungkook found him ethereal. He saw only his delicate eyes, his rosy mouth, his slender fingers. He only saw his confident and courageous hyung, his empathetic and ambitious best friend, and everything that made Jungkook fall in love.
He only saw Yoongi's beauty.
"Oh, uh, hello, hyung," he stammered. "Um, how did you know I was here?"
The older one smiled, but there was a note of sadness, as if he was refraining from saying what he really meant.
“Your pheromones are easy to follow. Do you want to court someone, Kook-ah? "
Jungkook felt apprehension and stress overflowing in him. Under the curious eyes of the older man, Jungkook put the box down on the bench. His hands were shaking violently, and the temptation to invent a stupid excuse to dodge the situation was strong, but Jungkook would not succumb to it. He took Yoongi's hands, who was looking at him with increasingly dumbfounded eyes, to guide him to the bench. Once he was seated, Jungkook knelt down in front of him, sure he wasn't doing anything in the right order, but he didn't care.
"Hyung," he began, his mouth already dry.
It was like pushing himself to jump into the void. He swallowed with difficulty, allowing himself to be slightly distracted by the softness of Yoongi's fingers under his. The older man's peach smell was slowly starting to turn sour. The thought of making his love anxious made Jungkook so horrified that he had no choice but to take the plunge.
“Eleven years ago, bullies at my school intimidated me. The same thing, the same fear every day. They said I was too gentle, too obedient, that I had to be an omega to have such a docile temperament. That ... that it was because of this that my family had abandoned me, because they were too ashamed. And then, one day, you arrived. In all your splendor, from the height of your twelve years experience on earth. You had already had your presentation, but that didn't change a thing. You yelled at my attackers with the force and ferocity of an alpha, you spoke to the professors with the diplomacy of a beta, you comforted me with the sweetness of an omega. I was so impressed that immediately I followed you everywhere. I don't know how you put up with a little puppy like me in your paws, ”Jungkook said with a chuckle, his eyes still fixed on the omega's fingers for fear of meeting his gaze.
Now that he had jumped, the words threaded one after the other, like the marbles in the bracelets he and Yoongi made every Christmas.
“After several years, and my presentation, I realized that your status did not affect anything. Thinking that you had the qualities of an alpha was stupid. You made me understand that I could be more than my second biological status. I could be a sweet alpha because I was me. And you, you ... you are stubborn, kind, brave, beautiful, because you are you. Not some omega that secretly needed someone. You were Yoongi-hyung. My Yoongi-hyung "
With a surge of mysterious bravery, he lifted his head to fix his gaze on Yoongi's dark pupils, which were filled with water.
“I know that what I’m doing is traditional, and that it contributes a little to the stereotypes of the statutes. The great alpha who asks the omega to be his. That's not my intention, Yoongi. I want to be yours, instead. I want to wake up in the morning seeing your face, I want to be able to proudly proclaim that I belong to the most fantastic omega on Earth, I want to cook by your side, and many other activities as cliché as the others. You are independent and you don't need to be mated to be successful in your life, but Yoongi, if you accepted my request, I would be the happiest man on the planet, ”he finished quickly.
Jungkook had originally planned a longer speech, but if he continued, he would cry.
He closed his eyes, terrified of the lack of response. He knew it, Yoongi was going to reject him, telling him that he only saw him as a friend. Jungkook was about to return home, dejected and heartbroken. Yoongi would accept someone else's request and Jungkook couldn't bear to see them in love and would have to move away and-
His thoughts abruptly stopped as he felt a pair of lips brush his.
The alpha abruptly opened his eyes to see those of Yoongi, who was smiling at him despite his tears.
“Of course, Jungkook,” he smiles tenderly. "Obviously, I accept"
What-
Time seemed to stand still, yet Yoongi's magnificent face moved closer again, only to be stopped by the hand of a panicked alpha. Yoongi raised a questioning eyebrow as he watched Jungkook's eyes widen. The alpha got up, followed by the omega.
“Hyung! I- Do you love me too? And- and I'm not supposed to kiss you until a week of court, at least- I read the manual and told my hyungs about it and- I can't believe it, I don't know- ”
The alpha broke off when he saw Yoongi laughing softly. The latter slowly withdrew Jungkook's hand, who watched him in amazement. Yoongi gave him another absolutely devastating smile before joining his two hands behind Jungkook's neck. He tiptoed, a detail that made Jungkook's heart melt even more.
