There was something wrong with me.
At first I thought I was sick, but I never heard of such symptoms before.
Is this a human thing? Or a sea monster thing?
I can’t sleep. I can’t eat. I walk dazed through day, the sun blinding me. I catch myself staring at random things, my thoughts running off somewhere. There’s a pain in my chest, like a needle stuck in my heart. When I finally fall asleep I have dreams and then I wake up in the middle of the night feeling sweaty and feverish. And then I just sit there and observe the light changing outside.
