Work Text:

Noor gazed at her kingdom from the altar she floated on, watching young hylians run around with flowers stuck in their hair and older hylians keep a watchful gaze on their children. It was a beautiful sight, really; watching her people run through the fields and forests with smiles as bright as the sun. What else would the young goddess want more from the people she was trusted to protect.

“Allera, Daughter of Din. I bestow upon you the graceful life of a goddess. Protect the realm of the mortal world and keep your people safe. You’ve done well thus far and I’m very proud of you, my dearest hero,” Hylia had explained, a bright smile on her golden face.

Noor smiled at the memory and gazed at the golden triangle at the back of her right hand, sighing. It had been years since the divine mark showed up on the back of her hand when she first pulled the Master Sword during her hero days. Of course, those days had long since passed, as Hyrule was quite peaceful as of late. No looming threats, no villains out for the massacre of her people.

Although, there had been the occasional concern of there being quite a few monster camps gathering around in groups and clusters. There have been a few advances of their groups, but nothing too big for her to act upon her divine powers. Nothing too big of concern yet.

Noor sighed and stood up, heading down from her altar to take a stroll through the woods of Faron; one of her favourite things to do as a means of clearing her mind.

“Oh, the greens of my dearest Aunt Farore, how beautiful you are,” Noor praised, reaching for an apple on the lush tree she passed by.

She tossed the apple up and down in her hand and admired its beauty, its freshness. She adored the crimson skin surrounding the fruit. Noor bit into the apple and fawned over the sweetness, and continued to bite through it until nothing but its core was left. She then proceeded to replant the seeds into the ground, hoping it would flourish into a beautiful apple tree.

Noor made her way off deeper into the woods before she was approached by a panting soldier, fumbling to kneel himself in front of her. Noor grew concerned at the sight.

“What is it, soldier?” Noor demanded, voice clouded with worry.

“Odd- entity…Gerudo-” the soldier managed through gasps.

Noor’s heart raced at the mention of her home before she thanked the soldier and warped off to the desert quicker than the speed of light. Once Noor made it to Gerudo, she was blasted in the face with the sudden heat of the desert sand and air.

Noor made her way through the sandy dunes beneath her feet as she was hit with a wave of immense, and quite frightful, strength. She immediately grew wary of the power as she approached the direction in which it was resonating from. To her surprise, she found a molduga lying dead on the ground with a giant blade shanked next to it into the sand. Noor drew the Master Sword from her back only to drop it seconds later from the burning sensation in her hand.

“Fi?!” Noor cried, staring at the blue and silver blade that lay in the sand.

“Master, I do not sense any evil in that entity, but I advise you to be wary around them. I cannot give a proper analysis as to figure out who they are,” Fi spoke blatantly.

Noor nodded, sheathing back the blade before she gazed at whoever it was standing in front of her. She knew they weren’t a resident of Hyrule; nothing of the power he emanated gave her the feeling of Hyrule. Upon further inspection of the new figure, Noor took note of the physical attributes that made him up. And boy, did it leave her blushing madly.

What looked to be a seven-foot frame and scars along his back. The figure wasn’t wearing any armour on his torso, nor was he wearing any fabric, revealing his toned muscles. She could tell the approximate height from seeing many seven foot tall Gerudo. Silver hair that shone like moonlight, its length down to his thigh. The figure turned to face her and Noor gasped at the red and blue markings on his face. But what threw her off the most was his eyes; milky white eyes that seemed to suck her in like a void.

The entity took in Noor’s presence before a cocky smirk etched itself on his lips.

“Well, well, well, if it isn’t the Goddess of Power and Love herself~” he crowed, stalking his way over to wedge himself into her bubble.

Noor nearly stumbled on her feet as he came closer to her. She instinctively stepped back, drawing a dagger to defend herself. In a matter of seconds the dagger was flung from her hand, wedged into the sand only a few feet away from her. The entity only smirked wider before he snatched the next dagger she drew away from her, twirling the tiny thing around his finger.

“Who are you?” Noor demanded.

He stepped back and turned, sauntering around her as he continued to twirl the dagger between his fingers.

“That’s for me to know and for you to find out, Your Grace~” the entity jeered, the cockiness evident in his tone.

Noor scrunched her nose in annoyance before she summoned a golden bow, drawing the string in his direction.

“Who are you? Answer me, dammit,” Noor snapped, quite fed up with his cockiness.

The entity raised his arms in defense before turning to her, the cocky grin not leaving his features.

“And what will you do if I don’t answer Her Grace’s questions, strike me down, by any chance? ” he jeered arrogantly.

Noor was ready to fire a volley of arrows before he spoke up.

“They call me the Fierce Deity,” he introduced at long last.

Noor took in his words before her eyes grew wide in realization. She vanished the bow but still kept her guard up.