"You said it yourself, Kook, we don't follow the outline of alpha and omega behaviors established by old mores, so for heaven's sake, let me kiss you," he whispered before approaching quickly.
This time was the right one.
Their mouths met softly, slowly, finally learning to be close after so many years of yearning for each other. Embarrassed but wanting to learn more about the lips of the older one, Jungkook ended up shyly placing his hands on his hips, decreasing the distance between their bodies. Yoongi sighed softly as he got lost in the kiss, which encouraged the alpha even more. The rosy lips of the Omega were slightly dry, but the feel they gave to the Alpha was more exceptional than anything he had imagined. Gaining confidence, he ran his tongue over his plump lower lip, shivering when Yoongi immediately parted his lips. Jungkook couldn't hold back an appreciative growl as he slowly, so tenderly explored Yoongi's mouth with his tongue. Everything was soft, wet, sultry, perfect, and Jungkook felt his head spin when the smell of happy omega enveloped him completely. Yoongi let out his own sigh, with a few high notes, responding to the kiss just as lovingly. Jungkook took a last second to enjoy the kiss before he squeezed his hands on the omega's hips and stepped back.
Yoongi made a saddened sound, eyes wide and plaintive, which was a great test for Jungkook's conviction.
"I'm sorry, hyung, but I really want to properly court you. And if we continue, ”he added, his cheeks flushing. "I will not be able to control myself"
He kept the omega close, his hands on his small hips, still breathing in its mouth-watering peach scent. A gust of wind suddenly passed, weaving through the bushes engorged with buds as pink as their cheeks, finally circling the new couple. Jungkook noticed that Yoongi's purple skirt brushed his own legs, as if it were an extension of the omega, wanting to touch him every moment.
“What if I don't want to wait?” Yoongi asked, crossing his arms. "What if I don't want you to control yourself, Kook?"
The younger boy's eyes widened as his inner alpha began to yell all sorts of obscene things at him. He felt his ears burn under the piercing gaze of the omega.
"Hyung-"
"I've been hoping for many years that you love me back, Jungkook, and are you going to make your omega wait even longer?" Yoongi cut off as he approached dangerously, his pout equally as devastating.
Jungkook's heart (and another part of his body he refused to pay attention to) reacted to hearing Yoongi call himself his omega. He put one of his hands behind the older man's back to push him against his chest, turning his head to brush his ear with his lips. The corners of his mouth lifted as he heard the omega gasp in surprise.
"Hyung," he whispered, his voice deep and affected. "You have no idea all the things I want to do with you, and I'm sorry to keep you waiting a little longer before you have all of me but ... I've spent so many years suppressing my misplaced thoughts, out of shame, I can't change overnight ”
As he spoke, he started to rub his nose against Yoongi's neck, where his scent gland was, and felt him shiver in his arms. Little by little, the smell of the beach spread over the omega's skin, possessive and reassuring. Yoongi sighed again, resting the flat of his hands against Jungkook's chest, spreading his own scent against the younger's tanned skin. The latter felt his confidence grow and his tongue loosen following the reactions of his love.
"Anytime your beauty took control of my brain, or when you briefly mentioned your heats ... God damn it, hyung, I promise I'll take care of you, slowly, gently, however you want ... I'll do whatever you want, Yoongi, and no one will be able to satisfy you like me, ”he whispered, giving up the title reserved for the oldest.
Jungkook jerked his head back, giving Yoongi his brightest smile, completely changing the mood.
"But before that, I want to take you to do activities, eat with me, watch you be happy and laugh by my side, hyung!" He exclaimed, leaving a little kiss on the tip of the older’s nose.
Yoongi blinked quickly, clearly coming out of his trance, before squinting at the younger one.
"You're going to be the cause of all my problems, I know that," he muttered.
Jungkook chuckled as he dropped two more kisses on the plump rosy cheeks he adored so much. The birds were chirping, the sun was shining, love was floating all over town, and Jungkook's heart would overflow.
"Is that a yes, hyung?"
"Only if you live up to your promises," Yoongi replied before kissing his lover's nose as well.
Jungkook smirked.
"You know I'm going to be, hyung, and since you just agreed, I have to tell you that now is our first date!"
