"Rain was pouring, pooling around Namjoon’s boots, soaking his clothes and making him shiver. But he couldn’t bring himself to rush his moves and took another moment to study the small house in front of him. Or rather what was left of it.
The structure had remained, the walls still standing and the roof still in place. But windows and doors had been plundered and broken, leaving behind a blinded, gaping façade. Nature had taken back its rights: ivy spilling out of the windows, weeds visible in every crack in the concrete and moss covered any damp enough area.
Namjoon felt a pang in his chest as he hardly recognized his childhood home, abandoned and left to rot. He was almost sure that the home owners, his parents, had endured the same fate."