“You’re- you’re one of the Elder Gods- the God of War!!” Noor exclaimed, but there was no excitement in her voice.

The deity grinned coyly, sauntering back over to where his armour and blade lay in the sand.

“Ah, so you do know me!” he remarked, grabbing hold of his belongings before resting his blade on his shoulder.

“You’re not supposed to be here in Hyrule, what in Din’s name are you doing here?” Noor asked a little calmer, still quite annoyed with his presence.

The deity stared at her, trying to read the emotions hidden behind her eyes that he knew she wouldn’t want him to see before he sighed.

‘Din, you sneaky goddess. Has she not told her daughter that I’ve been sent to keep her safe?’ Fierce wondered to himself before focusing back on the rest of the empty desert surrounding them.

“You’d like to know that, wouldn’t you?” Fierce retorted, dodging her question like they were whizzing arrows.

Noor glared at him only to be met with a stale expression on his face. She heaved a sigh and crossed her arms over her chest before giving him a firm look.

“If you value your life, I would highly suggest you leave Hyrule, especially the Gerudo Desert. I do not wish you the fate of angering the Goddess of Power, not on my home grounds,” Noor warned him.

Fierce quirked an eyebrow up in curiosity.

“Are you challenging me to a duel?” he taunted, the confidence evident in his tone of voice.

Noor grew wide-eyed at his comment before she shook her head, feigning offence.

“Wh- absolutely not!!”

The Fierce Deity let out a laugh at her reaction before giving her a lazy two-fingered salute, warping off to who knows where.

Noor only stared at the spot where he was standing mere seconds ago before she felt her face grow hotter the longer she stared at the spot.

“That jerk! What the hell does he think he’s doing in my kingdom?!” she complained, clenching her fist angrily as she headed off back to the castle.

As she headed back, her mind drifted off to places far and wide. But the one place she refused to let her brain float off to was the thought of the Fierce Deity. No, no she couldn’t—she refused to think about him. Noor shook her head, trying to keep her mind busy with anything but the thought of him.

Of course, her brain had other sinister plans. And of course, it had to be the thought of his muscles that had unintentionally been burned into her mind. What made the image in her mind worse was the fact that she’d only then realized he’d been tanner than your average human. Noor came to the conclusion that it had been from the desert sun, but he must’ve been out for hours if his body was that tanned.

“That moron, doesn’t he know how harmful that is?!” she rolled her eyes, deciding to clear her mind of everything.

Once she had returned to Hyrule Castle, the place she had called home for so long, she headed off back to her room and decided to spend the night taking care of herself; something she hadn’t done in what felt like forever.

Elsewhere, the Fierce Deity had made his way back to the Sacred Realm, only to be met with the Goddess of Light and Wisdom in his way. He rolled his eyes and placed his armour down somewhere close, leaning his elbow to rest on the hilt of his Double Helix Blade.

“What do you want, Hylia?” Fierce asked, his tone filled with fond annoyance.

Hylia giggled and sighed.

“Who dumped the bottle of sun rays on you? You look as baked as a lobster!” she teased, a smile on her face.

Fierce only rolled his eyes again at her teasing before he shook his head.

“Have you even seen a Hylian Lobster to say that?” he sassed, clicking his tongue.

Hylia only giggled at his sass before she nodded.

“Indeed I have, but I’m not interested in that right now,” she answered, growing a little more firm with her next words.

“What’s got you so tanned all of a sudden?” Hylia asked, curiosity engulfing her tone.

“So I can make you fawn over me,” Fierce joked, sending Hylia a cocky smile.

She nearly struck him with a light beam before she groaned. The God of War snickered at her irritated expression before he smiled.

“I went and made sure no monsters would be lurking around the Gerudo Desert to keep the little princess safe from harm should those damned fiends have snuck up on her,” Fierce explained.

Hylia smiled at the mention of “the little princess” before she raised an interested eyebrow.

“I see you’ve taken a liking to protecting my little goddess~” Hylia teased once more, her smile only growing.

“Tch, it’s not at my behest. Din requested of me to make sure her daughter was safe,” Fierce scoffed, turning away from Hylia to hide his crimson-dusted cheeks.

Hylia caught his blush and snickered, only to notice his blush darken with her snickering.

“Someone seems smitten by the Goddess of Love’s magic, wouldn’t you agree, Mother?” Hylia jeered, turning to her mother walking in on the scene.

Nayru gave Fierce a look before scoffing herself. Fierce sent both goddesses a flustered glare before huffing, grabbing his belongings before storming off to who knows where. Presumably, the place he stayed for rest, his area of the Sacred Realm.

On his way, he let his mind wander off to places, wondering what would keep his mind occupied as he went on with the day. The one place he didn’t want his mind to wander to was the thought of her .