In a flash, Jungkook leaned down, and keeping one hand on the older man's back, the other landed under the back of his knees. Yoongi yelped and gripped Jungkook's biceps, finding himself in the air like a bride. The alpha chuckled again when he saw the startled face of the omega.
“Jungkook! D-put me down! ”Yoongi shouted, tightening his grip around the younger's neck.
Jungkook watched him stare at the ground in fright, but the alpha knew him well enough to know he was exaggerating. Yoongi looked up when he heard his lover utter a tender complaint.
“Hyung, you're light as a feather, don't worry, alpha won't let go!” Jungkook said with a smile, and for the first time he noticed how Yoongi's face softened from his smile.
They left the box full of pastries at Yoongi's, the omega still in his arms, both blushing at hearing his mother swoon in front of them, before returning to the main gate. Reaching the metal door again, Jungkook hesitated. Yoongi looked so good, snuggled into his arms, his nose to his neck, completely over his fear, that he didn't want to put him on the ground. However, they were going into the village, and Jungkook didn't want to embarrass him. He sighed as he slowly let him get to his feet.
Yoongi blinked as he lifted his head, confused and so adorable, Jungkook wanted to eat him whole.
"I was thinking of going to the village, so I don't want to bother you too much," Jungkook said shyly.
The older man gave him his signature smile, the one that melted Jungkook, before intertwining his fingers with those of the alpha.
"Let's go then!"
Heart almost pounding out of his chest, Jungkook pushed open the portal, part of him still sure he was dreaming.
Once in the streets, they met several people who sent them smiles. The two were known all over town, as they were always seen together. Aecha, when they walked past his establishment, laughed openly at Jungkook.
"To think that stupid alpha was stressed out," she said to Yoongi, shaking her head.
Jungkook was tired of the blood rushing in his face, but Yoongi was even more sweet with him, whispering to him that he would have been anxious in his place, too. They bumped into friends and acquaintances, children whispering things to each other before asking them questions that Jungkook did not have all the answers to.
“Mr. Jungkook?” one boy asked, with wide eyes and curly brown hair. "Your lover is so pretty, what are you waiting for to marry him? Because I have a girlfriend, and we got married in the playground! ”
The young couple widened their eyes, not knowing what to say. The little girl following him, presumably his girlfriend, nodded enthusiastically.
"Oh yes! And you are so beautiful together, I am sure your children will be adorable! ”
At this point, Jungkook could have been mistaken for a stuck traffic light on stop. He tried to chase away the images of Yoongi, with a rounded belly, holding a baby in his arms, their baby, playing with a child in their house-
This process took longer than expected, because when he came back to reality, the children had run away and Yoongi was staring at him with a gentle smile.
“In a few years?” He asked, squeezing his fingers.
Jungkook could only nod, stuck under Yoongi's spell.
They saw Taehyung and Jimin, seated at a table, and Jungkook gave them a rock sign, index and pinky finger raised, to which Jimin responded with a thumbs up and Taehyung, with eyes to the sky. Seokjin sent them a genuine smile from his row of strawberries, like his employer's daughter in the garage. Jungkook and Yoongi eventually stopped at the top of a hill overlooking the city.
"Well, are you going to tell me what this little walk in the village was really for," Yoongi said with a small smile as the alpha hugged him from behind.
The man buried his face in the omega's neck in the hope that its fruity scent would wash away his embarrassment.
“Jungkook?” Yoongi crooned.
"I'm so glad you accepted, I wanted everyone to know. That I am yours. That you are mine "
Jungkook stood up abruptly, his eyes wide and frightened like a doe.
"II didn't mean that you're an object- Or that you're my possession, well-"
Yoongi turned his head to the side, pressing his nose against the younger's temple.
"I know, darling, I know, and everyone has known for a very long time," he whispered lovingly.
Jungkook tightened his arms around the older one, ignoring the feeling of warmth that spread through him when Yoongi called him darling. They had all the time in the world to come up with a list of sweet names they could use, and Jungkook shuddered at the thought of whispering dozens of them against the ivory skin of the omega.
"I'm going to court you so well, Yoongi-hyung, you're never going to come back from it," he said finally.
Yoongi's laughter reverberated throughout the valley, soft and mesmerizing like his owner, before the latter turned to kiss Jungkook.
Softly, tenderly, lovingly.
