Work Text:
Bella had dearly missed her Queen.
This was an unshakable fact. She loved her Queen with all of her dragon heart. Her Queen had given her a soul and a name, and she was the very first being who had loved Bella's existence. Her luscious violet hair and the glimmer of her golden eyes were forever engraved into Bella's core.
It had been many years since Bella was forced into a deep slumber, and so when she felt her Queen's presence and rushed to her side...
Well, perhaps she should not have been surprised that her Queen didn't remember her.
To be fair, her Queen's appearance was completely different. She looked younger, her hair was silver like the moon that saw Bella's soul born, her eyes were blue like the sky it bathed in; she answered to a different name, Kiana, rather than "Sirin".
Despite the lack of memories, despite the different appearance, despite all of this, Bella was certain that this child was her Queen. So she chose to put herself at her service anyway. Regardless of the form she took, her Queen was the most important person in existence.
It was still a little off-putting to hear her beloved's voice call her a "hottie".
"Bella, you've got to see this!" The two of them had traveled to western France, seeking somewhere windy and quiet to hide during the warmer months of the northern hemisphere. It was child's play for Bella to carry her Queen around the world, after all; she had once flown all the way to the moon. Her queen was used to heavy snow, it would not do to sit out summer in sweltering heat.
What did the apple of her eyes have to show her, now?
Kiana was bouncing on her feet, pointing to the beach up ahead. "It's the most amazing thing I've ever seen!"
What could possibly be so amazing? Bella turned her attention to the clear sand, but found no gemstones or any geological formation of note in the landscape. The sea was peaceful, the waves perhaps a little more forceful than strictly necessary but otherwise unremarkable. Of course, there were some worthless humans dotting the beach, but Bella ignored those.
Hmm... no dice.
Just as she turned her head back to her Queen, intending to inquire further as to what was so amazing, a written sign caught her attention. Knowledge of language was gracefully imparted into her by the Will of the Honkai, and thus there was no difficulty in deciphering the warning.
Bella's blood ran cold. She had to get them both out of here! But Kiana's hand was already tugging her forward. No. No! Her poor Queen's innocence! But she was already taking off her jacket as she ran.
Plage nudiste. Nudist beach.
Oh dear. Oh no. Oh dear.