“Noor, huh?”

‘Just saying her name makes my face as hot as fire…’ he thought to himself, blushing once again.

“What the hell did she do to me ?” Fierce thought aloud.

“Who?” The god startled at the sudden voice, turning to where it was coming from.

“Y-Your Majesty, I uh- what- what brings you here?” Fierce stammered, straightening up in her presence.

“Valour,” Din nodded. “Who is it you’re mumbling to yourself about? Who is this “she” person?”

Fierce stiffened, trying to choose his next words carefully, lest he evoke her divine wrath. Din stared at him down with an expressionless face, waiting for his inevitable response. He sighed in defeat.

“Her Grace, the Gerudo Princess,” Fierce answered honestly.

Din squinted at him, her fiery eyes filled with a teasing glint. Fierce caught it and blushed profusely.

“I see you finally decided to introduce yourself to your protectee?” Din teased, smiling a little.

Fierce glared at the Elder Goddess with a flustered expression only to be met by another teasing grin.

“I’m not doing this out of the kindness of my heart. I’m doing it at your behest, fuck if I care what happens to her,” he scoffed, huffing and turning away.

Din laughed at his words, knowing that they were completely empty.

“Boy, come tell me that when you’ve spent quality time with the girl. I don’t believe a single word of what you’re saying.”

Fierce rolled his eyes and levelled a glare at her, dropping his formalities.

“Your daughter is very much capable of protecting herself from harm. I don’t see why she needs me there,” he reminded her.

“She indeed is, but it isn’t like there are two more of her to help keep the kingdom safe,” Din pointed out, giving him a knowing look.

Fierce gave up with reasoning, heaving a sigh before collecting himself and turning, bidding her a silent farewell. Din watched the young god storm off before she felt a light tap to her shoulder.

“Go easy on the boy, Your Majesty,” Hylia spoke softly, smiling. “It’s not everyday one gets to be smitten by the Goddess of Power and Love herself?”

Din heaved a sigh and nodded.

“You have a point, but still. That boy knows what he’s saying isn’t what’s inside of his heart. He’s in denial, as is everyone under that power of hers,” the Goddess of Power reasoned.

Hylia nodded in understanding, adding on, “That power of hers is both a blessing and a curse.”

Din heaved a sigh and pinched the bridge of her nose.

“That it is, Young Hylia, that it is…”

Hylia stifled a laugh and gave Din a fond smile. Din turned to Hylia and squinted, wondering just why she’d been acting so cheeky.

“Who, me?” Din nodded, squinting more.

“You’ve seen a glimpse into their future, haven’t you~?” Hylia teased, her cheeky grin only growing.

“Cállate, Hylia,” Din snapped, clearly failing to hide the fond annoyance inside of her. “For your sake and for theirs, cállate.”

Hylia only laughed before she dragged Din back to her sisters, leaving the Fierce Deity’s domain.

As for the God of War and his whereabouts, he’d finally reached his destination in mind; his resting area, also known as the place where he could shift back to a human body without the other goddesses constantly ordering him around to go help the Hylians win another bloodbath. Fierce placed his armour onto his bed, hanging up the Double Helix Blade on the wall. He proceeded to take his teal hat off, placing it on top of his armour. His eye caught the sea blue instrument sitting next to a small picture frame. Fierce picked it up gently and smiled at the figures in the photo.

“Link, Maryssa…I hope you two are doing well,” Fierce wished, fondness finding its way to his voice.

‘Hermano, hermana, you rascal siblings…’ he thought, chuckling to himself.

Fierce set the photo against the table and picked up the little instrument before he examined it and smiled, deciding to take it with him. There were two songs played on the Ocarina of Time that brought about absolute peace of mind to him. But he could only play one of them well, the other needed a part in turn, and clearly he didn’t have that part with him.

“And there’s no way in hell I’m asking Hylia to play it with me…” Fierce grumbled before he decided to strip into a towel to ease his nerves in the hot springs the Sages so kindly built for him.

He headed off to the spring and dropped his towel, grabbing hold of the hair tie keeping his snowy locks together before yanking it out, freeing his quite lengthy hair and letting it fall down to his thighs. Fierce stepped into the steaming water, sighing in relief at the heat of the water calming his aching body.

“Ahh, this feels nice after fighting a molduga…”

He let his head rest on one of the resting stones, both arms up on the stone for better comfort, closing his eyes and letting the heat of the water get to him and his wounds. Despite being up in the Sacred Realm, the night sky above shone down on him, the moon full and bright, its almost divine light casting a beautiful glow on the water. Fierce sighed and let his mind wander off into the night as he rested, only for it to land on the image of the one person he didn’t want. Fierce groaned and rubbed his eyes, trying to get her image out of his head, failing miserably.

