Work Text:
Pro Hero eraserhead and detective Tsukauchi Naomasa were walking back to the station after presumably their last arrest of the night. These streets were usually pin-drop quiet at this time of the night.
So when a green blur rounded the corner and barreled right into them, well, they were a little concerned. And when the blur turned out to be a very out of breath child of about twelve, their concern grew, what was a kid doing out so late.
When the kid regained enough of their composure to look up and speak, they noticed he looked frantic. "Oh! eraserhead san, Detective Tsukauchi San, thank goodness! I think someone was getting mugged!"
He pointed in the direction which he came from and leaned as if to start running again. Eraser and Tsukauchi exchanged a suspicious look "wait how did you-"
"It’s my quirk I’ll explain later" he calls back as he runs. Tsukauchi nods at the hero noting the truth of his words. And the both of them start running to follow.
Before long they arrive at the opening of a tight alley where they can hear some commotion.
A man with what looked like a reptile mutation quirk burst out of the alley at a sprint, holding onto a purse and a knife.
Eraser broke off from the trio and took it upon himself to intercept the thief.
Tsukauchi turned into the alley to find the victim and come to their aid. He found a woman on the floor of the alley seemingly unharmed, although hyperventilating and seeming to have a panic attack.
He crouched in front of the woman who had pale blue hair and bluer skin. He started trying to calm the woman, she was frantically shaking her head as he tried to reassure that she was safe now. She tried to push herself up using the wall, weezing, he stopped her, fearing she would hurt herself.
The green haired child entered the alley shortly after and came up to the pair. "She has asthma." He said.
He was right, it appeared, as the woman's eyes widened looking at the greenette and nodding with urgency. As the kid crouched next to them he asked "ma'am do you have an inhaler with you?"
Yes, she nodded and pointed to the dropped and abandoned bag near the alley's opening. The boy left to get it and was back with it in a few seconds with the woman's inhaler that she gratefully took.
The boy seemed to let out a breath of relief and Tsukauchi was impressed with the efficiency and level headedness the boy displayed. Tsukauchi had already pulled out his phone to request backup so it didn't take long for the first car to arrive to pick up the criminal who looked practically mummified in eraserhead's capture weapon.

When the thief had been picked up by police and the woman was taken home in a similar vehicle. The Hero and the detective rounded on the boy, with an expectant look. The boy wilted as if all the confidence left along with the threat of danger to another person. His Forrest green curls hiding his eyes.
Eraserhead breaks the silence, « so your Quirk ? '' It's prompting and probably harsher than what was deserved by the boy if Tsukauchi’s warning look and the way the boy seems to shrink is anything to go by. but he was one of the most elusive underground heroes on the scene and preciously hoarded his anonymity. And so when a literal child sought him out and called for him by name, he couldn’t help but feel a touch suspicious.
« u-um » the boy stuttered « w-well I guess um, I know things um about people ? » He asked more than said . He briefly looked up to see he had the men's undivided attention only to look back to his shoes so fast as if he'd seen something he wasn't supposed to. He continued.
« Uh yes I know like, um when I first got it, like I could only see people's names and pronouns but um now I can see more?" He looked nervous and guilty but he wasn’t lying, Tsukauchi knew.
"like what ?" Tsukauchi prompted decidedly softer than the pro hero had.
"Um like age and quirks and also profesion and um I guess some details about that, and um medical histories…… um not-not like all of it ! Just some. And um criminal records I guess..." the boy's stuttering ramble paused for a moment while the boy deflated seemingly even more.
"i-i'm sorry I know it’s like invasive but um i-i can’t turn it of so-so I can’t help i-it"
the boy -they should really ask his name- looked at the ground like he was expecting a scolding, like he was expecting to be yelled at, thus missing the stunned faces of the men above him that were thinking about how useful a quirk like his could be in both the fields of underground heroics and detective work.
The boy could be competent. He had been level headed, he helped a woman he'd seen in danger without putting himself at risk, which is more than the Hero could say about some of his students. He seemed to care. He was clearly determined to help others.
He was also undeniably cute and had this inexplicable spark to him that invoked a fierce protectiveness in both adults.
The men looked at eachother
"Dibs!"
