This is the day Bennett has feared his whole life long.
Even with his bad luck, he enjoyed life to its fullest.
He isn’t that old yet for sure, but definitely old enough to say how beautiful life can be.
Yet there are very dark sides to it. Like being abandoned by your family or getting left out by everyone.
The adventurers Guild have been so good to him, they gave him a home, love, and a passion for well Adventures.
He is so grateful for them.
And then how did such an unlucky boy like him get a Vision?
With all the bad luck he has he never thought something so, well amazing would happy to him.
It was his most valuable treasure. Something he would protect with his life.
It was like a bright light that the gods gave to him that helped him not give up hope. Hope for maybe some luck in his life.
Adventuring.. how he loves it.
It was lonely without an adventure team by his side but just that he can go on adventures, even it’s by himself, is more than enough for him.
Being able to look at the beautiful night sky, the billions and billions of stars hanging high above him giving him a bit of light in this dark and cold night is everything and more he ever wished for.
Looking to his side he saw his Vision rest in his hand. He held it so gently.
It gave off a bit of warmth which he is so grateful for in this moment.
His gaze drifts back to the sky.
He is trying to think about something nice. Something to ease the burning sensation of pain is aching through his whole body and mind.
He knew it was going to be hard with all his bad luck.
He knew this day would come, but it was too soon.
He watched as a shooting star passed by in the sky and made a wish.
He wished that it wasn’t him laying here in the wet grass and dirt.
That it wasn’t his blood that soaked the earth beneath him.
He felt as if the night got even colder.
Every bit of wind made this weak body shake.
He wanted to go home.
But where was home?
Mondstadt was his hometown but was there a place in this city full of people that he could call home?
A city that abandoned him and only wanted to have him around if he didn’t cause anything to happen with his bad luck.
Yes, the people were nice to him but only because they pitied him. The boy with such bad luck it physically hurt him and even the people around him.
That’s everything people seemed to know about him.
Does anyone even know the real him? All they seem to know is the happy unlucky boy but he doesn’t think they realize how had it is.
He even has to fear for his life sometimes.
That has always been his biggest fear. That his bad luck would cut short of his life.
It was a thought that haunted him in his restless nights. It followed him into his nightmares and left a burning anxious feeling behind. If followed him on his adventures when the situation got hopeless.
The thought stuck to him like a prophecy waiting to be fulfilled.
The night sky seemed to be shining brighter. It feels like he is looking at it for the first time.
He tries to capture every second of it. He treasured it, saved it in his memories.
The grip around his pyro Vision grew weaker as the flame on it started to fade.
His gaze went empty, everything got blurry it. He saw pots of color and shapes as tears slowly made their way down his face.
He didn't want it to end like this. There was still so much to explore. He finally found someone who didn't mind his bad luck.
But it all caught up yet again.
Now it was too late for help. Too late to go back.
After all, he was just a boy with bad luck.
And his bad luck was the death of him.
No one knew him. He was just a lonely boy, lying somewhere under the night sky taking his last breaths, as the world had already forgotten him.