“Lo juro… ella puede protegerse muy bien. ¿Por qué acepté esto?” Fierce grumbled into the night, fighting the blush creeping up on him once again.

There wasn’t a soul but Hylia’s who that he’d been watching over Noor long before Din had requested him to. From the way she smiled, to her intoxicating laugh, the way she loved unconditionally to her ways with people and the consequences of their actions. Something about her had caught his eye long ago, and there wasn’t a single person other than her that his damned heart would set sights on.

“Fuck you, Noor…why did you have to damn me with your love?” Fierce asked the sky, his response being silence.

He heaved another sigh, shaking his head before going back to resting it on one of the stones, sinking further into the water.

“Valour~!!”

Fierce jolted and nearly fell under from the shock of her voice calling his name out like that. He held a hand over his heaving chest, his face an absolute steaming mess. Fierce knew that was her voice, but he also knew that the way she said his name wasn’t something he’d heard in this era. He had barely even met the girl today, for crying out loud.

“Maybe it was from another life and I’m going crazy…” Fierce mumbled.

He groaned into the night sky, rubbing his embarrassed face in an attempt to rid his mind of the single, and quite flustering, thought of Noor; which did end up coming to a complete flop in the end. And it would continue to flop the more he tried to deny his inevitable feelings for her.

Although there was one thing he could do to distract his mind from the thought of Noor and her entirety, and that was playing the Ocarina of Time. Fierce sat up properly and summoned the blue instrument in his hand, bringing it up to his lips before playing out the tune as the notes reached the earth below.

The Song of Healing had always brought him a sense of peace, ironic enough to its name. At least that was one thing to keep his mind quiet.

Somewhere else, in an almost identical position he was in, Noor had made it a point to let the heat of the springs get to her body as she slumped further against the stone of the hot springs. It had been a while since she had let herself take a proper night to rest.

“Mmm, this is nice…” Noor sighed in content, slumping into the hot water.

She let her mind ease into the quiet of the night, gazing up at the stars and moon above her in the night sky. It was a beautiful sight, and it felt like her divinity in the day took moments of relaxation as a human like this away from her. If only there were more times like this that she could find and indulge herself in.

Alas, her kingdom and its safety was far more important than herself.

Noor sighed once more and let her brain go quieter, wondering where it would take her.

“Allera~!”

Noor shrieked and nearly fell under, snapping her head behind her, hoping she wouldn’t find the owner of that damned voice standing there with his cocky grin. Thankfully, she didn’t find him there, and wondered why of all things her brain could think of, it had to be him calling out her name like that. She’d barely even known the guy for a day!

“Perhaps it was from a different life…” Noor mumbled.

She groaned and shook her head, knowing the one thing that would empty her mind was playing her Golden Harp. And the one song that always brought calm to her mind was the Song of Healing, ironically enough.

Noor held the harp close and began strumming the tune out, the notes of the song reaching the heavens above.

It was almost as if both tunes from the instruments harmonized with each other, bringing both young gods a sense of togetherness.

It was beautiful. If only they were together…

—————

It had been a month since the Goddess of Power and the God of War had first properly been acquainted with each other, and things had been quite peaceful in Hyrule. Noor had been notified by the people that the land was growing richer and filled with a bountiful amount of crops; courtesy of the combined power of Noor and Hylia. The people thanked her endlessly, and continued praying for her good health and fortune.

“Your Majesty, one of the heroes would like an audience with you,” one of the castle guards announced, saluting in front of Noor.

Noor nodded, ushering for the guards to let them in. Noor’s eyes widened at who the hero was.

“Link?” Noor called, her voice filled with question.

“Noor- there have been sightings of the God of War in the Gerudo region, but no casualties have been recorded. Time asked me to let you know of the situation,” Wild explained.

Noor stood up and grew furious at the news.

“Take your leave, Wild. Thank you for your report,” she huffed, watching him take his leave with Twilight and Time waiting for him outside of the Sanctum.

Noor stood up and stormed off to her room, deciding to throw on her armour, grabbing the Master Sword and its respective Hylian Shield before she took off to the Gerudo Desert. Noor was determined to put a stop to his appearance, else he brought unintentional harm to her people. And she wouldn’t forgive him if she found out any of those she loved were hurt by him.

The Gerudo, despite their past, were her people, and she was determined to keep them safe.

Noor caught sight of the Fierce Deity and growled at his presence, his mere strength nearly throwing her off balance. Fierce sensed her power and looked up from his place and noticed her glare, snickering to himself before he stood up, dusting the sand off of his tunic.

“I see you sensed my presence on your home grounds. Or did that pesky brat tell you I was here?” Fierce jeered, a teasing smile etched on his confident face.

