Chapter Text
Jinx was lost.
She knew this to be true, as she has been walking for awhile now in this unfamiliar forest on an unfamiliar path. The air was...clean. The trees. Oh the trees were something indeed. She hasn't seen many trees in her life. Everything she's ever known was rotten, mutated, and dying. It's not that she minded it though. She rather liked her life, in all its chaotic glory. Her world was filled with neon colors and explosives, it was simple. Things go boom. She was content.
She turned her head at the smallest sound. Her gun aimed at her target. She stood still and focused.
It was a rabbit. Cute. She thought.
She put her gun away, and immediately swept it up in her arms. How was she able to catch a bunny that was a rather fast and jumpy animal to begin with. Well, she too was fast and jumpy. It didn't struggle too much in her arms. She started petting it as she continued walking through the forest.
Surprisingly, there was a stream nearby. The water was so...blue. It was..weird. Then again the water in Piltover was also rather blue. But this...was extremely blue and clear. Clearer than theirs. She bent down near the stream, still holding the rabbit and cupping some water in her hands and sipped some.
It was...different.
A good different.
She rubbed the rabbi’s head one more time before she released it from her grasp. She began cupping her hands full of more water, washing her face of the ash and small open wounds on her midsection. It didn't burn..another good surprise.
A snap of a twig.
She rose up immediately, gun out, ready to shoot, aimed to kill. The sound in question was caused by a man in purple..robes.. a dress maybe? She didn't know. She swayed her head to the side a bit, still looking at him.
The man gave one look at her before turning his head to another direction. She could've sworn she heard him say, 'Shameless'.
"What are you doing out here? These are hunting grounds. You could've been hurt!" He was chastising her. She laughed softly at that. Hurt? There hasn't been anything that has 'hurt' her since she arrived. She didn't speak yet, the gun still aimed at him. She still wasn't in the best mood considering what happened before she got here. "Cultivators should be on these grounds, they alone have permission. A civilian such as yourself should not have entered."
The man in question was Jiang Cheng, Sect Leader of the Yunmeng Jiang Clan. He didn't understand why albeit strange, a woman, or anyone besides them would be here. They had cleared the area beforehand, so there shouldn't have been anyone left. Though he said hunting grounds, it was a cover up for the fact that they merely cleared the area due to a large disturbance, so a group of his clansmen and a few others of another clan set out to cleanse the aura.
He turned his head back to her and then looked at her more closely, from her very long unusual blue two-split braided hair, to her vibrant purple eyes, then to her extremely naked form.
She was barely wearing anything, and she was also holding a strange object that was still aimed at him. He was going to assume that it was a weapon considering its being pointed at him. That. Or she's crazy and just pointing some object at him, it wouldn't be a far assumption considering her appearance. Even her expression was slightly crazed. He also noticed she had small cuts and bruises, her own 'attire' if he could even call it that, was charred like she's been in a fire.
Another detail he's gathered is that she hasn't spoken once.
"Are you mute? Or just quiet?" He asked.
"When I want to be." She finally spoke. Her voice was...not what he expected. "I'm lost. Not from around these parts. I didn't know this was closed off, if so, maybe, I wouldn't have entered." She said with a long drawl on the word 'maybe'.
"Maybe?" What does she mean by that, he thought. He'll ignore that statement for now. Right now she seems to be lost and injured. "You seem to be in need of assistance. Come. I'll fetch a physician for you....and decent clothing."
"Huh? What's wrong with my clothes? Their fine, they just need to be washed." She had lowered her gun by now, figuring he's her best bet in figuring out where she is. "It's terribly indecent. How can you wear such a thing? You're practically wearing nothing!" He stated in response.
"Nu-uh." She responded.
"Don't argue. What you wear will capture the wrong kind of attention."
"It's not my fault if they're looking." She stated, but the man was already taking off his front robe and wrapping it around her.
"Regardless. If you must argue with me, we'll discuss it later, for now wear it. I insist."
"Ugh." She rolled her eyes. "Fineee"
"May I have your name, miss?"
"Mmm.." She swayed just a bit in his arms but only slightly, she was rather tired due to the incident that caused her arrival. Still finding her strength, she walked with him. "It's Jinx."
"And may I have the name of my savior?" She asked.
"Jiang Cheng."
"Chen-chen." She said with a small smile.
"You-!"
"Heh."
"That's not my name."
"I know. But the name I gave you is better."
"You are troublesome."
"Nah. I'm jinxed."