Noor only hardened her glare at him before she stomped over to him and craned her neck to glare up at the seven foot tall god. Fierce only looked down at her with a teasing smile, angering her evermore.

“What are you doing here, I thought I warned you to not step foot on the Gerudo Desert!?” Noor demanded, her voice snappy.

Fierce let out a laugh. Noor grew furious before he rested his arm on the hilt of his blade, gazing down upon her, a cocky grin chiseled on his lips.

“Someone seems to have woken up on the wrong side of the bed?” Fierce teased, his voice dripping with arrogance.

Noor grew ticked off fairly quickly with every word that came out of him before she snapped completely, lifting his chin with the tip of the Master Sword, her glare not softening on her features.

“Listen up, Deity. If you don’t leave these grounds by the time I’m done talking, this sword is getting shoved down your throat and I won’t hesitate to spill divine blood,” Noor threatened, her voice angered and firm.

“Very well then. How about a deal, Princess of the Gerudo?” the Fierce Deity offered, watching the goddess grow curious at his words.

“I challenge you to an all out duel: if you win, you have the choice to give me whatever divine punishment you see fit. But if I win, I am to rule this kingdom alongside you, and equally . How about it, Goddess of Power?” Fierce challenged, a cocky, arrogant smirk printed on his lips.

Noor lowered the Master Sword from his chin and smirked back.

“Fine, I accept your challenge. You have yourself a deal,” she complied.

Fierce chuckled and lifted his blade from being wedged in the sand, turning on his heel to leave some space for them both. Noor mirrored his actions before she pointed her blade towards him with confidence. He did the same before he grinned once more.

“Oh, I can’t wait to win this,” Noor sighed confidently.

“Don’t grow too cocky, Princess. It could get you killed~” Fierce retorted.

Noor chuckled before she crossed the Master Sword. Fierce crossed the Double Helix Blade against it as their blades crossed, just waiting to meet each other in the thrill of battle.

Not long after, Fierce charged her, slashing at the spot where she stood mere seconds ago as she dodged just in time. Noor was quick on her feet, zooming past his slashes before she got in his face, grinning confidently as she swung down. Fierce quickly defended before their blades collided against each other, only a few inches between them for space.

“You’re not so bad,” Noor noted, her grin faltering as he nearly got a hit on her.

“I’m not, I already told you, I’m the Fierce Deity!” Fierce snickered, going ruthless on her, not letting her gain any upper hand.

Noor deadpanned at the joke before she nearly bit the dust again, just barely dodging his attack on her.

“Come on, don’t tell me you’re giving up already! I’ve barely even broken a sweat!” Fierce exclaimed, powering through her feeble defence.

Noor grew defensive much quicker than she originally anticipated, nearly slipping up a couple times in the process.

‘Dammit- how is he this powerful…?’ she thought to herself before jumping to the side, successfully performing a flurry rush on him.

Fierce stumbled back, scoffing at her ability to break his defence with a move like that.

“Ease off, dammit! Jeez!” Noor complained, panting at the ruthlessness of his blade.

Fierce scoffed, panting as he wiped the blood off of the side of his lip, answering, “Don’t you know I’m not a god who grants mercy?”

Noor blinked before he was on her once again, slashing and cutting right through her armour and defence with relative ease. Fierce was quick to break her armour with the Double Helix Blade; he almost compared it to a twig—breakable with ease. Of course, he couldn’t neglect the fact that she had gotten quite a few hits on his armour, as well, going so far as to cracking his chestplate and leaving him in the fabric of his tunic.

Fierce flipped back, fooling Noor into thinking she had breathing room as he watched her calculate her next moves.

‘She’s strong, much stronger than anyone I’ve ever faced, I’ll give her that. But she’s still not strong enough to beat me. I’ll show her a defeat worse than death,’ Fierce thought to himself, panting as he kept her gaze between her and his destroyed armour.

Noor struggled to keep herself up on her feet, his strength far too much for her to keep up with. Her armour was strewn across the desert sand, his own broken armour poking out of little dunes created by their incredible footwork on the battlefield. Fierce took in a sharp breath, nearly collapsing from the heat of the desert alone. Noor nearly fell over, not realizing the heat was getting to her quicker than she wanted it to before she watched his footing.

“Your first mistake,” Fierce started. “Was challenging me on the grounds that I have the most control over my power.”

Noor barely had time to blink before he charged her, breaking right through her feeble defence that was the Master Sword in front of her acting as a shield.

“No- wait!!” Noor cried, too slow to move out of the way, her grip on the Master Sword tightening.

“When will you learn that I am not a god who grants sympathy?”

He slashed it out of her hands, watching it fly into the air before he pressed his foot right into her chest, kicking her quite a few feet back. Noor struggled to get up, her body far too exhausted to move. Fierce caught the Master Sword in his left hand, the Double Helix Blade in his right as he caged her head between both blades, digging his knees into her shoulders, pinning her down into the sand. Noor struggled to free herself from her grip before he leaned down to her face. She blushed at their proximity.

“Yield, you’ve lost this battle,” Fierce commanded, his voice low and rough.

Noor let out a breath she was holding out before she closed her eyes, accepting her defeat with a bitter taste in her mouth.

“I- I surrender…you’ve- you’ve won…” Noor gasped out, breathing heavily.

Fierce nodded, his head spinning from the heat of the desert finally kicking in and getting to him. He slowly let his knees leave her shoulders, but not before leaning down to her ear.

“You are the first among everyone who I’ve fought that managed to do this much damage, and for that, I leave you with a mark to remind us both of this day,” Fierce whispered quietly, a tired smirk on his face.

Noor caught a glimpse of it and shoved his face away, absolutely steaming in the face.

“Fuck- fuck you, Deity…” she groaned out, sighing in content at the sound of his laugh.

Fierce held her chin with his index and thumb, letting his power flow into her as he smiled in satisfaction at the markings appearing faintly on her face. Noor grew confused but didn’t bother asking, as she was too tired to even form a coherent thought.

Fierce stood up, leaving his armour strewn on the battlefield to serve as a memoria of their battle.

“I’ll see you in the next few days at our coronation ceremony, My Queen,” Fierce reminded her, grabbing the Double Helix Blade and disappearing.

Noor could barely feel her body. It felt like he put her through hell and back. She couldn’t move, she couldn’t form a coherent thought.

How did she lose to him?

How was the kingdom going to react?

Would they ridicule her for losing on her own ground?

Would they accept him as their other patron god, their other ruler?

All of these questions swirled around in her already aching head before she just sat there in the sand. After what felt like forever, which had only been an hour, Noor finally gained the strength to head back to the castle, hoping that nobody would see her in such a pathetic state.

Up in the Sacred Realm, Fierce had done the same thing, only to be faced with the goddesses. He groaned and walked past them before he was stopped by Din. Fearing what came next, Fierce turned and faced her.

“You shouldn’t have gone that hard on the girl,” Din scolded, but it wasn’t nearly as harsh as he thought it would be.

“Your Majesty, with all due respect, your daughter is the first person since you Elders created this world that’s been able to get me in such a pathetic state,” Fierce explained, gesturing to the scars and broken armour.

Din laughed a little before she patted his shoulder gently.

“You’ll make a fine king to Hyrule with her.”

Fierce blushed at her words before huffing and heading off to his area to rest after his battle. He wanted his mind cleared so he could later on process everything and figure out his next course of action. But before any of that, rest came first.

—————

Noor was knocked out asleep in her bed, her hair an absolute mess as drool marks were on her pillow. It had been three days since her battle against the Fierce Deity, and the castle and kingdom had been making preparations all around for the coronation ceremony.

“Princess!! Please wake up! It’s your coronation day!!” one of the maids called from outside.

Noor groaned and sat up tiredly, yawning and rubbing the sleep from her eyes. She let the words sink in before she woke up in panic.

“IT’S WHAT-”

“Yes, Princess! Please wake up! We need to get you ready!” the maid confirmed.

Noor threw the sheets over her, rushing to grab a pair of undergarments before she ran into her shower, getting her day started. It was going to be busy and hectic, and Noor needed to be prepared for her ceremony, and she needed to look presentable enough in front of her future king.

After showering, and after finally being awake enough, Noor stepped out of her bathroom and walked back into her room, calling for the maids to help her with getting ready. The maids, holding a beautiful blue ball gown in their arms, along with a plethora of other things for her ceremony. They sat Noor down and began readying her.

Somewhere up in the Sacred Realm, Fierce was getting the exact same treatment from the four goddesses.

“wOUld you stop pulling at the stupid corset?!” Fierce shrieked, snapping his head at Hylia, who stood behind him laughing.

“Relax! It’ll be over before you know it!!” Hylia exclaimed, giggling as Din struggled with his hair.

“Why did you have to grow out your hair so long!?” she demanded, putting the finishing touches on his bangs, tying up his little braids the tiny Minish helped with.

Fierce chuckled at their help and thanked them as they finished with him.

“There! Now all you need is to go present yourself to your queen~” Hylia teased, watching his face grow crimson.

“SHUT-” Fierce nearly threw hands with her before she turned into a laughing mess.

Din smiled and tapped his shoulder.

“You indeed are fit to be a king,” she smiled.

Fierce blushed and nodded, staring down at his hands before clenching them in determination. The other goddesses smiled and nodded in approval before they all decided to head down to Hyrule. He couldn’t keep his queen waiting, after all.

Once they all made it to the castle, they met with the maids of the castle to figure out where Noor was.

“Your Majesty, Her Majesty is in her room, the very last door at the end of the hallway that is up these stairs,” the maid explained.

Fierce nodded in understanding.

“I’ll meet you all in the Sanctum then?” he confirmed before getting his answer before booking it up the stairs to her room.

Noor sat at her vanity strumming quietly on the harp, the sound of it reaching Fierce’s ears as he followed the directions that the maid gave him. He reached the door where the music got loudest before he slowly knocked, saddening when her music stopped.

“Come in?” Noor called from inside.

Fierce creaked open the door and found her sitting at her vanity looking as divine as she was.

Noor was dressed in a blue velvet dress, almost identical to Zelda’s royal dress. Her hair was curled up and placed into a bun, strands of her bangs falling down on either side. She was wearing her silver metal hoops along with a necklace along with it. She looked perfect, and Fierce forgot how to breathe for a moment.

“O-Oh, it’s just you,” Noor mumbled quietly, turning to hide her blush at the sight of him.

Fierce blushed harder before clearing his throat, walking over to her as he leaned against the wall.

“Wh-what brings you here?” Noor stammered, trying to contain her staring, and failing.

He caught her staring and chuckled.

“Maids told me you were up in your room, and I wanted to be the first to see my queen before she dubbed me as her king,” Fierce answered, smiling softly.

Noor gave him a look.

“Really? Or is it because you didn’t want the kingdom seeing you a flustered mess gazing at my beauty?” Noor teased, a giggle escaping her at the crimson dusting his face.

“Maybe it is, what then?” Fierce retorted, watching her eyes widen at his comeback.

He snickered and pushed himself off of her wall, offering her his hand. Noor placed the harp down and slowly took his hand before he pulled her body into his. Noor blushed and refused to make eye contact with him, her embarrassment far too much. Fierce noticed the crimson creeping up on her cheeks before he chuckled once again.

“Oh, you’re going to regret losing to me after today,” Fierce jeered, lifting her chin up to face him.

She was met with eyes as blue as a silent princess at night before her own crimson ones grew wide in surprise.

“You’re-” she gasped.

“Not a god of origin? Yeah, and neither are you,” Fierce answered her, a small smile on his lips.

Noor grew lost in his eyes for a moment before she blinked at the sound of bells.

“That’s our cue,” Fierce mumbled.

Noor nodded and gave herself one last look before she grabbed the Master Sword off of the wall, giving Fierce a knowing look. He returned it and offered her his hand once more. She took it and smiled genuinely for the first time.

“Well? Shall we, My Queen?” Fierce offered, holding her hand tightly.

Noor nodded and gripped his hand just as tight, letting him lead her off to the Sanctum.

There were many speeches made when the pair of royals waited in the Sanctum for the ceremony to be well underway before Zelda called Noor and Fierce up to the stage so she could dub him as her king, and the other ruler in throne alongside Noor.

Fierce knelt down in front of Noor before she unsheathed the Master Sword, holding it out on his shoulder.

“Fierce Deity, God of War, do you pledge yourself to protecting this kingdom and its people, alongside protecting me as not only your queen, but your princess as well? Do you swear to these conditions, and promise you will do everything in your power to keep your word?” Noor recited.

“I solemnly swear and pledge myself to protect the people of Hyrule. I solemnly swear and pledge myself to protect you, not only as your king, but as your knight and personal guard. I will do everything in my power to keep you safe,” Fierce swore, looking up at her with sincere eyes, but a coy smirk on his lips.

Noor held back the blush and tapped his shoulders with her blade before she was handed a silver crown. Fierce got down on both knees and lowered his head. Noor placed the crown on his head and smiled down at him. He smiled right back before she commanded him to rise. And he did.

“My Queen, I will protect you and your people, that I swear to you, even if it costs me my life, I will,” Fierce assured her, smirking a little at her crimson cheeks.

Noor fumed before smiling fondly, something she hadn’t done in years.

The look alone shot him down on the spot before he took her hand and led her off to the highest balcony of the castle, if only to spend the rest of that glorious day with her by his side.

And things would continue like that for the months to come.

But peace didn’t last forever, after all…

—————

A couple months after Fierce was crowned the king of Hyrule, evil lurked around in the underworld, plotting the demise of Noor, if only to throw Hyrule into utter chaos. But the demons of Ganon’s army hadn’t been successful at all, as Fierce never left Noor’s side.

“That damned god, when will he leave her side?!” Ghirahim complained outrageously.

He needed to lure her out and alone, and he needed to do it quickly. The Hylian forces were growing far too strong for Ganon’s army and Ghirahim was beyond furious about it. He slammed his hands on the wall before disappearing to the land above, intent on finding that damned Goddess of Power.

Noor on the other hand was, to her misfortune and to Ghirahim’s luck, walking alone through the Faron region. Noor found out in the last few months of better knowing the Fierce Deity that he had the ability to control thunder and lightning, and that both Gerudo and Faron were the two places in Hyrule that he was strongest in. She found herself walking through Faron much more often than usual, his strength coursing through the ground, in the forests, in the sky, all around her. It brought her a sense of protection, but it also made her flustered to no end. Noor sighed fondly at the thought of Fierce; she had come to terms that he wasn’t, in fact, going to bring harm to her people or her kingdom, and their bond only grew stronger from there on.

Alas, her thoughts were cut short by a sudden attack on her as she was kicked hard to the ground. Noor cried out in pain as she hit the ground hard before she quickly dodged the demon’s attacks. But he landed several brutal blows to her body before cornering her. Noor groaned in pain as she tried making her escape, failing pathetically.

“It’s unfortunate to see such a beautiful being be put in her place, but you were never supposed to live this long, Little Desert Girl,” Ghirahim taunted, closing in on her.

Noor couldn’t even muster the magic to summon forth a blade to defend herself as he had her binded by dark magic.

“You- you’re Demise’s right hand! Ghirahim!” Noor snapped, her voice filled with venom.

“Oh, I’m so glad you know the name of the man who will bring about your death~” Ghirahim cooed.

He lifted up the blade in his hand and brought it down quickly. Noor cowered and was for sure she’d have died before she looked up at her saviour.

“What?!” Ghirahim spat furiously as he tried prying his blade from the entity’s shoulder.

“Get your damned demonic hands off of my princess, you unsolicited rat,” Fierce ordered, his voice completely filled with rage as he dug the Double Helix Blade deeper into Ghirahim’s abdomen.

Doing so broke the dark magic binds off of Noor, but the toll he paid for pulling such a stunt would have been priceless if the demon hadn’t made his escape, completely scathed. There was no sign of Ghirahim anywhere before Fierce collapsed to his knees, falling unconscious in her grasp.

“NO-”

Noor held him closer as the sun set on the horizon before she managed to make her way off to the hot springs, knowing that was the only place nobody could find her, nobody but Fierce. She made her way back via a quick teleportation before she set him down gently on the stone of the hot springs just beside the water, making her way through the kinks in his armour, successfully removing it all before she decided to change into something more comfortable, as she knew they’d be spending another night here.

Noor sat down and let a leg dangle in the water, holding Fierce’s body against her own as she hovered her hand over his wound, grimacing at how painful it looked, grimacing even more at the thought of how much pain he was in. She continued to heal it before the wound finally closed up, and she sneakily planted a small kiss on his shoulder where the wound originally was before she noticed his body relax in her embrace.

“Thank Din, you’re alright…” Noor mumbled, holding him closer to her.

It took him about an hour to come back to the waking world before Fierce jolted up.

“Noor- !!”

The girl panicked and held him closer to her.

“Hey, hey, relax…I’m alright…” Noor cooed quietly, holding his shoulders.

Fierce groaned and rubbed his eyes, sitting up properly before he turned to face her.

“Fierce?” Noor called, worry etched on her face.

Fierce suddenly pulled her into a tight hug, earning a small squeak from Noor before she warmed up in his chest, hugging him back.

“Thank Din you’re okay…” he mumbled into her hair as he pulled her body closer into his chest, the warmth of his bare body seeping into her own.

“I told you already, I’m not leaving you,” Noor reminded him, stuffing her face in his warm shoulder.

Fierce nodded, sighing in relief before he hugged her waist closer to him, wanting to ensure she was there and that she wouldn’t disappear.

“Don’t do that again though…please,” Noor begged quietly as tears stung her eyes.

“Noor, I swore an oath that I’d protect you, even if it cost me my life,” Fierce reminded her before she lifted her face from his shoulder.

“Valour, please-”

He was still getting used to hearing her say his name, and he knew whenever she did, she meant it from deep down. Fierce sighed and lifted her face up, cradling her cheek with his hand as he wiped her tears away with his thumbs.

“I can’t promise it, but I will try,” Fierce assured her, smiling fondly.

Noor’s heart fluttered at the sight of his smile before she reached up to hold his face in her hands, caressing his cheeks softly. Fierce knew there was only one chance he could finally claim her as his, and he decided to take that chance. He leaned down before stopping an inch away from her lips. He searched her eyes for any doubt, but found none before Fierce sealed his lips against hers in a searing kiss. Noor responded in kind, kissing back as she sighed in content against his lips. This went on for another moment of eternity before they both broke off, breathing heavily.

“I love you, Valour.”

“I love you too, Allera.”

And that was the first of many more to come.
